5421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinsquare - Have holdings but says 0 funds available to withdraw on: July 28, 2017, 03:45:54 AM
I started using Coinsquare yesterday and am not impressed.

I bought some ETH and BTC and cannot transfer to an external wallet because it says I have zero or almost zero available funds.

I waited a day to see if the ETH account would correct itself.  Maybe I need more ETH?

The available ETH was jumping from 0.000346436 to 0.004298 etc and never displayed the full 1.8232 ETC or whatever it was at the time.

Anyway, I switched to BTC to try to withdraw but same thing.

I need to get my funds out of Coinsquare. Don't feel comfortable with them.

Quiet suspicious since you do have the balance to transfer from other wallet. I did see on the screenshout that you dont have balance reflected on your account which seems a visual bug or someting. The best thing as of now is to contact their support regarding on this matter and i havent heard about coinsquare on the past which is do really have some doubts on using unknown services.
5422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of Altcoins are worthless? on: July 28, 2017, 03:17:45 AM
By that i mean its trash and junk.  On coinmarketcap, theres over 800 different altcoins.  Im sure there are at least 1000 minimum altcoins.

What percentage of altcoins would you say are useless?

And if so, at what number would you say okay this it he cutoff where these altcoins can possibly be something.  For example, the top 20 coins on coinmarketcap, everyone knows about it and its not junk since many are worth something since there is a huge market cap.  However after the top 20 coins on coinmarketcap, there are still lot of coins where the price isn't exactly trash but close to it.  I mean there are so many coins where if you read the name of these coins, it sounds like someone just made up a name for a coin etc.  I mean earthcoin... faircoin... really?

What im curious about is where was ETH, litecoin and many of these other top 20 coins in the list when they first came out?  Does anyone know?  For example where was litecoin and ETH on this list a while back when they started?  What about dash, monero and these other coins when they first started?  I mean i know every coin has to start from somewhere but does anyone know where were these coins when they first started out etc?  Were they in like number 100 or 200 etc?  Or did they all start out at least say number 50 and then moved up etc?

Its like when you read these coins on the list... you have to wonder did people just say hey look i like chains.  Lets just call a coin chaincoin.  Yes there is a coin like that.

Im thinking it seems like its completely useless buying any coin that is off the top 25... do you all agree/disagree?

Maybe i would go for 1-30 ranking then below it are complete trash but still we cant be sure since there are coins which is undervalued which do really have the potential to grow up but just still sleeping as of these days but well no one knows which coins do have this properties thats why when i do make trades i do always seek up based on rankings and no other things should be considered.
5423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop all the ICOS now! SEC is coming! on: July 27, 2017, 02:29:23 PM
Well this News would really worry American citizens who do participate on ICOs which they would really have already restrictions when it comes into these crowdfundings but for joes outside US then this news doesnt really affect at all since its just being implemented on a certain area. We can still experience ICO except those americans out there but im quiet confused why they didnt totally ban it? Theres something behind on it.
5424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can i trust EtherDelta with my Private Keys ? on: July 27, 2017, 01:30:40 PM
I have never tried EtherDelta, but if you want to do so maybe you should create a new wallet, but a small amount of ETH (or other tokens you want to trade) and try it yourself. If you find out that it is not safe after all, at least you won't lose everything at once. Keep your private keys of your main wallet to yourself until you get confidence. And always double-check URLs (myetherwallet, etherdelta, and all the other where you need to paste your private key).
As a newbie you are already knowledgeable when it comes on securing important stuffs and you are complete right we should really be aware anytime on where we would paste our private keys and never ever make it on public or else say goodbye to your coins. Ive been trading on EtherDelta and i would say that Private keys does really works fine for me and there no such problems when i do try to access it.
5425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice please on what to do with my coin on: July 27, 2017, 12:35:55 PM
Hi, new to bitcoin, I invested some money into bitcoin mid June after seeing all the hype online, since investing it's dropped like 20% really not sure what to do now if I should sell up now take a 20% loss or hang onto it and hopefully it will go up again? But after reading the news looks like it's not going to go back up?

Sorry for sounding stupid just jumped into something I didn't no anything about.

Thanks
If you did still hold as of now then im sure you are on breakeven on those last days when price do hits up 2800 again or even on profits. Hopefully you did sell on those pricepoints when you do see you are on profits which is common thing to do when we are already seeing some gains. If you did sell and cut loss then its sad since price will always rebounds back when theres a dip which is normal on bitcoins price.
5426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BITCOIN is the KING on: July 27, 2017, 09:13:27 AM
3 years from now before you see John McAfee do this
https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/887024683379544065
In my opinion, bitcoin is a good investment, please hold your big bag for the next 3 years or see someone eat it Smiley
That would be a challenge for him and i would really not forget such deal that he said. The numbers he did mention seems really too unreachable which means possibility of eating his own d*ck would be higher. Ahahaha and take note it would be done on national television which is really an exciting event to happen on next next years that he said.
5427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BITCOIN is the KING on: July 26, 2017, 11:59:37 AM
Nah, king is little to old for crypto world... Every day he is slower and slower, makeup cant make difference.
Soon will be time for new king, like eth or ripple
Anything is possible on cryptoworld and nothing on this world would always remain on top and bitcoin isnt exception on that which it can really be replaced by new altcoin but we wont know on when that thing to happen. Yes it is the king since its the first crypto currnecy which we can able to say that it is strong and cant becreplaced.
5428  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: July 25, 2017, 10:26:25 AM
I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?
Off course they did knowing that most billionaires are wise when it comes on generating more money inspite of their status. They will really jump in when they know that they would able to make more money and Jumping in Bitcoin isnt an exception and they know that it does exist and some of them did already decide to engage with it but yet we wont know of whome do joined.

Many millionaires became millionaires thanks to the crypto currency. It's a great way to make your wealth even bigger. I think that young investors are especially interested in investing in the crypto currency. Their views on investing are not as conservative
Yes they do make more money because of cryptocurrency knowing that this thing would really extent the possibilities on extending the money you do have. They are aware on the risk but they still decide to jump in because they know that this is an opportunity for them to earn even more money. Part always of a human being on thinking off on how to earn more money since its been always valuable to us here on physical world.

5430  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to invest on btc and eth on: July 25, 2017, 03:44:37 AM
Newbie here and I want to start trading soon. Just want to get tips on when to invest on btc and eth. thanks in advance! Smiley
Welcome to Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency world buddy. If you do really like to make some trades between these coins then as a begginer or complete newbie you should know first important fundamentals to consider first before tending to jump in into trading because its not really easy on making money, you should really be knowledgeable to make profitable trades.Talking on when to invest on btc and eth is when the price is on its dip or lowest because once price do goes up you can make profits on it when you decide to sell.
5431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could BTC dissapear ? on: July 25, 2017, 03:22:16 AM
I see all these topics ( especially related to crypto-investment advices ) where someone asks " hey i have X ammount of fiat and i want to invest it in some shitcoins give me advice pl0x " and everyone is wisely advising "whatever you do invest in BTC also , BTC gonna be 10.000 in a couple of weeks, btc rulz " . Why ?

Don't get me wrong, in my opinion the blockchain is as revolutionary as the introduction of the world wide web, but as Bitcoin goes , besides being the first of it's kind(sort of) what's more to it ? There are other products that do it's job better, faster, safer and more private ( am i wrong ? Please correct me if i am )

Thank you
You cant blame on people here on advising to buy bitcoin all over again and again since we are on Bitcoin forum then mostly people do really prefer on selecting always bitcoin as an investment. Since we do know that bitcoin is father of all crypto and people do somehow have high trust already to bitcoin when it comes to its support and strength when it comes to issues that i faces which these things caught really the interest of many people.
Agreed! Majority on this forum are highly interested in bitcoins and they are quite faithful to them as well. Their sincerity can be justified by the amazing nature of bitcoins. We all know bitcoin is the ruler of crypto kingdom currently and will be for coming decade as well. In this era of technology, bitcoins are best source of investment for making huge profits with little work.
This is why this forum being created which its mainly for bitcoin but now we are curren tly seeing lots of potential coins in the market as of now which means they do really follow or do idolize bitcoin yes its one of its kind and the first crypto have been created which means people caught their attention. Bitcoin wont easily disappear and would somehow last for more years to come as long theres an adoption of it.
5432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bowhead Health: Personalized Health Platform on: July 25, 2017, 02:54:34 AM
How long does it take to get fda approval? and does it matter for the project?

From our whitepaper - https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/0B2CimLH8gflNMzY0WEFhRlBxSlU

Quote
We have received non-binding estimates to develop the tests below. In addition, we expect a one year waiting period for the Food and Drug Administration in the US to authorize our tests for:

• Vitamin D

• Cortisol and DHEA (biomarkers for stress)

• Malaria

• Tuberculosis

• Sex hormones

We are developing the testing platform in partnership with an FDA approved labroratory and our team have experience in applying for these necessary licenses. If there are delays we will pursue approvals in other jurisdictions.

This is an amazing campaign which serves people the best in the world of Health security. I am truly thankful to be part on this and hoping for the success of this project. We all know that it's difficult to find ways in developing better cure of each health problems so assume that soon this info will be dessiminated worldwide.

For that I think ICO has to be a success. Every day that passes health is scarce, at least here in South America
Not only on your place but all over the world. Health is really an important thing and every place do suffer such illness that is why that this project do really have the potential since its basing on health matters. Its really good to see coins are being sold out gradually.
5433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence Returning to Bitcoin? on: July 24, 2017, 03:59:02 PM
...

I have looked over several threads here at bitcointalk, and it looks like SegWit is slowly being implemented (or planned for, or whatever) AND the price just ticked to (about) $2300, some $450 (or more) off its recent lows.

This suggests to me that confidence is returning to Bitcoin.

But, this might be just a bear trap, especially if anything goes wrong around August 1.
If you risk and did buy on those price ranges then you would really be on profits now since price do stabilizing again between 2800 ranges which means if you bought on 2300 then you are profited on $500 which is really nice but  well we would really think always on precautions about prices thinking of that it might be a trapped but those assumptions make us missed the potential profits ahead which you would really make regret later on when you see prices are now going up.
5434  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Webcam sex for bitcoins on: July 24, 2017, 03:05:16 PM
I think vcams provide a service similar to this and I have seen the admin in Bitcointalk forum so we can even suggest and get back from him. Personally, I'm not into this as I can use the same money for physical pleasure than virtual.
This is not acceptable for me eversince, because social life can be affected as bitcoins will be used for that kind of erotic activities. Then talking about physical rather than cam viewing with a virtual pleasure is really a demoralizing idea of payments for bitcoin.
You dont like it but you cant do anything since bitcoin can really be used anywhere on what kind of services do they offer since its still money and does still value which means the things have been done on fiat would really be the same on bitcoin too. It maybe erotic thing but we cant do anything about it but to accept the fact that bitcoin is already gaining popularity and what the heck on this post. Its already 2 years old thread as far as i can see and it have been bumped again.
5435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DGB is back, be ready for that ride on: July 24, 2017, 01:57:10 PM
Well, Digibyte is an altcoin have promising project about become to digital cash for gamer and streamer, maybe can use as prize for winner some esports. Potential of Digibyte very well, I guess in future Digibyte can reach $1 target.
It would really be a useful project since knowing that gaming industry is huge and would really be a great innovation and as you said potential is high and possible to reach up $1 which would really give profits for us who hold DGB. I do have some coins in my wallet which im still holding and bought it on a cheaper price wayback before.I do tend to sell it now but i do have doubts and better to hold a little bit more further.
5436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think 100% fan speed harm the fan? on: July 24, 2017, 01:31:14 PM
I talked to 2 fan sellers, they both said that there was no different between 70% and 100%. If this is true, I would like set the GPU fan speed to 100% to make GPU cooler, what do you think about it?
100%? If you are really willing to replace them for sometime and wouldnt matter on the cost then its your decision but  the usual percentage would be only on 70-80% the lesser it is the longer span of your fans life. Im hating on changing stuffs why would bother on 100 since the cooling would be still the same as far as a i observed.
5437  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: July 24, 2017, 12:40:39 PM
In addition to reducing unemployment bitcoin can also be an alternative to find additional money for those who already work

Yes,  I agree even though bitcoins hasn't  any benefits they still helped us in moneymaking and thus help in an unemployed worker.
Hasnt any benefits? Then why you are here on this bitcoin forum? You said was opposite on what are people seeing on bitcoin as of now on which its very useful not only on Payment system but also as an investment and together with money making possibilities. For those who have work it would really be a good add up to pay up some bills or even would possibility to surpass even more on our day job salary.
5438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Got $2000 BTC - Where to throw it on: July 24, 2017, 12:05:24 PM
Hi ladies & gents,

Have $2000 freed up, what would your suggestions be, what do you think will have a highest percentage of growth running up to the 1st of August before SegWit2x?

I know there is plenty of geniuses out here and I've only been trading for the past 6 months.

Wanted some coins you believe can profit in the next 2 weeks and the reason behind that? Thank you all comments and suggestions taken into consideration.

Kind regards,
-D  Roll Eyes
Just been said by those 2 people above me.. You should put up those funds on bitcoin specially BIP 91 is already locked in. You can still buy on some alts but i would really recommend on putting on bitcoin. Thats what im doing now. I sold everything do i had on alts and switch to bitcoin because i do really have the feeling that it will rise up its price later on or even after August.I wont really like to miss the chance again.
5439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the moon!!! on: July 24, 2017, 09:26:11 AM
For those that buy bitcoin last week when the price fell and was dump to $1,785 can now take profit as from https://coinmarketcap.com is currently $2,750. Thank God for another blessing!
It was really a great blessing and this thing is really deserved for those who have wise thinking on when to enter to the market specially on dip prices. Even myself did manage to buy some coins on those point but only on small amounts since i cant afford to buy whole bitcoin but yet does give somehow some profits which is really great. Congratulations for those who bought on that time.
5440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help with my portfolio on: July 24, 2017, 03:19:12 AM
Hi, I have been lurking for a while finally decided to start investing

my portfolio consists of

50% Viacoin
30% antshares
15% waves
5% Gamecredits

I have made slight profit but I am a newbie in investing should I reduce my stakes in viacoin and invest in something else?

Better to put some more on waves and antshares since i do know these coins do have potential. I didnt heard about Viacoin or just been missed by me i cant actually tell since i dont have any idea. You portfolio is good just make a little adjustments on partitioning it on maximizing profits later on.
