481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't governments illegalized bitcoin transactions? on: October 02, 2019, 03:52:03 AM
I have heard some stories about making bitcoin transactions illegal. It's all been a humor and I don't think any government have officially made bitcoin transactions illegal. Why is that?
Many governments are trying to regulate bitcoin, control exchanges and force people to be authorized. But I am sure government wish bitcoin was not created and there was no trouble of regulating bitcoin. They  prefer their fiat to any other currency.
Why no government have made bitcoin transactions illegal?
I think they want to avoid creating an underground market. They don't want bitcoin to be traded like Alcohol and drugs. They have to accept bitcoin as they cannot stop a decentralized network and now they can only try to regulate it. Do you agree with me? Is there any other things have caused governments to not make bitcoin illegal?

I think the reason why the government still did not want the cryptocurrency to be legalized because of many issues that it sometimes using in gambling, sometimes buying of illegal drugs, or anything that against the law. This reason can affect the decision of the government whether they will legalized the crypto or not.

Bitcoin is pretty much already considered Gold 2.0. Is that enough ? Does it still need to become a currency from here on ? Or is it the new "Gold Standard" that other currencies will be measured by ?

You cannot say that bitcoin is gold 2.0 because they are different. Maybe in the price bitcoin is much higher than gold but bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and intangible while the gold is a tangible one. Bitcoin will be a cryptocurrency forever unless Satoshi makes a decision about the bitcoin.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: September 24, 2019, 11:50:57 PM
I think in esports, there is no tricks to consider since only do what they have to do and that is to win. I believe that choosing a talented team has a higher chance of winning that choosing randomly.
Every team or player is talented. They wouldn't be competing against to each other if they aren't match. If it's a team sports, we should tend looking for a team play chemistry rather than seeking for who has the best player. We are also betting on a team or a player based on their win rate, previous matches, and of course their nationality in which it doesn't guarantee a 100% of odds to win; that's the challenge of esports betting.
Sometimes, a player can carry his team thus we can not neglect the fact that a team with a very talented player even if he's only one who is very talented among them all, their team has more probability to win. We all have different considerations in choosing which team we choose; that's the reason why esports betting becomes very exciting and enjoyful.

485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regret In Changing A Bet Have You Experienced on: September 22, 2019, 03:54:51 PM
I see no problem in this scenario. As a gambler, you should accept the fact that your decision doesn't always benefit you. There are a lot of scenarios wherein it's not favor of you maybe bcause it's not for you and you should accept it; that's how gambling works. That's why in gambling, you should be confident and certain to your decision; otherwise if you're in doubt then most likely you'll end up blaming yourself.

487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the US Government Trying To Control Crypto? on: September 20, 2019, 07:29:25 AM
Binance just announced that their US platform would be ready in weeks. The question is, what's on the mind of the American government concerning crypto. Isn't it possible they're trying to control it like the USD? https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/binance-us-ready-for-launch-in-weeks/
That's not going to happen. No one can control the cryptocurrency wether if they are institutions or government. However, they are capable of regulating them in which they may handle the information of crypto holder. Through this, they'll be able to monitor if there's any shady activity. This is a good thing to avoid money laundering yet very intimidating at the same time.

Normal na kase itong gantong business especially if you have google account, for sure binebenta nila yun for the purpose of advertisement. Enabling google alers can be a good one since you can get the right notification if someone is trying to avoid you, try mo lang enable to and malalaman mo na super dami ng mga hackers.

Ako kasi ever since, Google user talaga eh.

Paano mag set up ng Google Alerts?

Hakbang 1: Gumawa ng Gmail account.

1. Pumunta sa https://www.google.com/gmail/about/

1. Pumunta sa https://www.google.com/alerts

2. Mag-sign in gamit ang iyong email na iyong ginawa sa Hakbang 1 sa pamamagitan ng pag-click sa Sign In pinaka-taas ng kanang bahagi.

[Service / Wallet / Coin] + [Scam / Hack] Hal. Electrum hack, Binance hack

4. Piliin ang Show options.

496  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: November 08, 2018, 11:40:45 PM
How can we get people to use bitcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to get cash as a lot of people seem to do? When I say currency, I mean the literal definition of currency as something that is used as a medium of exchange.
Even online, there are only a few stores who are accepting it as payment.

Actually, we cannot certainly change how people perceive and see Bitcoin just because we think there is really an appropriate way on how we can use this. Since Bitcoin have lots of possible ways on how we can use this depending on the type of user, we cannot control how people use this because of the fact that it is their own will and not ours. Also, the reason why there are only few stores who establish of using Bitcoin as a payment is because only few people wanted to treat Bitcoin as that. What really matters is that people are using it right? Instead of ignoring it because they do not want to use this because of their own reasonings.

BEFORE:

Negative impact on the economy as per the past government.
The remittance market is increasingly $26 Billion annually which is rank no. 3 in the world.
Charities has limited reach internationally because of high transfer fees.
Unqualified merchants to accept digital currency.
10% transfer rate from fiat money.

NOW:

You can now purchase goods using a bitcoin in some small online merchants.
Availability of Bitcoin Atm located in Salcedo Street, Makati Philippines.
Bitcoin as donations given to the charities reaches internationally
Pay services using bitcoin.
Buy foods and drinks in the fastfoods in the philippines.
Lastly, increasing and growing numbers of people using bitcoin in the philippines.

This is how our country adopting a new technology, How's yours? Please share with us.

That is a great news to know that even a small country located on the South East Asia is already taking into adaptation with this new type of currency. Slowly but surely, people are now taking small steps on recognizing and knowing its worth to be used in many ways as possible just like what the bigger countries who uses Bitcoin and other existing cryptocurrency within the market. So far, so good that people are now realizing the efficiency cryptocurrency can provide to everyone and I can't wait to see how other countries who still not into using Bitcoin will soon get to engage with this and let them explore into this new type of currency that can provide exceeding cqpabilities than what we expected.

499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the Unsold Tokens? on: October 01, 2018, 02:39:26 PM
Hi,

I've been reading about the strategy ICOs use for unsold tokens in case they do not reach their hard cap.

As far as I understand, there are a few options to be used for this scenario.

1) Unsold tokens are burned - the most common option used by ICOs. If tokens are burnt, token holders share will increase, therefore its price.

2) Unsold tokens are not burned - founders keep them. It's not a good option at the eyes of the token holders. It can be used as a personal interest.

3) Unsold tokens are airdropped - A few ICOs (eg. FundFantasy) used this strategy. As far as they see it, the token price will be decreased but will be readjusted because people will use it.

I'm not aware of any more alternatives to those three. What are your thoughts? Would you use option 1 or go for the other two options? Would you come up with another possibility?

Thank you very much.
I am only familiar and can understand number 1 and 3 option for the unsold tokens of every campaign project. Such a wise thinking if those campaign team to exert such effort of making the unsold tokens useful and productive for the benefits of each and everyone. As far as I know, I can just recognize the possibilities that indeed those 3 options are done with those unsold tokens nothing more I can think of other options. Well, at least they have settled eveything not to be turned into a waste by thinking of a way to practically dispose it on useful ways as possible.
500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO PEOPLE STILL HAVE CONFIDENCE IN BITCOIN? on: October 01, 2018, 02:10:00 PM
Why are many disturbed about the  drop in the price of bitcoin  Cool. Come on guys, this is the not the time to give up on this amazing digital currency. Although this year has been a very volatile year for bitcoin, but one thing has always remained whenever this amazing digital cryptocurrency goes down, it bounces back much stronger than it was before. This is hope that keeps most crypto enthusiasts like myself who are resilient and have compelled us to develop a strong faith in this amazing cryptocurrency called bitcoin. Please this is not the time to give up on this amazing coin.  Roll Eyes
Indeed. Another great and optimistic view from a new member to boost everybody's confidence. Hoping everybody to still perceive the positive side of this drop that just like the other years that passed, still Bitcoin together with the whole crypto community have make its way going up to positively merged into such a beneficial manner that we have experienced. All of these are just challenge for us that are needed to be overcome so we better hope for best things to come in no time.
