5461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: July 08, 2017, 02:06:43 PM
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.
In any investment theres always risk involve which we would really experience loss if bitcoin would drop in a matter of time and we know theres no guarantee here on cryptoworld which anything could happen in an instant thats why if that 3-4 btc plan you do have you should tell yourself that you would able to afford to lose it when unexpected things happen on bitcoin its always been part of an investment.
5462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 08, 2017, 01:08:32 PM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.
The best thing to do is to wait after that August 1 meeting since we wont know on what would happen on that particular event which means if we patiently do observe after that event then we can get the idea on when to enter. Prices might be affected or not on that day or shall we say within 1 week span after that meeting. Its not too late too buy better better to wait a little bit more.
5463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does an airdropped coin get's its value? on: July 08, 2017, 12:46:22 PM
I am just curious, how an airdropped coin actually gets it's value. ICO's in contrast are packed by ETH or BTC, but an airdropped coin - out of the sky - doesn't have any value at first.

What if i.e. an airline would airdrop frequent flyer miles, then they would also have to pack it by something - in their case the promise to get a free flight. But since the airline didn't get / didn't sell anything in the first place (nor did they opt in for an ICO in that example) and actually handed out those miles for free via an air drop event, it would lose out when all people then would try to redeem their free airdropped miles.

So how would an airdrop then work in that case? How does it have to be structured that it's a win win situation for both parties involved.
Airdrop is just an another way on distributing supply of a certain coin which the things you are saying here doesnt really make any connections regarding on that backed system. This thing do happen specially on bounty programs and the value is the same when you get on joining ICO or even simply buying eth. You are still getting the same coin with the same value as simple as that.
5464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Reason behind this dip? on: July 07, 2017, 03:54:27 PM
They are all somewhat tied to bitoin, and we are probably gonna be in a bear market for some weeks, could be more..
Yes it is somehow tied up to bitcoin but not all the times since we can also see bitcoin in red while alts are on reds to which usually mean that we are on bearish market which i can say its really a normal thing to happen and indicates also that we do have a healthy market among those coins because there are activities do happen on them.
5465  Economy / Economics / Re: Probability of Bitcoin split on: July 07, 2017, 03:23:58 PM
Hi, in your opinion what's the probability of Bitcoin's split (e.g. 1:100 bitcoins, so if you have one bitcoin you'll have 100, but the price will be 100 times smaller - about $2.6)?

I think this will greatly improve Bitcoin growth because it's more complicated to surge from $2600 to $10000 than from $2.6 to $10

Depends how you treat.
You can use mBTC as your unit to send/receive Bitcoin and your problem is solved.
I ain't able to understand your concern. BTC is just unit of Bitcoin. Suppose Lisk is $2.25 per LSK at present. I may use word GLSK for 1000 Lisk so if I got 2000 Lisk, I may recognize it as 2k LSK or 2 GLSK. it won't affect price at all.
Why would people do think that bitcoin do need a split? since we can able to read it with the terms of mbtc and as many others said here the probability and in need of split is really on slim chance but well we cant tell what would happen on next month event if there would be a split or not and those calculations that are made on the op isnt too unrealistic to consider.
5466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 07, 2017, 01:53:29 PM
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
Yes altcoin do have a future just like what bitcoin did when it was just starting and now reaching up its development which we can say its a success and now there are lots of altcoin in the market do longing for the same reasons on which do make innovation and there are lots of coins too that do have a feature which you cant see on bitcoin and there are still people do see its usage and potential thats why its being adopted also and seeing their value is increasing too.
5467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: July 07, 2017, 01:06:06 PM
We cant compare gold to bitcoin since they are different since bitcoin is a virtual currency and gold is a mineral which means they differ on appearance at all but talking about the value i can say that bitcoin already surpasses golds value correct me if im wrong but talking about stability i can say that gold has an advantage compared to bitcoin but these two things would really be a good investment for longterm specially on gold.
5468  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: July 06, 2017, 03:26:15 PM
If you are in need of money to do something big, spend 1 bitcoin and save the other 1. If you don't need money, save your bitcoin and wait for the bitcoin price to grow. If it grows, you will have lots of money in your hands, if it decreases, you will have nothing to lose (if you do not spend your bitcoin). But either way, save as much as you can before you regret it because I believe that the bitcoin price will increase in the near future and good luck.
If you are in need of money then its not bad to use up your bitcoin since its really a good source of back up funds when you are in need of money but if you do have a fiat money on your own pocket then its ideal to save those bitcoins rather than spending it since we do know prices do might increase in near future and we will surely make use of that later on but for now i dont have much bitcoin on reality thats why i do try my best to accumulate as much as i can.
5469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 06, 2017, 02:41:35 PM
Some of altcoins really have future, it is all about community and acceptance.
Ethereum shows us how altcoins can create lot of new businesses and projects. who knows?
It does really have future and yes it depends on community acceptance just like on ETH which it already have developments and it gradually been accepted and potential projects which is related in that platform which means it progresses and it caught communities attention thats why value do go up because theres a demand its simple as that simple eeconomic subject.
5470  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Gain knowledge from basic with me on: July 06, 2017, 10:55:12 AM
Your proposal is not bad but it will be hard for someone to give their time sharing information and knowledge about crypto-market as they can gather some by reading articles or some knowledgeable post within this forum, maybe it can take interest if you include things that they can get by cooperating with you.

It will be a waste of time seeking someone to exchange information with you, for me it will be better if you study everything from scratch by reading lots of articles, even if it sometimes not what you needed it will somehow help you as soon as you enter crypto-market.
Not only that, it would be senseless because no one would able to waste off his time on assisting someone without getting something which is money and instead on seeking someone better to read up things related to it, Google is your friend specially this forum too. There are lots of valuable things that you can able to learn up from here, just like me i do gradually learn up new things everyday.
5471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes e some ICOs so SUCCESSFUL? on: July 06, 2017, 10:12:12 AM
It depends on the details and information of their whitepaper. So they need to developed their blockchain project very well to become successful which will make investors to have an interest on it then make invest on it.
This
Not only on whitepaper but also on its developers because people do mainly seek the transparency on which really do indicates that it is a serious project not compared on shady and unknown developers because we can really somehow assured that this coin wont die easily like on most shitcoins in the market. Investing on Ico would really be profitable but depending on where did you put your money.
5472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Good Reason to Own Some BTC on: July 06, 2017, 09:00:27 AM
...

If you are traveling and lose your credit card, but in a country that has a reasonably active Bitcoin scene, you can sell some BTC to pay bills while "over there".

This may become an issue for us.

Here is a case for having an online wallet, "travels anywhere".
This is really an advantage when bitcoin is already been accepted mostly on many countries which we dont really have a problem when we do travel even though we dont have cash on our pockets as long we do have our online wallet or any other wallet that do contain bitcoin would already do since we can cash-out anytime and anywhere we want.
5473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: VERGE: is it ready to fly? on: July 05, 2017, 05:45:02 PM
Hello guys,

Finaly, after a long period of highs, we are now at lows!

ETH is going down a bit, many alt-coins are going back to the real value.

I saw DGB crash from 2350st to 650st, I saw XRP from 22000st to 9000st, I saw STR from 3000 to 1000st etc..

In this scenario some crypto per time are going against trend taking a +10% or +100%, it depend...

Today we are still at lows, but I saw XVG from yesterday is taking +10% per day against Bitcoin.

I think now is the time for Verge to take the fly definitly and go around 300-500st in the next days.

Is it the time for XVG? is it taking this skyrocket?
I do have some XVG and i would really like to know the potential movement ahead same as you said it do gain some percentage but we cant still be sure if it would skyrocket later on. Altcoins are on reds now and its possible that it would dump its price together with other coins.
5474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China is going to legalize Ethereum soon. on: July 05, 2017, 04:29:55 PM
Chinese government decided to legalize ethereum in their country soon, On May 27, Huobi, one of the three leading bitcoin exchanges in China alongside BTCC and OKCoin, officially integrated support for Ethereum trading. The Huobi development team announced that users will be able to trade Ethereum starting from  May 31.
Do you think that ehtereum will cross bitcoin soon??

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/china-waking-ethereum/

What a great news for those People who holds Etherium, I was surprised that China do legalize ETH than Bitcoin and its really a good innovation and we should really expect price increase on ETH when this even would happen. ETH can really possible cross bitcoin but it would really takes time. People do think of on competition between this two coins but i would say it isnt needed and we should be glad since we do really have some options.
5475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling affected your life in a good way? on: July 05, 2017, 03:29:01 PM
Nope it doesnt give any good effect on my own life instead of good it do give some bad effects not only on money loss but also on emotion aspect it really give me frustrations and anger when i do lose thats why i do already limit myself on playing much again on gambling.I do still have some time to engage with it but not in much already compared on the past since i do know the consequences behind it.
5476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are best sources to learn trading on: July 04, 2017, 06:05:34 PM
I feel like i miss the boat or missing the even bigger one.  Huh As i want to develop new skills on trading i would like to know more about trader sources. What sites they use or which news sources they follow. And is there any book e-book you can advice? Thank you all answers!
Google is your friend pal and all the things you do ask is available on google just type on the search bar and you will find lots of stuffs related to your question. Trading cant be learn over time and it takes time thats why we should really be serious on learning it if we do really want to become a professional trader someday even myself striving hard to learn up trading no matter what.
5477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 04, 2017, 04:00:42 PM
what do you think about this topic?

You would be getting instant rich when you are one of the earliest adopters of bitcoin on which you will eventually become millionaire seeing on the current price of bitcoin but if we are talking about the current state of earning bitcoin its possible but depending on how much you are earning as of now on bitcoin world. Trading can possibly give you this but on slim chances depending on the coin you are trading to.
5478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be Careful With Pumping Groups on: July 03, 2017, 02:16:45 PM
I too am not really into pumping groups, I experienced the same thing as the OP did when one of the group creator said a certain coin will pump within the week so I believed him and placed some of my savings on that coin only to realize a week after it never pumped and in fact dump. That was a lesson I've learned though.
They have tricked you, some people will be very interested in the pump group, they imagine will benefit greatly. Trade is not luck or always instant. Trade is our analysis of experience.
Sorry i'm newbie in trading, are all the pumping groups frauds? Whether trading with experience and anlisis can suffer big losses? If so what will you do? thanks Irwanjabryg
You just can learning after loss, not have trader on the world's can sure they have 100% ratio winning when trading, but different between newbie in trading and people have more years experience trading is stop-loss. Good trader can set minimium loss maybe 1% / order, and they can take profit with 5-10% or 20%/order. With newbie, when loss will all or more than 50% because they not know stop-loss when wrong
Stop loss would really be hard on most newbies even they didnt even know what is that stop loss thing on doing trading. As a trader you would really set stop loss incase the price wont go as you planned but you do make this decision to earn something more percentage than on the set stop loss. About on OP pumping groups might be true or just a fake one you wont know if they just want for you to buy a certain coin so that they would able to sell and secure profits.
5479  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: July 03, 2017, 01:49:23 PM
Which one suits you the most?
I do make use of online wallets since its fast to use and theres nothing to download too big like on physical wallets or cold storages i know the risk on losing money on web wallets but its just okay for me since i do only store small amounts of bitcoin which i can afford to lose anytime depending on the circumtances might happen ahead. If you do have huge amounts of bitcoin then paper wallet and cold wallet would be always suggested.
5480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Zcash? on: July 01, 2017, 08:28:48 AM
I wouldn't rely on it for privacy. And then there's the 20% founders reward. And then there's the Trusted Setup. And then there's the company.

All of this is anti-crypto. That's why the price tanked and why no serious investors will touch it.

     Smiley

+1

I still do not understand why people invest into zcash bullshit.

It is because the ZCash price is low.
Ive thought this coin wouldnt last because of that founders reward and it ridiculous they do still love to invest on zcash because theres still movements and potential that can able to make them money. When you do mine zcash it wouldnt really be worth at all.Just put up money that you can afford to lose though.

I agree with that. With the foundation reward, developers will work harder.

That could be the reason the ZEC is the highest of all the altcoins.
