@HCP A non-0.5 spread actually gives more information - for example a change from 0.25 to 0.75 means the odds are shifting slightly higher. We could hide it if you'd like Ahhhh I suspected that there would be a reason for it... and I thought it might be to show that, in the opinion of the bookie it was going to be a tight result... or they felt that the team was almost good enough for a whole other point. Nice feature that I haven't actually seen in most sportsbooks. For a spread bet, if it's a draw after applying the spread, @BookieBig counts it as a push. So in your example if the score was 2-1 to Aberdeen you'd get your money back for a spread bet on Aberdeen -1. However, for moneyline bets a draw would count as a loss for the punter.
As I'm about to find out... stupid Hull City... meh... couldn't even score 1 goal against Grimsby Town... GRIMSBY TOWN!!?! Still, it might be worth adding a /FAQ or /help command to the bot, to explain your house rules for such things... I know some sportsbooks will count a draw on a spread bet as a loss... So it would be a good idea to point out that you guys are awesome and count it as a push

Sounds more like something one would do with a little linux command line fu. Im thinking with awk, grep and pipes it shoudl be possible to take the output from vanitygen and pipe it into two different files.
Failing that... editing the pattern.c source file from the vanitygen github and recompiling should enable one to output the values to 2 separate files instead of either the console or to 1 file. (Hint: around line 500 is the vg_output_match_console() procedure that deals with outputting the matched addresses/keys) I'm just trying to figure out why someone would want something like this in the first place?

If you're after an android wallet... I'd avoid Electrum... their android client is pretty horrible from a UI/UX point of view. It honestly looks like it was put together by someone who doesn't understand Android dev.
I've been using Mycelium. In the week or so that I've been using it, it seems pretty robust and works OK (I have used it via mobile data 3G and WiFi with an underlying 1 megabyte/sec ADSL connection.)
They are supposedly bringing out a shiny new version of Mycelium at some point... but the current client isn't too bad.

Club friendly matches Club Brugge vs Olimpiacos Both teams to score yes @ odd 1.57 Base bet 250 mBTC (Risking it big this time as I have high confidence this will come out as a win)
Any advice on a head to head, spread or over/under for this? my sportsbook doesn't have BTTS option If not, I might just have to wing it and go try for some Tennis bets...

Yeah... I forgot to put my bet on the Airbus UK Broughton vs. Colchester United game... I would have won that one too! Ok, so a couple more things that I have noticed and think might be helpful for others: Is there a reason why some of your spread bets are in 0.25s and 0.75s? Spread /DD3 Airbus UK Broughton 1.25 (-107) /DD4 Colchester United -1.25 (-112)
/CC3 Inter Milan (n) -1.75 (104) /CC4 CSKA Sofia 1.75 (-124)
I realise it really makes no difference to the result as such... as regardless of the decimal value used, it still achieves the same result... preventing a "tie" bet... I'm just used to seeing 0.5 increments Speaking of "tie" bets... I noticed that there have been some "even" spreads... like the Aberdeen one was Spread /QQ3 Aberdeen -1 (-133) /QQ4 Ventspils 1 (104)
If the score had been 2-1 to Aberdeen, resulting in the spread score being 1-1 if you took the Aberdeen option... what would the result of the bet be? ie. what is @BookieBig's policy on "tie" bets for "even" spreads? Is it a loss for the punter or a no result, funds returned type deal?

Why do people fool themselves when they gamble ? I hear many people many times say you should roll lots of 98% or 90% or whatever odds on dice.
That's a bad idea and way less profitable so why do people fool themselves into thinking its better to bet low odds.
Of you roll 50% or 5 rolls at 90% some people will tell you to do the 90% one. The chance is the same actually. You actually lose half your profit rolling at 90%
5rolls of 90% = 50% profit.
1 roll at 50% = 100% profit.
Ita basic maths people....
I think you're wrong. 1 roll at 50% can make you lose 100%. Whereas 5 rolls on 90% can lead to win with a higher probability This is wrong! 10% x5 = 50% and is 50% more than on 100% and what if you lose first time on 90% you risk all fpr 10% ? Rather risk all fpr double. Wow... the level of maths fail here is astronomical... It is quite obvious reading the numerous responses on this thread that there is a basic lack of understanding of how probability and statistics work. Firstly, 5 rolls at 90% IS NOT equal to the chance of 1 roll at 50%... the 10% chances of lose DO NOT stack up each roll... this is also not a conditional probability... each roll is independent of the previous roll(s)... (assuming the game isn't rigged) So... if you have 90% odds of winning... roll 1: lose % = 10% roll 2: lose % = 10% roll 3: lose % = 10% roll 4: lose % = 10% roll 5: lose % = ?? I'll award 100internetz to the first person that can guess the answer .... roll N: lose % = 10% likewise... if you have 50% odds of winning... roll 1: lose % = 50% roll 2: lose % = 50% roll 3: lose % = 50% .... roll N: lose % = 50% 90% chance of winning is obviously greater than 50% of winning.... to put it another way... if you roll 10 times, at 90% you should win 9 out of those 10. At 50% you should win 5 out of those 10. The casinos recognise this, and therefore adjust the payouts accordingly, so you win more often, but you win less each time. Going by the logic you guys are using, you should NEVER EVER play 50% more than once... because 2x 50% = 100% so you are guaranteed to lose right??? That obviously explains why you can get those 5+ win streaks on 50% odds... oh... wait... Secondly, to the guy going on about running into house edge "more often" taking 5 rolls... *sigh*... the house edge is built into the odds and payouts you are getting... this is why the dice site doesn't even offer 50% @ 2x payout... If you want 50%, the payout will be 1.975x-1.99x... If you want 2x they only offer 47.5-49% of winning... That is their "mathematical" edge... they don't give you "true" payouts for the odds you get... Honestly, I need to find some investors and start an online gambling site... no wonder they make so much money... with so many people gambling money who clearly don't understand how it works.

Having the backup PDF stored safely is your "complete ownership" to your underlying coins, with the backup PDF you can always recover your bitcoins when neccesary, even when Blocktrail would be offline. You can do this with our recovery tool ( https://recovery.blocktrail.com/ source: https://github.com/blocktrail/wallet-recovery-tool), read more about it here: https://blog.blocktrail.com/2015/11/blocktrail-wallet-recovery-tool/The recovery can also easily be ran locally. The reason why exporting private keys doesn't make sense anymore with most modern wallets is because they are HD, the fact that exporting private keys is such a horrible backup solution is actually the whole reason why HD wallets were invented. You now have 1 future-proof backup that doesn't need when you create new addresses (which for privacy reasons you should be doing for every transaction). Another reason is that the Blocktrail wallet is a multisig HD wallet, so recovering your bitcoins using a different wallet isn't as simple as just importing private keys, the wallet which would import the privatekeys would need to have some extra code to understand how the multisig HD is structured and the same for other multisig HD wallets (because they're all slightly different). A very detailed and comprehensive answer. Much appreciated... and answers my question "What am I not understanding properly about these HD wallets?" So, to clarify for my 9am brain suffering from a lack of caffeine... the Heuristically Determined, or HD, wallets... start with the single "seed" which will then generate 'random' bitcoin addresses in the same repeatable order each time? So, I start with seed xyz... this would generate address1 = syj, address2 = vbc, address 3 = gds, address 4 = teg etc. Then my cat spills my coffee all over my laptop and it explodes... so I buy a new laptop, reinstall my HD wallet... enter seed "xyz" and it starts back at 'syj', then 'vbc' etc etc?? So rather than needing to store/backup a private key for every address I ever create... I just need that initial seed and I'm golden?? I can certainly see the benefits in that!

Hi...
The point of having the private keys is complete ownership of the underlying bitcoins. It also allows one to "move" to a different wallet/system with a minimum of fuss should various factors dictate that such a move was required.
Can I flip the question around and ask why you wouldn't/don't give access to the private keys?

The giant flaw in this "martingale" system being that just doubling the size of your wager only works if the payout is 2.0... if it is any smaller, you don't recoup your loses from the previous bet(s)... and on sports bets consistently taking payouts of 2.0+ is taking HUGE risk... At least on a dice site you're getting like 47.5-49% odds of winning... a 2.0+ on a sports bet isn't even truly close to that... unless you're using a sportsbook who have no idea what they're doing!

Congrats on the win! You should see your payout now. We're working on a system to resolve wagers automatically, but for now we're resolving manually. So give it a 24-hour window or so to pay out.
Good call about the display system. Does anyone else here prefer those formats? If so I'll add it to the task list.
To answer your question, wagering 210 to win 100 is a proportion too. You'd flip it to find your profit for wagering $10. $10 * 100/210 ~= $4.76 profit
Anyways, it's a lot of mental conversion if you're used to seeing it a certain way. Two ideas: 1. you could enter different amounts and the bot could tell you how much you stand to win 2. like you suggested, we could have a preferences menu where you can customize your display.
Cheers... yep, I can see the payout now... woooooo look at me the professional sports gambler! I'll be more patient next time... Yeah, I was reading about how the US odds system works... man, those americans like to complicate stuff! Seriously... what is so difficult about odds of 1.09 etc? I put in 10... I get 10x1.09 back... EASY... it's like feet, inches, yards and miles... hahaha Personally, I think I would prefer a preferences menu that would let me customise which way to display the odds... But then, I'm not your coder... (Big shout out to your dev team, what you've come up with so far is actually pretty intuitive and easy... and I've been there and faced the "But it's only a checkbox... how hard can it be to add it in?" type requests before )

@bittysmalls, Couple of things... how long does a payout on a bet usually take? I put a bet on last night for an event that was due to run this morning... When I do /pending, I get: 0.0015 btc on Fleetwood Town v Liverpool, Moneyline, Liverpool (-210) started 11 hours ago Liverpool won 5-0... (I knew I should have taken the -1 spread or the over 2.5! hahah ) Also, would there be a way to customise the way the odds are displayed? I'm not terribly familiar with this system (I believe it is the US system)... so seeing a value of -210 means pretty much nothing to me... I believe it means I would need to wager 210 to get back 100... but I've no idea how much I'll get back if I wager like $10... I'm more used to the decimal/European (ie. 1.09) or fractional/UK (ie. 4/1) type odds display.

... but even the domain website registered until 2018 there is no guarantee this site will scam after 2018 and my predictions before 2017 this site will be scam the website is registered until 2018, so do you think it will stay legit for at least one year ?
I really don't know why people seem to think that how long the domain is registered for gives any indication of how legit a website is??!? When you register a domain name, you can usually elect how long you want to register it for ranging from 1 year to 10 years (or more)... Given that you can register a domain for like $10/year... it really doesn't cost much to register one for 10 years... The date a domain is registered until gives no actual indication of anything other than the person who registered it, will retain the rights to that domain until that date. It certainly gives no indication if the site is legitimate, or how long it will be functional... there are plenty of registered domains that have NO website, service or business activity associated with them... ie. person wanted to reserve a domain, company gone out of business etc.

Seems that there is some confusion between "custom" and "vanity"...
They are the same thing... they refer to an address like "1bapparabiXwo2uWf9gl920r0"
Your options are to follow the thread that was linked...
PROs: "free", more secure as no one else has ever seen private key. CONs: takes time, requires basic commandline skills, requires you to download and run app.
Or you can use one of the various services to generate one for you...
PROs: less effort required, no download required CONs: possibly costs money, less secure as someone else has seen the private keys, still can take time
Whichever way you generate it, you then just need to import the new address into your wallet by importing the private key matching the new address.

Genesis mining are pure scammers ... Genesis takes your money and when you start to receive your mined coin(s) you will realize even now with 2 years X11 contracts You can only profit 20% of your invested funds though I'm not taking into account if the coin stops being profitable you Lose everything whatsoever, they send you small amounts every day and one third of the amount that your contract earned you goes For transaction fees, so fu*ked up those thieves.
So you get 20% return over 2 years and that makes them scammer thieves??!? Just because they don't claim you will get 3%/day, doesn't make them a poor investment... if anything, offering "realistic" and sustainable returns makes them more trustworthy... As opposed to all the ponzi schemes offering ludicrously high returns that just aren't possible with mining... Think about it... miners were getting single digit yearly returns (before the halving)... what chance they have for being able to provide that daily?

My worst mistake ever was as a dealer at the casino... I was on a Caribbean Stud Poker table... this one guy had been losing losing losing for like about 30 or 40 hands... I was doing the initial deal for a new hand, as I took the cards from the shuffler machine to give to this guy, they caught on the little lip that prevents them flying out of the machine and I ended up flipping the cards into my chip tray... face up. The supervisor came over and because I had exposed more than 1 card, we had to declare a misdeal and void the hand and start again... The guys hand would have been 3 Kings... on his $150 bet I felt soooooo bad... and he was actually pretty matter of fact and cool about it, even though he had been losing straight for close to an hour... which just made me feel worse... but in my own defense, it was during the later part of an 8hr shift at around 2am
