5301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dividing your salary. on: August 27, 2017, 08:14:00 AM
Hello, as we all know that Bitcoin is heading straight to the moon. Me, as an employee, do also invest with this cryptocurrency, and I kinda need to divide all of my salary for my needs, and on how much should I invest in? Let's talk about percentage. Anyone?
Which all most people say here that this would really depend on how much your salary is and if its sufficient enough to put still on bitcoin but before thinking of on that investment you should really prioritize first all the obligations and the things you should need to be saved and the excess amount on that division would be serve or to be putted on investment but this would really totally depending on you if you are willing to put and trust on bitcoin investment.
5302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most Successful ICOs? on: August 25, 2017, 08:47:20 AM
Hey there,

what are the most successfull ICOs in your opinion? How do you measure it? Are there any websites measuring all previous ICOs?

Thank you very much
There are lots to mention on which there are ICOs which are being succesful and sold out in just a matter of hours or days. Not talking back on common ICOs. I would like to say about Adex and on the recent ICO which is on Hive. I can consider it that its included on most successful ico considering on the cap that they set which seems very very high but still it was still sold out which i cant believe that there are still lots of investors inspite of my icos is popping out now.
5303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: August 24, 2017, 02:42:55 PM
Trading is a game for the "patient hearted", patience is an essential virtue for trading.
And more so before buying any Altcoin Check very to ensure you're not buying a coin that is on PUMP.
Buying a coin on pump, you have signed up.to be 'Burned'.
Learn to buy low and hold over a period of time it can be for months as the case may be.

Lol that's exactly what i was doing the first time inwas trying to trade. Buying while a coin is on pump. Also believing on trolls in the troll box. Save yourself from stress and anxiety. Its true that patience is probably the most important aspect when you trade and that is developed by practice and experience
I have commited the same mistakes too when i was still a newbie on trading world on which i did buy always on a pump and selling it on a dump which is really frustrating but having this mistakes would really serve as a learning thing for you on which you would able to realize later on that we should not do the same mistakes back in the past which is really a good thing for us to accept mistakes and learn from it.
5304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red flags for me not to invest into ICO on: August 24, 2017, 10:31:55 AM
1) Does it solve a REAL problem/need
2) Is a token/blockchain, as applied, the best or at least novel solution to #1
3) Is this a new approach not already being serviced by another (well developed) coin or token
4) Is the team communicative and do they appear/have credentials that they can deliver #1
4a) IF the team is anonymous there MUST be a clear reason to do so (anonymity driven coins, etc...)
4b) Do team members have other project commitments past/current/future in crypto (use as a measuring stick)
5) Is the sale being conducted transparently, ideally with escrow if applicable (not through a smart contract)

If it passes 1-5 THEN it's worth EVALUATING deeply as a posdible investment.  Many, if not most, ICOs I fear will become vaporware and crash, likely devaluating the crypto-sphere as a whole over time due to so many people wanting to get rich quick.

Caveat Emptor

Agree. I value the active developer updating always the community or investor. Also I do check the people behind the project and the industry they belong. Also the projects application in real life solution is a must, I mean its uses to community.
Real life users would really be the main thing for me and an active developer or owner would comes next on which it actively updates regarding on the project and updates the investor of it which i can see that this is the main thing i do seek when i tend to put up money. If these things are absent then i would really pass up on this and going back on seeking on another project.
5305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MASS Smart phones on: August 23, 2017, 01:46:49 PM
Hey guys and Gals.

This is my first post here (Long Time Lurker tho)

I just ran into a MASSIVE MASSIVE LOT of Smart phones of all types. S5's, S6's, S7's, Iphone 5,6,7 etc.

As a dropshipper / Wholesaler this is not uncommon BUT as a miner I wonder if there is something I can do with THIS many phones??

1. Which ALT would you all suggest?

2. Is it even worth it?

3. what is the current profit you guess on the ALT you choose?

Thanks in advance, figured I'd come to the experts rather then guess or google it, mixed crap when you do that.

As far as i remember you can able to mine on using minergate thru mobile but i would say you would really bust all those phones you do have and if you would able to  mine it wont really be worth it at all and instead of thinking of this thing better to resell those phones you do have and buy some GPU or even buy an Asic miner for mining bitcoin. Since you are talking on altcoin then GPU would be suggested.
5306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are best sources to learn trading on: August 23, 2017, 11:22:42 AM
Just staying and reading the threads here in the forum is already one of the best sources in learning how to trade. If you could just explore the whole forum you will learn and you can apply it when you venture in trading. Just like me i had learned a lot here in bitcointalk about trading the do's and the dont's just keep on exploring.

I agree. This forum is the best source in trading because you can read here the actual experience of some traders, advises and their strategies. But even if you will read or watch tons of information about trading still the best teacher would be experience. You can start by trading small amount and if you can already determine what suits you then you can trade higher amount. Trading is not just about buying low and selling high because there are times when you have to give up or sell low in order to have bigger profit in other pairs and emotions play a big role so make sure you can manage it and not a hindrance when you trade.
Yeah you have a good point. This forum is one of the best way to learn how to trade. There are many topics here in forum that has realated to trading. I prefer to you to read everyday about trading. I can say that you can become a good trader by reading many post in this forum.
Agree! I learned cryptocurrency trading through this forum and even meet pro trader here. When I was starting I just keep reading topics about trading from here and if there are things that I don't understand then I use Google to help me also, there are a lot of materials from the internet that can help us in learning trading its up to us to use them or not.
All things or can be found on internet itself. The thing we cant find is that on others experiences and trading ways because we would eventually get more idea on them too on which we cant really find on the net.You can actually learn-up yourself along the way and later on we would really be molded up to be a better trader. Have patience and hard work would really pay you out later on.
5307  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible for the bitcoin to lose it's value ? on: August 23, 2017, 10:28:01 AM
Hi , I'm new so basically I still have a lot to learn about the cryptocurrency , but I would like to know if it would be possible for the bitcoin to start the downfall ? I mean like what scenario can happen that the bitcoin would be pushed back like 5-6 years ?
Sorry if my post is in the wrong place or it's not relevant.

Everything is possible nowadays, Now regarding to your question that is possible, if all bitcoin users and bitcoin community will no longer use bitcoin. For sure bitcoin value's will fall and drop into zero. But, for what is happening now I think bitcoin awill not go to that scenario instead, it will go up more and more until it reach 10,000$ this year.
If we do assume on the worst cases on what would happen to bitcoin then its really possible since nothing on this world would really remain its spot and all do have its end and if there are not users of bitcoin price would really fall to zero and im sure there would be new coins that which do people do engage with. This is the risk on engaging on cryptos but as of now we should cherish or be wise to go with the flow in order to make money with it.
5308  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversifying? on: August 22, 2017, 01:59:30 PM
I bought my bitcoin a few years ago now. I was and am a believer, but the massive price increase has me worried that I am now overly invested in bitcoin.

It looks like I have 75% of my money in Bitcoin. Obviously it wasn't always like that, and it with the price rising so much recently, I find myself with a fair amount of money available for the first time in my life!
I know that Bitcointalk probably isn't the best place to ask this, but would you recommend diversifying and if so, in to what?

I was very happy when the price was $1000, but now it feels like I have enough that I could buy a flat or something. It used to be a speculative thing for me, I had invested what I could afford to lose, but now the price has risen so much that it could be easy come easy go, and the price falls back down to where it was last year.

This was really an inspiring story for someone who did invest 75% of his money into bitcoin and not only that he did bought on cheaper prices. This question would really depend on whats on your mind and just follow on the things on what you mind and heart do tell you.You can actually cashout those money you piled up and cherish the profits that you waited for long but i bet you wont really do such thing. In this case if you are asking if its good to diversify then we all know here that diversifying is always be a good step for us too make because we do add up our options or back up plans if one would fail.
5309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many ICO announces on: August 22, 2017, 11:35:10 AM
I have that whole section on ignore.  Unnecessary coin announcement threads filled with posts asking to do translations, asking about social media campaigns, giving false praise, etc.  It's a shit fest.  Who needs that clogging up your feed?  That's the only way I know of to "sort" it.
Agree, this is the only way to get rid of those threads if youd like too but would really time consuming for you if you do it manually considering there are lots of Announcement threads. If you dont like to be hassled then dont bother to those things and just let them on that way.
5310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dividing your salary. on: August 22, 2017, 10:51:48 AM
This is only an advice, but it is still up to you to decide for your own good. As what the situation goes, if you had some spare amount of money in your pocket or wherever it is, you can decide to put it up to bitcoin as your personal savings, or maybe you can choose to invest some amount when you are ready. Anyway investing in bitcoin is not an order to obey, or you are forced to do the move.

This is a matter of financial management if I am not mistaken. Investing to bitcoin is not forcing you to do it, or a kind of rules for you to apply it. This is depend on you, if you are decide to buy bitcoin make some percentage to your budget capital to buy some bitcoins. Of course you must do your priorities before investing to bitcoin.
Priorities would really comes first no matter what and investing on bitcoin is an another option to diversify the possible income that you would able to generate and as being said it would depend on you on what percentage on your salary would you decide to put up on to bitcoin but always remember that in bitcoin theres no assurance that it would last forever so that you wont able to regret later on.
5311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next week, is that the last chance? on: August 21, 2017, 12:45:52 PM
People are wondering, the last week of July is the deciding whether you want to make a big profit, or you'll just miss it. For myself, I intend to sell some of my cryptoss, and hope to get a good entry point, but on the other hand I feel that last week's downtrend is the last one of this month, what do you think?
You are now on big profits for sure and your hopes do come true since its really the last low price on bitcoin.$1800 is the sweetest part and i do hope you do enter on that point or even higher. considering on the current price of bitcoin we are almost reaching out on $4500 price which is already a sweet spot to sell out the coins you have bought before on the august 1 fork event.
5312  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin break $4500 this week? on: August 21, 2017, 11:08:42 AM
Last week bitcoin try to break $4500 about three times but to no avail! I think  above $4500 is possible before the end August as the momentum is very high and bitcoin Cash has rise significant for the past two day to close at $870 yesterday, I think very soon bitcoin Cash traders will start to take profit and fund will flow back to bitcoin.
Thats how it works on which people are just milking up BCC just to go back again on Bitcoin. We do really have a strong resistance on 4500 range which we didnt able to break it and proceed or shoot up the price on 5000 but as being said we would really get that momentum again on this upcoming months to come and im sure on this year we would really break that resistance that bitcoin didnt even break on previous weeks.
5313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your biggest altcoin regret? on: August 21, 2017, 09:55:19 AM
I had 21 ETH that I had bought when it was about $7. When the price went up to $50 and held there for a while I doubted it would surge much more so I sold all 21. If only I had known the value of HODL...

I also had a ton of $4 LTC at one time and shifted it all back into BTC because I didn't think it would ever go over $5.

I know these aren't "Bitcoin Pizza" size mistakes, but it still sucks looking back. That's a few extra grand I could have had to gamble away on Bittrex Wink
These kind of mistakes are common on most traders which we would able to sell out a particular coin on a certain price because we do believe that its already the peak price of it without knowing that it would still pump or increase even further on a matter of time.Yes this kind of situation would really make regrets if we tend to look it back this is why its not really good to see those mistakes and rather just do the right thing already for the 2nd time now.
5314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BCH threat to BTC? on: August 20, 2017, 09:42:20 AM
After 1st aug BCH value getting down as it was expected and 2 days ago it was about 0.07btc/bch. It was also expected that it would be more down after 14th Aug as poloniex credited bch to their customer that day and was expected that it will me dumped.  But now it is surprising last two days .It price rise up nearly 0.2btc/bch. Is it threat to BTC market??
Its not actually a threat and that kind of price increase is just really a normal thinking back in the past when bch do exist on the market its price rose up on 1k usd and suddenly crash back again on 200 usd which means there still hype and somehow a manipulation on its price which we cant really consider for this coin to be a thread on Bitcoin itself. Original would still remain as original.

bcash is a threat because it uses the same miners as bitcoin with lower difficulty due to faster adjustments. its a threat because currently it is 125% more profitable to mine on bcash than btc. if miners jump ship for more profit btc blocks will slow and people will jump ship also.

bcash is VERY much a threat.

if bcash dont drop in value soon there will be dark days ahead for btc and crypto.
Well its your own view and i do respect that, you do have some points but its hard to believe that miners will jump directly on bcash.Maybe they will do such thing but for the sake on making money not for its development or support.Bitcoin will stand strong no matter what and i dont think also that community will replace Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash but well who knows what would actually happen on next years to come.

5316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Altcoin on: August 20, 2017, 04:59:12 AM
What is the common difference between bitcoin and altcoin ?
Common difference? Well the thing comes to my mind is their value. They do really differ on that way and 2nd is that Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and all coins after it is just an altcoin. Even though there are lots of altcoin in the market we can still see potential coins which would possibly surpass bitcoins value on upcoming years but well this would depend if community would adopt it or decide to switch back.
5317  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: August 16, 2017, 03:02:32 PM
What if somebody will make a huge dump and sell it all the way to earn some profits because of this rally in bitcoin, and someone sees it and do that same thing. Is there any effect on bitcoin when someone to this,?
Yes it will have an effect to Bitcoin but for sure, it will only be temporary. Negatively, the price of Bitcoin will decrease if it will happen, and if many people will do the same thing. But it won't be permanent. There are more people who invests in Bitcoin and surely, they'll maje a move to stop the problem.
The cycle would just continue as it was on which if the price dumps those people who earn profits on selling their coins are buying back and at the same time those people who are holding they will surely buy cheaper coins on which it would make the price again to rise up as simple as that. Panic selling would only happen if theres fuds or news related to bitcoin on which weak hands would really be affected and would definitely sold up their coins in no time.
5318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: August 16, 2017, 01:06:32 PM
Yes, Invest in ETH and get scammed!

Ethereum, a coin that had a 72,000,000 ponzi premine, was founded by US citizens whom formed 'Ethereum Foundation', a swiss corporation, for tax evasion purposes; a platform that launches hundreds of scam ICOs' on its chain (that the SEC has declared illegal), a blockchain that crashes daily on said ICO launches (because it is not a supercomputer), has been hacked 2x (at least), hasn't lauched a single 'dapp' speculated in its whitepaper, has a blockchain larger than bitcoins (which means downloading a wallet or running a node is practically impossible), and after the DAO hack has hardforked into 2 chains against the communities interest?

Buy more!

So much FUD in one post... omg

There are people with some legitimate claims and concerns about ETH. But you just want to scare away people to delve deeper in the discussion and make up their own mind.
SEC declared ICO's illegal? lol
Blockchain crashes daily? lol
Hacked twice (at least)? lol
Hardfork against community wishes? lol

Dude, these posts make me want to defend ETH. Anyone who is neutral and digs deeper into your statements will come to the same conclusion.

Seriously if anyone digs his statement in depth, they must come to the same conclusion. I don't have more knowledge about this altcoin like you, but I have few coins in my wallet. I am saving that coin for future use, but now your statement is making me to confuse what I have to do next.
Dont be confused and do on the things that you saw was right. Hearing others informations arent bad but if it would be the cause of such confusion then better stick on the old days and let those hopes and beliefs would do the rest.I have read and heard this kind of informations. True or not i would still engage to ETH no matter what specially now on where its price is way too cheaper compared on previous month or weeks which i see this would be a sweet spot on buying cheaper ETH.
5319  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make money only with BTC on: August 15, 2017, 10:30:46 AM
I hear many saying they don't mess with altcoins...how do you make money with btc?

Just buy the dips, sell for usd (or other fiat), then buy back in...rinse and repeat?

I'm not talking about long term holding but about how to build up your bitcoin without touching alts.

Thanks

On the way that you have mentioned its just the basic thing on doing make short tradings on bitcoin which you can actually make more bitcoin on that case but still depending on how you gonna make trades.Actually there are lots of ways on how to earn BTC either on buying or earning without a single cent being used on your pocket. You can possibly earn btc with just your hard work and skills.
5320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin supersedes Cash in the near future? on: August 15, 2017, 10:01:29 AM
Being the first digital currency to really establish deep and firmly in the market. Do you think in the near future Bitcoin will dominate our current currency?
No i cant see such reason for Bitcoin to be considered to dominate our own local fiat currency because they would really stood firm and knowing that government would be always there and this thing cant really be considered at all. No matter how bitcoin would progress it would really just still remain as digital currency and this is why there no need to think off on this kind of situation regarding surpassing fiat anytime soon because it wont really happen at all.
