121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: February 23, 2020, 02:23:33 PM
I read that there are people who are addicted in gambling but they are successfully cured from addiction, I'm interested to know what are the methods they do in order to get cured from such addiction, I use the word cured because gambling is a serious problem, I call it as a disease, so please share you experience so we can also help those who might have been experiencing an addiction right now.
To be honest, i experienced gambling addiction a long time ago, but i already cured myself with a help of one of my friends and family members that i change my hobbies by just playing sports and working out just to keep myself busy. Honestly, i still gamble in a online gambling site only for leisure time and entertainment just to avoid myself from getting addicted again.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling or Casino gambling? on: February 23, 2020, 12:30:42 PM
Online gambling is more convenient than casino gambling because it is less hassle that i don't need to drive myself at the casino. But i still enjoy playing at the casino rather than in a online casino because it has a different thrill and excitement, and i also think that it is more fair to play in a casino rather than in a online casino.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A game that educates people about Bitcoin on: February 23, 2020, 11:40:31 AM
A game that would teach others about BTC is a good idea but the difficulty would be sharing it with the people that need it most.

People on Herr already know about BTC at some extend so that hardest part of the project is reaching the right audience and getting them to play the game?

How do you suggest or how do you plan on doing this?

Marketing is always a challenge.

My plan is to spread the word amongst people who know about bitcoin and want to help their friends and family understand bitcoin a little bit.

That is why feedback and game testing from people who know about a bitcoin, for example the people here, is important part of my development plans.

As a fallback, I plan to approach bitcoin exchanges and sell them the idea of making the game available to their users or use the game as a tool for acquiring new users.

The fallback plan is really a plan to use in case everything else fails. I would love to see the community finding the tool/app/game I am developing to be a useful thing.
I really like your idea about educating other people more about bitcoin and blockchain technology by creating a game. Everything in this world is possible as long you are dedicated to it and you don't lose one's head by making other people fully understand bitcoin and blockchain.
124  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Comelec Eyes Mobile App for Voting on: February 23, 2020, 04:38:29 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5226767.msg53865449#msg53865449

So habang nag sesearch ako ng information about sa topic na ito, nakita ko ang balitang ito.
Source:
https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1223141/comelec-eyes-mobile-app-for-voting

125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you share at least one gambler who have become rich in gambling? on: February 22, 2020, 03:23:58 PM
Since we believe that there are people who become rich in gambling or they are making a living in gambling

Can you please share at least one person who made that, and please put some proof.
I think a lot of gambler have experienced winning a millions of dollars in gambling because it is really their lucky day, but unfortunately they also lose that money in the same day, that is why no gambler have stayed becoming rich in gambling because the only people who can be rich from gambling are dealers and casino owners because all of our losses are their income.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have anyone tried to stop gamblers from losing while they keep on wagering. on: February 22, 2020, 02:52:11 PM
To be honest, one of my friends spend a lot of money in gambling because he believes that it is more easier to earn money than going to work, and i think it is true because it is much easier to earn money in gambling that you could easily earn thousands of dollars in just one hour. But i started to convince him to stop gambling since he started to sell his car just to pay his debt at the casino, so i started to control him and watch him everyday for him to stay away from gambling and for him to work hard just to recover all of his losses from gambling.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At the end of the year! on: February 22, 2020, 01:46:41 PM
I don't know why crypto experts/analysts always play safe by saying at the end of the year that coin price will go in that place/price! So, people wait 12 months to see it if they are right or wrong?! At the end of 2017, that was a miracle and after that so-called analyzer keeps predicting a high price by setting the timeline at the end of the year! We saw what happened in 2018 and 2019! It's better to learn the price chart and see other things to make your own prediction and strategy. Don't fall in words guys that Reddit co-owner, or Twitter owner or any other big names predict a high price, always do your own research in every sector in crypto. Good Luck.
A lot of people also have been doing research lately just to predict bitcoin's price, so that they could have a successful trade or for them to know when will they sell or buy bitcoin. It's true that a lot of people have made a great prediction every end of the year, that is why a lot of people have been holding their crypto just to wait for it's price to increase more.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Sometimes hunters are to be blame on: February 22, 2020, 01:01:06 PM
It's a shame asking a bounty Hunter about a project he is promoting and can't say why he choose the project, some bounty hunters are still promoting projects blindly, they don't do research, mainly when a bounty campaign offers 1 million tokens they think it's huge money whereas the total value is around 3000$ for all campaigns 🤪 and after getting paid complains takes place, who is at fault here?
You have a point that bounty hunters is also the main problem why they get scammed because they are too greedy to earn huge rewards that they don't have time to check and research the prpkects whitepaper and website. But sometimes even you check the project, it is really hard to say if it is scam or not.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Brave the best crypto friendly web browser? on: February 21, 2020, 02:52:01 PM
Toolbars like Pei and Lolli seem great at earning small amounts of Bitcoin.  However, Brave seems like the best browser to actually get rewarded for just surfing the web.  Are there any others?
Indeed. Brave browser is the most crypto friendly browser because they have their own cryptocurrency which is BAT coin that uou could also send and received a BAT coin using a social media platform like YouTube, that is why this cryptocurrency is really helpful for every social media influencers.
130  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: February 21, 2020, 01:26:50 PM
What is the sole most important thing in the economy?
*People
Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies are :-
*Providing jobs for them
*Giving them an option to save money away from banking Monopoly
*It's easy to buy and keep , no need of excessive documentation
*It's bringing revenue , no matter how small

I do think it is good for economy.
Bitcoin is really good for the economy because it can lessen unemployed people in a country, so that they can pay their debts and provide all of their basic needs and pay their bills, that is why i can't understand why governments in other countries don't trust cryptocurrency to be legalized.
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 21, 2020, 12:08:27 PM
I like to know your opinion about the question because I believe every gambler has a different way of managing himself.

My answer to the question is I can easily stop when I am winning because I am afraid I might end up with nothing since I know to myself that I am not yet consistent enough to win in gambling, however, based on my experience, I can't easily stop when I am losing despite the fact that I already set up a limit to gamble in a certain day or a certain session.

Do we have the same attitude or not?
I assumed that we all have the same attitude when it comes to gambling. It is really much easier to stop when you are winning than losing in the game because we are afraid to lose all of our money when we are already winning. The reason why it is hard to stop when we are losing because it is hard to accept that we are losing, so we keep trying to win back all of our losses.
132  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries and their own cryptocurrency! on: February 21, 2020, 09:41:00 AM

Countries going digital with their fiat is a normal shift because the age is already digital. Hard cash is not anymore the way to go in the future. For sure, the time will come when each and every country in the world will issue their own digital currency.

This was absolutely possible. Maybe in the future we will all be using digital currency because of its convenience and fast transactions. This is something that can benefit us so I think these will be supported as the time it will propose by every other countries.
In this matter, crypto has its place in the future especially the blockchain technology.
Digital currency is absolutely convenient because of it's fast transaction, but i don't think not everyone in this world has the ability to have their own digital currency because having a physical money is still the safest way for them and it is much comfortable to store it on your own, that is why you can't push that everyone will be using digital currency in the future.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 21, 2020, 08:49:14 AM
This question is always on my mind since then until now. I want to know the opinion of everyone here on this platform. I know that we have all different perception about gambling, so I respect what will be your point of view about that.

But to share my opinion, I consider gambling as a threat to gamblers. Yes, there are a lot of people who find happiness in gambling if and only if they can control their selves from this, but no matter how fun can gambling gives to you, the problem is still there, the addiction on it is always there, it grows day by day. There are so many disadvantages of being so addicted in gambling, one of which is forgetting your priority, spending your time to your family and your friend, you won't be able to more productive things than losing money, to the point that even you already lose and don't have enough money to play, you will make ways, there are times that you will ask a request to your friend to give you money as debt. You should be the one who controls the gamble and don't let the gamble control you.
In my own personal opinion, gambling is a threat and at the same time for fun because you can really gamble for fun whenever you are bored at your home or if you don't have other things to do. Gambling could only be a threat to your life if you just consider gambling as a source of income or to earn money because that will be the time that you will be greedy and addicted in gambling.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do some gamblers actually win? on: February 17, 2020, 02:15:40 PM
We all read threads where people say that it is impossible to win against the house because the edge that is always against a gambler.

But often when I am playing dice and I see chat and view stats of some gamblers there are actually some profiles that show profits while some show loss so my question is, do people actually make profits from dice or the stats are misleading or something?

And I am talking about regular gamblers who I mean are active in chat almost daily so it's not like they made profit once and stopped gambling, they are active and gamble almost every day so how some guys are managing profits while others are failing?

Self-moderation policy:
When you talk on-topic, we are all fine to go. May lock after considerable discussion. Thanks for understanding.
There are really gamblers who have actually win in gambling many times, but their winnings didn't last long because they are just too greedy to play again over and over that they are still not satisfied with their winnings, that is why no gamblers have gone home rich. It is the reason why casino owners and dealers are the only ones who get rich in gambling because all of their losses will go straight to their pocket.
135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If google has its own crypto currency? on: February 17, 2020, 01:59:04 PM
Hi, I have a question if Google will have its own digital currency?it will beast bitcoin or not?

I think that it will beat Bitcoin easily! Because Google controls the whole world of the Internet! And it is very famous among the people all over the world. It can market its currency easily.
This is my opinion! What is yours?
In my own opinion, google would never think that they will make their own cryptocurrency because i assume that they don't have any interest about cryptocurrency, that is why they are some issues in YouTube that they deleted a huge numbers of crypto videos that they stated it was just a bug or a mistake, but i think it was on purpose because why only crypto videos?
136  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the strangest Fiat currency you have seen? on: February 16, 2020, 05:17:20 PM
I would have to say my favorite and it is rather strange.  Is the $5 Bill Murray.

In my own personal opinion, the strangest fiat currency that i have ever seen is the Philippine Peso because here in our country we have change the design of our money for many times, and it is really frustrating that we don't really need and ask to change the design of our fiat, that is why it is really strange why our governments wanted to change our fiat many times.
137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Hardware wallet really secure enough? on: February 16, 2020, 04:51:22 PM
Recently I have seen the news that Trezor hardware wallet was hacked in 15 minutes! Was it true guys? Or I have misunderstood? I thought they have very strong security that can't be breach so easily! But look at what can be happened to Trezor within 15 minutes! So, how can we feel 100% safe in hardware wallet?
A hardware wallet is honestly a secured wallet like trezor and ledger. I think the news that you have heard about a trezor wallet was hacked in 15 minutes is maybe because he goes online using his wallet that a hacker has a chance to have an access in the walllet or he might not be using a legitimate trezor wallet.
138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you use a trading Bot? on: February 16, 2020, 04:31:00 PM
Do you use a trading bot and what's your favorite trading bot?

Also what type of strategies you use with the bot? And it is profitable for you?
Not really I use any trading bots but I past I used to have a few scripts which would execute orders for me, then with time I realized human intelligence cannot be neglected and since I have a lot of spare time, I usually never use bots. By the way talking of bots you may want to try gunthar's gunbot if I am not wrong it's pretty good I never used it though.

Mainly when in past I used bots, that was to buy BTC for a certain price and sell it when the price goes up, some people call it setting orders but I never set buy and sell orders instead I used bots to do that, but personally I suggest to do trading of your own.
Artificial intelligence can't really replace human intelligence because we are more precise and practical when it comes to trading that makes other traders don't trust these bots. Automated trading is really not the best option or solution for every traders because no one has become successful in trading from depending to it.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your recommended ways of gambling. on: February 16, 2020, 04:13:00 PM
It has been almost a year with crypto gambling but I feel I am still a newbie in gambling. I have not made big profits here but I had lost few of my campaign pay outs which makes to think like that I am doing something wrong and I must learn something before continuing with my gambling.

It would be too good if you share how you are surviving with your gambling. I read everyone is facing losses like me (not sure how true that is) but I do see some 25 to 100 people are online in most of crypto gambling houses; among continuous losses, no one could bear to gamble more. It means, am I missing out some trick? I tried auto dicing but I read manual dicing will be profitable but how patients crypto gamblers are to play manual dicing with least base bet?

If you have some tips which helped you to gamble for years, please share here. I have limited budget but want to gamble for longer duration even I will not make profits.
You are really into gambling which is really a bad mindset because you really wanted to play gambling not only as a hobby or for entertainment that you wanted to gamble to earn huge profit, that is why i suggest you should stay away from gambling as soon as possible because it will not help you to gain profit that it will only help you to lose more money. Gambling is not the best solution to gain profit, so you should find other ways besides gambling.
140  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there formula for bitcoin price ? on: February 16, 2020, 02:28:50 PM
I am wondering analysis of bitcoin price/value.
I see some simplified econmics model in Princeton course about bitcoin.
That is Supply = T/P
           Demand = S/D
For price P = TD/S.

Although it is simplied model, while it provides basic thinking about it.

My question is is there other popular model/formula about it ?
I think this formula won't be really effective to know and predict the possible bitcoin's price because there are no any accurate measures when will bitcoin increase or decrease it's price. The reason why bitcoin is very hard to predict due to it's votality that no one can really say what will be the next move of bitcoin.
