5281  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Selling Bitcoin Over Market Price? on: September 07, 2017, 01:41:52 PM
So are buying/selling prices roughly the same then?

Can you tell me what is the buy price of btc on bittrex right?  And tell me what is the btc to usd price on google when you check on bittrex?  Im curious how far is the price difference?  Because if its the same... then couldnt i just make profit if someone is willing to pay me 2 percent extra?  Like if they want 1 btc... i check price on bittrex.  Then i tell them okay its this price + 2 percent so this much?  However i would like to use the btc to usd rate on google though because thats how i usually do it with ppl i trade with.  So would this work?  Like once he agrees, then i immediately buy the btc on bittrex.  Then he sends me the money online...then i send him that amount of btc etc?  Thus its not like im buying and waiting to sell for 2 percent more.  Im waiting for someone to tell me i want to buy btc now...do you have?  Then i check bittrex and say sure... price is this plus 2 percent.  Then they agree and pay me money, then i send btc.  So wouldnt i make around 2 percent less the fees?  Thus every 1000 dollars of btc i buy and sell to that person, wouldnt i make around 18 dollars or so?

If you head to the marketplace on this forum you will notice lots off advertisements stating they are selling or buying "preev+ x%". Preev is one of the most used price indicators around the forum, but you can use whatever price you choose. It is usual to "lock" the price once you agree on a transation so that you cant delay a transation because you are waiting for the prce change. So someone would send you a message saying " ok, we agree that i sell 0,5 BTC for 2000$. and even if the price changes the next minutes hours your transation is a the agreed price. If you can provide a service here selling and buying BTC , yes you can make a profit.
The thing you said was right on which most sellers on here do really prefer or basing on preev.com price plus on the interest they do set in and as being said even the price moves if the deal was on that price point then it doesnt really matter even the price would moved up or down. Its would really be still the same.On this way buying selling might really be profitable for you if you do really know on what you are doing.
5282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen to ETH now that ICO is dead? on: September 07, 2017, 01:14:00 PM
Eth may be a little affected by the ban raised by the china but eth will still live, it will survive. I don't think this is the worst situation eth has been thru and china is just one country. So long as there are still people investing in this coin and so long as its technolgy continues to impress people and prove its significance then eth will live.
It will surely live but as you said it would be somehow affected considering that Chinas participation on ICO does really give an impact since they do have the money to invest on but well since they are banning ICO then its not really the end of ETH knowing that china is just really single country and there are still lots who arent banning ICO. Theres still lots of ways.

It seems to me that China no longer has a significant influence on alternative currencies and on the crypto currency market as a whole.
The news of the ban has indeed lowered the price of the crypto currency, but recovery is already underway. I am confident that the situation will soon return to normal
Well im not saying that China do really hold up the entire influence on cryptoworld but they would really give an impact into the ecosystem but same as you said im not really worried too much on crashes knowing that prices would really normally healed up or recover after such dip.Looking now at the price of Bitcoin which is going back to reach 4700 again and other alts are on green now.
5283  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: September 07, 2017, 12:23:44 PM
i think it will better if we are save it and just hold our bitcoin rather than spend it because if we want to sell in high price then we need to waiting until the price is increase into the price we want. but if we are in emergency situations that we really need money then we can exchange our bitcoin and then we can use the money for what we need.
If you are really solely targeting on having just a savings for emergency purposes on bitcoin then its still a good choice but if we do have time or chance on making more bitcoins then we should do it.Saving it together with investing is really good combination which you can really extent on your savings and at the same time you are earning more knowing bitcoin do really increase its value as the years pass by.

5286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where are tokens stored ?Thread Closed on: September 06, 2017, 03:44:11 PM
Thank you for all your answers guys. I know its a noob question and its odd to ask such a question but the truth is that I never read about tokens.
Although I knew what it was and its fuctionality but i never knew where it were stored and accessed.

P.S : No more further answers are required.
Its okay brother since there are things which arent we didnt still know yet even if we are already quiet old in these field. We dont have general knowledge knowing all even on the slightest object on this forum or even on this cryptoworld. Glad that you did get your answer related to this. Good luck and we should still keep on learning new things on here. Grin
5287  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans too risky? on: September 06, 2017, 03:21:07 PM
I know that people give out loans but what's up with people no returning what they borrowed?? I want to know this because I might give out loans myself and I want to know what to watch out for... I have ~800 BTC at the moment and would it be a bad idea to start loaning? I bought my BTC back in 2010 mid August January(when it was about $0.07 per BTC) and I noticed the price went up a ton! Also what would be some other way to grow my BTC? Any ideas on what I should do?

Something I should have added my friend was doing something you guys call "mining" I am very knew to the bitcoin world even though I have had them for a long time. I bought these bitcoin from him because he needed to sell them, my financial advisor has told me that the longer I wait the more return I would get so I told him hold the account for 5 years and ill see where I am... So last July I had gotten my account back, did a bunch of research then found you guys. So I came here to post a few posts and for everyone skeptical this is the proof https://gyazo.com/ee99cef712e9b72f03a3e8e870c33624
Giving loans its always risky! But if you understand the risk, and have good model to choose to whom you can give loan, it must be more safety. And of course create a good agreement.
Agree, lending business is really a risky one but if you can able to handle or lessen the risk then it would really be a profitable business thinking off that you wont do nothing and let your money earn for you overtime but the hard part is on lending to someone which is deserving and responsible.Choosing them would really be a challenge which one should be granted this is why we should always assure ny collateral from them.
5288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where are tokens stored ? on: September 06, 2017, 01:17:29 PM
I have a doubt related to tokens. I understand that tokens are created based on Ethereum technology and others as well. Why do they ask for ethereum address when tokens are generated. Do they send tokens on our Ethereum address or is there some other logic behind this. Where are the tokens stored ?
Its understandable already and as a Sr. member its odd to ask such thing but i would answer you. Most projects as of now are using ETH-based platforms which they token would really be stored on eth wallets.Take a look on myetherwallet.com.. You can see there are lots of coins you can possible store there on a single wallet as long its ETH based then they will really ask your eth address.
5289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to start my first crypto trading? on: September 06, 2017, 10:52:24 AM
Hello
I want to start crypto trading but i don't know how to start trading.
Any expert crypto trader, please give me some tips and tricks about crypto trading.
And minimum how much amount need to start for crypto trading?
       thanks
I just want to say first on welcome to this trading on cryptoworld.I would like to say that theres no trick on making profitable trades which we would normally need skills and experience for us to be successful on this trade. All basic information about trading is already on the internet.First off if you do like to trade up then better to trade on demo or just start on a small amount trade some cheap coins either on yobit or on liqui.
5290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: September 05, 2017, 05:42:47 PM
Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
You can explaim bitcoin to children and teenager by sharing your own experience to them.By letting them know how bitcoin has changed your life and how bitcoin has given you so much money. How bitcoin has give you so much to spend.
Explaining to youth would really be good since it is a simple way on spreading the awareness of bitcoin existence but i would say it would be somehow hard to convince them or making those words you do say to them would be putted on to their young minds. Most of them would just neglect or reject it later on since their knowledge or interest would be still on doubt.
5291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: shapeshift.io is a scam on: September 05, 2017, 04:42:28 PM
aftee a few small shifts i decided to shift bitcoin to iconomi. 24h passed no funds or reply. i decided to check theyr forum and i saw im not the only one. lost over 1600$.
I dont have any problems when it comes on using shapeshift since i do seldom using it when i do need some ETH for some gas to make transactions.Have you tried out to contact their support?
I did notice that they are already getting some complaints regarding on pending transfers or funds didnt go through to their accounts.
5292  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is a whale? on: September 05, 2017, 04:14:06 PM
My own definition of a whale are the guys that I need to pump my altcoin to the moon. I can spot many of them in polo and bittrex.

Whale is not bumper who use to do it. Actually they will be people im adoption and technically strong in blockchain and crypto coding who do the basic coding.
Try to invest on bitcoin to become a whale to bump the bitcoin price value.
Your sentence is really confusing. We are talking on what is a whale. Bumper can still be considered as term on ability of them to pump prices and theres nothing to do with those coding stuffs that you do mention. Theres no connection on it.Investing on bitcoin on smaller amounts isnt considered as whale. If you do have thousand or hundreds of thousands then you can consider to call yourself a whale.
5293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does China have a large part in the world of cryptocurrency? on: September 05, 2017, 03:35:41 PM
A few days ago China just announced that their government banned all ICO activities, and instantly the bitcoin price went down. how do you think about this?

China is an obvious main player in crypto, with Bitmain having a basically mining monopoly and a ton of other miners ending up on China due the cheap electricity and cheap labour essentially.

This is nothing but more FUD and more insider trading. Look at the PBOC incidents last summer. They were able to dump the market, and the market recovered and we went to an ATH. This is the same all once again. Weak hands will get shaken, strong hands will hold, insider traders will get a ton of BTC from the panic sellers. The same cycle always repeats on all markets.
Thats how it works and you are definitely right on what you have said here on which strong hands will surely remain and buy all those golds which are scattered on the street being sold off buy those weak hands.I do remember on those PBOC event which it did really affect the price but in return we do reach a new ATH which we can really presumed as of now that it would happen again. China is really a big player on cryptoworld.
5294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Invest in Bitcoin right now? on: September 05, 2017, 02:22:45 PM
Hello!

Thanks for reading this topic.

I have some money at the bank which I actually don't need. The interest rate is a joke, so I'm looking for long term investment.
BTC price is kind of high right now if you look at the charts and history. But I read a lot of topics and it looks like this doesn't matter at all.

Let's say I want to buy like 2BTC. Do you advice to do it right now or wait till when?

Thanks!!!
You should take a chance from now on. Do not wait because I think that you will regret it later. Currently bitcoin prices are high but chances are that bitcoin prices will increase much higher in the future. Buy bitcoin and hold for a while, if the price is enough then you have the right to choose to sell it or wait again until the price increases higher. Do not let you regret and lose the opportunity to get many benefits.
Chances had already passed when the price is dipping on sub 4k price yesterday which you can able to make money if you do make short trading seeing on the price is on almost 4300 as of now thats already a $300 bucks profit in a matter of 24 hours which isnt really bad at all. Investing on bitcoin is always been wise either you would able to go shorting or even for long term.
5295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is your portfolio looking after this hit? on: September 05, 2017, 01:21:32 PM
Disclosure.  I am a 2 month newbie in cryptoworld.

In the short time, my investment tripled at one point (yep 200% gains)...now it is barely above where I started.  I know it will bounce back strong but still shocking to see all your gains (and hard work) "gone" in a few days.

How is yours???
Seeing on my portfolio? Then they are bloody red on which i did really lose big amounts of bucks but i didnt panic and just tending to HODL still.I know this is just a temporary dip and price would eventually goes up again after this News. This is the thing that traders or investors do experience on price fluctuations which is really normal into a unpredictable market.
5296  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: September 05, 2017, 11:01:01 AM
You should stop this because you are trading with emotions in fact you should think wisely. You have a choice to HODL if you will not gonna get a profit when you are trading. The way you trade is opposite of what you are doing, you should only buy at a low price and sell it when the price is high.
This is how trading works and this is just really a basic thing on which saying buying low selling high but the thing here is that it would really be difficult because its really hard to determine which is cheap and which is already a peak price. Stopping directly on trading isnt a wise thing instead on doing this better to think off carefully on what are your mistakes why you did commit such failure.

5299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does the name of a Cryptocurrency determine its growth ? on: August 31, 2017, 04:20:37 PM
When we watch out for cryptocurrencies ,we also check the uniqueness behind its name and logo possibly : ) at times and it now seems like it really truly does matter in the growth of the Cryptocurrency at times.

Brand is the first thing to jidge the campaign. It dictates first impression of investors. Imagine this. If you have a very excellent platform idea while your ANN title is shit, dick, dildo and so on. Do you think serious investors will waste time on clicking your thread and see what inside of it? I think this is not connected with growth but investors can determine already if the devs was serious and dedicated if they put effort on choosing name and logo.
This is true, branding and logo would really play a big role for a certain project to become successful and as you said no one would really click the link if investors or community would find out an ugly logo without having a good introduction or representation of the said project.First impression do last and when they lost their interest on the very first place then expect that project will surely fail.
5300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the most promising Casino coin? on: August 31, 2017, 03:08:53 PM
Look at bit dice. They've got working product and doing ICO to expand their business
3 months later this thread have been bumped and i just want to update that since Betking have failed their ICO then as the person above suggested ^ Bitdice would be the best contestant as of now. They do have ICO now and as far as i know they only need a little bit more support for the ico to be successful they are almost reaching their Cap.
