5441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex.com gona delist LTC !!! on: July 11, 2017, 01:12:16 PM
...

why do you want him to stop? this is the funniest account duo that i have seen in a long time. Cheesy
the "sorry me" topic is still in the first page and makes me laugh each time i visit this board. the desperate people are always funny, don't you think?
Even im a newbie, i do really laugh on this topic on which regarding on delisting ltc? Seriously?  I feel like this is just a clickbait. lol.  Wallet maintenance doesnt mean that poloniex would delist ltc. It wont happen for sure knowing that LTC is a good coin and its much better compared to those new comes in the market. What a dumb newbie do think on this kind of thing.
5442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to solve the ICO and shitcoins madness? on: July 11, 2017, 12:18:27 PM
I believe bitcointalk should also take a step forward and introduce some internal reviews and rankings before listing all of these coins and ICOs here. For example, everyone that wanted to post ANN, should first apply with their project and get audited by an internal team which would do at least basic checks and eliminate the obvious scammers.

It's almost impossible to keep up with all of the new posts like this.

Absolutely not.

In no way should bitcointalk limit free speech in that way.  It's a forum, not a gateway.

Correct, this is a forum and anyone could really freely post on what they do like. We cant do anything about those scammers and the best thing to do here we should really be careful on selecting or investing either on ICO or shitcoins. Anyone could announce their new coin and do crowdfunding and theres no way we cant stop them. Theres no solution on this one instead of gaining hatred better to ride with the flow just be sure to be wise enough.
5443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bowhead Health: Personalized Health Platform on: July 11, 2017, 10:13:22 AM
Congrat for successful Pre-ICO dev  Smiley How long the ICO will takes time? How much minimum amount crowdfunding target?

ICO will finish once it raises all the funds or till 31st August from 17th July.. However, now you can join in PRE-ICO.

Wow that will be a long run for the ico. Hope the funds or tokens will be sold out for just a short period of time.
Well, we never know what's next for this ico. It will indeed a successful one.
Thats for sure they will really sold out without even reaching out the said deadline. This is a unique plan which would really put interest on many investors then expected we would able to reach out the threshold in no time.
It will really be a successful one.
5444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Poll - What train to take before 1st August? on: July 11, 2017, 08:27:37 AM
Prices will be low before August 1st, but what to buy? Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin or other altcoin?
The answer is no one knows on which train we would jump in thats why i decide to buy coins a week after on that event. Checking now the status of bitcoin and other alts all of them are on red and seems like they are really preparing on upcoming August 1, Split or not  it will surely give impact on prices. For now we should wait until that day come and do witness some changes and be wise on when and where to jump.
5445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BILL GATES do not USE Bitcoin? on: July 10, 2017, 03:18:26 PM
I don't know but when it comes to investment the billionaire that will always come up in mind is Warren Buffet in which is known for investment techniques in a variety of way from stocks to real estate he knows it all. Right now I don't see any news of Warren Buffet related to Bitcoin, or at least him voicing out his idea on it. Bill Gates on the other hand is totally invested in his company which is Microsoft in which he is currently focus on getting some market share away from Apple's Mac for his Surface Book Laptops.
In short they arent have any interest on diving in on bitcoin and how the heck they would like to join in since they do have lots of money considering on their overall assets? I cant think that they would still able to join in though. It would be a good thing but their interest is on something else and also even Bill gates wont join in bitcoin doesnt matter at all since he do have the money can sustain his own entire life without the need on other investments.

5447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Buying alt coins using BTC on: July 10, 2017, 01:01:37 PM
I've been looking to buy waves with BTC but all the websites i've found so far have mixed reviews so i'm not sure if i should use them..
Please let me know what website you use for buying and selling altcoins
Only two sites that i can recommend which is poloniex and bittrex when you are planning to buy waves since those sites are reputable and well established and there are lots of traders do entrust that sites. Just choose on which platform you would suit or you are comfortable with.I have tried on buying waves on poloniex and it goes well without any problems encountered.
5448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC to 0.028 BTC $50 Final squeeze 6000 BTC Bull run on: July 10, 2017, 10:30:01 AM
Since Charlie lee left coinbase and working full time with LTC, they have very promising updates INC. And I believe this will be the road to the top. I believe LTC has all aspect that is missing and can complete BTC. Also LTC will take over ETH second place, this coin is really undervalued and believe my guys buy buy buy and hold hold hold.

How can you be so sure about that speculation? LTC might really increase but it wont really surpass bitcoin anytime soon. It may go to moon and its really a great thing. I agree that this coin is undervalued and i see this would be the time to make some move. Lucky for those who bought on bargain prices if LTC would really cliimb up to its new ATH. Buying now isnt too late since its still affordable but remember to invest the amount you can afford to lose up.
5449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin pump & dump group on: July 09, 2017, 11:03:09 AM
Contact Bob
bobsurplus the most famous pump and dumper, coinflipper on twitter. Makes me feel old being only one in this thread knowing who you are talking about

Problem with pump and dump groups is eventually greed takes over and the guy at the top will get everyone's money. You have to completely trust everyone in the group especially the guy calling the shots. You guys might make some money but you'll lose it all back to the guy calling the shots...

yes you are correct but in the crypto world there is more pump and dump groups if we do not engage with them we can be looser too
Isnt really mandatory to join up those groups because we can always trade on our own without relying signals from those pump and dump groups. As been said above the guy whos on the top will mostly take out all of the money from those people who did join last and also you wont know if that coins is being pumped already and they are just waiting for you to come it and decide to dump. I really not prefer to join on this kind of groups i would rather trade on my own and learn over time on doing trading.
5450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SC coin keep dumping - :( on: July 09, 2017, 09:52:15 AM
The problem is the coins all pumped more than 10x = 1000%. So now it is just normal that they cool down a bit.
If all altcoins price up because of hype then its expected for a price correction which is already happening now which we can see that most alts as of now are on reds and talking about SC. It gradually going down to the bottom and if you bought it when the price is still high then you will feel the panic on which you would really like to cut losses while the price is continuing to dump but if you do have trust on this coin then you should HODL as long as you can.
5451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bowhead Health: Personalized Health Platform on: July 09, 2017, 07:58:28 AM

We have sold already more than 50% of presale tokens!

Wow good news indeed! Still, there is time  to invest. Hope this project will become a leader in its field utilizing the blockchain technology in medical application.
Theres a potential since ive seen this as a unique project which do utilize on medical application which you cant find on any in the market. I will surely progress as the time goes by and ICO would really be succesful. Checking on the progress its really doing a great job.
5452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: August 1 needs to be today... on: July 09, 2017, 07:06:20 AM
It's not good, it seems some people are switching to Litecoin for retail payments, I like BTC a lot but I don't like the way this coin is treated... it's like it's left alone doing nothing about it and meanwhile lots of altcoins are trying to take over... BTC looks like a fat coin barely moving right now folks while whales are taking as much as they can on its back, it needs to be light and have speed... if something doesn't change after August 1 will probably consider other options as well, I've believed too much in one coin and missed others on the road
Taking over above bitcoin is always been a plan of a certain altcoin in the market and how can you say that they are gradually switching on another coin? Price of bitcoin is still stabilizing as of now between these ranges that we observed on 2-3 weeks time. Theres no sign of dump or pump as of now but im quiet excited on the upcoming august 1 event because i do really want on how bitcoin price would react to it.
5453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: July 08, 2017, 02:06:43 PM
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.
In any investment theres always risk involve which we would really experience loss if bitcoin would drop in a matter of time and we know theres no guarantee here on cryptoworld which anything could happen in an instant thats why if that 3-4 btc plan you do have you should tell yourself that you would able to afford to lose it when unexpected things happen on bitcoin its always been part of an investment.
5454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 08, 2017, 01:08:32 PM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.
The best thing to do is to wait after that August 1 meeting since we wont know on what would happen on that particular event which means if we patiently do observe after that event then we can get the idea on when to enter. Prices might be affected or not on that day or shall we say within 1 week span after that meeting. Its not too late too buy better better to wait a little bit more.
5455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does an airdropped coin get's its value? on: July 08, 2017, 12:46:22 PM
I am just curious, how an airdropped coin actually gets it's value. ICO's in contrast are packed by ETH or BTC, but an airdropped coin - out of the sky - doesn't have any value at first.

What if i.e. an airline would airdrop frequent flyer miles, then they would also have to pack it by something - in their case the promise to get a free flight. But since the airline didn't get / didn't sell anything in the first place (nor did they opt in for an ICO in that example) and actually handed out those miles for free via an air drop event, it would lose out when all people then would try to redeem their free airdropped miles.

So how would an airdrop then work in that case? How does it have to be structured that it's a win win situation for both parties involved.
Airdrop is just an another way on distributing supply of a certain coin which the things you are saying here doesnt really make any connections regarding on that backed system. This thing do happen specially on bounty programs and the value is the same when you get on joining ICO or even simply buying eth. You are still getting the same coin with the same value as simple as that.
5456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Reason behind this dip? on: July 07, 2017, 03:54:27 PM
They are all somewhat tied to bitoin, and we are probably gonna be in a bear market for some weeks, could be more..
Yes it is somehow tied up to bitcoin but not all the times since we can also see bitcoin in red while alts are on reds to which usually mean that we are on bearish market which i can say its really a normal thing to happen and indicates also that we do have a healthy market among those coins because there are activities do happen on them.
5457  Economy / Economics / Re: Probability of Bitcoin split on: July 07, 2017, 03:23:58 PM
Hi, in your opinion what's the probability of Bitcoin's split (e.g. 1:100 bitcoins, so if you have one bitcoin you'll have 100, but the price will be 100 times smaller - about $2.6)?

I think this will greatly improve Bitcoin growth because it's more complicated to surge from $2600 to $10000 than from $2.6 to $10

Depends how you treat.
You can use mBTC as your unit to send/receive Bitcoin and your problem is solved.
I ain't able to understand your concern. BTC is just unit of Bitcoin. Suppose Lisk is $2.25 per LSK at present. I may use word GLSK for 1000 Lisk so if I got 2000 Lisk, I may recognize it as 2k LSK or 2 GLSK. it won't affect price at all.
Why would people do think that bitcoin do need a split? since we can able to read it with the terms of mbtc and as many others said here the probability and in need of split is really on slim chance but well we cant tell what would happen on next month event if there would be a split or not and those calculations that are made on the op isnt too unrealistic to consider.
5458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 07, 2017, 01:53:29 PM
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
Yes altcoin do have a future just like what bitcoin did when it was just starting and now reaching up its development which we can say its a success and now there are lots of altcoin in the market do longing for the same reasons on which do make innovation and there are lots of coins too that do have a feature which you cant see on bitcoin and there are still people do see its usage and potential thats why its being adopted also and seeing their value is increasing too.
5459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: July 07, 2017, 01:06:06 PM
We cant compare gold to bitcoin since they are different since bitcoin is a virtual currency and gold is a mineral which means they differ on appearance at all but talking about the value i can say that bitcoin already surpasses golds value correct me if im wrong but talking about stability i can say that gold has an advantage compared to bitcoin but these two things would really be a good investment for longterm specially on gold.
5460  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: July 06, 2017, 03:26:15 PM
If you are in need of money to do something big, spend 1 bitcoin and save the other 1. If you don't need money, save your bitcoin and wait for the bitcoin price to grow. If it grows, you will have lots of money in your hands, if it decreases, you will have nothing to lose (if you do not spend your bitcoin). But either way, save as much as you can before you regret it because I believe that the bitcoin price will increase in the near future and good luck.
If you are in need of money then its not bad to use up your bitcoin since its really a good source of back up funds when you are in need of money but if you do have a fiat money on your own pocket then its ideal to save those bitcoins rather than spending it since we do know prices do might increase in near future and we will surely make use of that later on but for now i dont have much bitcoin on reality thats why i do try my best to accumulate as much as i can.
