441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem gamblers what can we do to help them help theirselves? on: October 22, 2019, 11:43:56 PM
I was reading meta section and saw a thread complaint about poor posting in the gambling section. I came to the section and look at some threads and realized there did not seem to be any threads made for the gambling crazed losers. Thus I posted this.
We can’t expect gamblers to post anything here aside from winning, losing and betting because that is the purpose of this section and I think gamblers are active on every discussion here because they know how to play it. Well if you want to understand every thread then you must be a good gambler.
As long as you've gambled before, you can join to the discussion and you don't need to be a good gambler though. Gambling discussion's board one purpose is to help everyone in developing their skills in gambling by applying and sharing ideas given by other players who has more experience and disciplinary act.
442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Airdrop or Bounty on: October 22, 2019, 02:00:53 PM
I always wanted to dive into the world of prize hunters but my knowledge of gifts is not enough to enter the bitcointalk contest or do I have to play Airdrop? Because airdrop tasks are easier than gifts? please tell me friend
I'm not sure about the gifts but I think you'll get more chances to make profit in aidrop rather than gifts since airdrop requires you certain tasks which gives value to the project itself thus you'll somehow get paid the amount of tokens you desserved. Just a pinch of advice, spend more time in looking for legitemate project rather than doing the actual tasks. Actual tasks aren't worth it if the project is more likely to be scam or just  garbage.
443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: October 21, 2019, 04:35:22 AM
I have a friend who wins 15,000 pesos or $300 the first time keno games in an offline betting outlet, he is so happy and very ecstatic about his winnings, I congratulate him and ask him how long before he hit the jackpot, he told me that it took him 7 months and he is betting daily at 100  pesos or $3 so his losses are bigger than winnings.

But surprisingly he did not calculate his losses all he cares about is he finally wins, how about you do you remember your losses when you win a big amount and do you calculate your losses and ask if the winning is worth it?
Yes it's a very common beginner mistake when you gamble. You judt look at your gains without looking at your losses... If you gamble just for the fun, it could be ok, but if you gamble to earn money, that's just very bad. You need to adopt a money management strategy,
As a gambler, I don't think we gamble just for fun since if we do then we shouldn't gamble in the first place but we should just play online games such as zynga poker instead wherein you're also dealing with real opponent yet the money you're risking isn't real. On contrary perspective, we gamble for both fun and profit; every move we make no matter how long we think about that, we intend to choose it in order for us to win thus we can fulfil our satisfaction and our financial needs.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: October 11, 2019, 11:53:56 AM
Dangers inside crypto investing
People may ask: Should I do invest in the cryptocurrencies by using my life earning and savings? Or should I take a loan out? Since I heard that the returns are so great!”

First off, that is really an extremely horrible idea. Cryptocurrency volatility can kill your pocket and rapidly reduce all your hard-earned investments.

Read : https://paperblockchain.com/what-are-the-dangers-in-cryptocurrency-investing/

We can't deny the fact that investing in crypto currency can easily kill all the money on your pocket, but if you invest it can also double up your money and have a stable and better future. You should invest on bitcoin though the volatility of bitcoin has a negative effect but of course it has an advantages.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin market dominance rising fast? on: October 11, 2019, 10:54:08 AM
Over the past months, Bitcoin has been rising in market dominance at a fast pace. Altcoins have been on a constant decline in price ever since the bear market began back in 2018. They've been the ones which suffered the most, while Bitcoin has obtained greater prominence within the crypto market.

Which is why, it wonder me wonder why Bitcoin's market dominance have been rising so fast? What could be the cause of this? Will altcoins die soon, as a result of Bitcoin dominating the whole market? Or will they still survive?

So far, Bitcoin has gained the attention of people within the mainstream world, especially since it's one of the most limited cryptocurrencies in supply with an outstanding development team. The Lightning Network is its most interesting feature yet, leaving many wondering if it will render altcoins obsolete. If this indeed happens, then Bitcoin would effectively centralize the whole crypto market. What are your thoughts about this? Huh

When someone introduces crypto currency to the other person and they have heard crypto the first thing that will come to their mind is the bitcoin. So, no wonder that bitcoin will be the number one and dominates the whole crypto market. Bitcoin has many investors and has a good price in the market.
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you done to promote the Blockchain technology & cryptocurrencies? on: October 11, 2019, 08:38:06 AM
In my last post, I was asking why the Blockchain technology isn't adopted as fast as we suppose. I got a lot of replies which did not only enlighten me, but also enlightened others. It's cool to have lively people here. In this post, I'm asking a simple question. Since we've come to understand that some people consider the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to be scam and some other stories, what have you done to help promote the Blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies? How many people have you introduced them to? How active are the people you introduced?

Well as my part, I didn't tell about it on anyone excepts for my family and my neighborhoods because I don't want to push myself to let them use the blockchain technology so instead I'm just sharing, how crypto currency help me in terms of needs and its up to them if they want to use it or not.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you can have a dinner with Mr Satoshi on: October 11, 2019, 06:42:11 AM
You’re invited to have dinner with Mr Buffett Mr/Mrs Satoshi. What would you want to ask his/her opinions?

I would love to ask about his/her views about whether he/she is satisfied with all the hard fork soft fork ICO airdrop masternode that’s going on, I think it would blew his/her mind to even imagining what we had done to the crypto with him/her absence for so many years. And I can imaging it would be a very wonderful dinner that’s for anyone.

Well, if I'm going to have a dinner with Satoshi I will be glad and thankful. I will ask first why does he/she/they didn't want to reveal their true identity though they made a very successful program that can help many people in the future. The second and last question that I will ask is if they have more plans to create something like bitcoin or anything.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think majority of the people heard or read Bitcoin one time or another on: October 11, 2019, 04:30:52 AM
Bitcoin has come along way we have seen massive adoption and so many videos, news, and articles about websites and many people have invested and are now using Bitcoin do you think after ten years majority of people around the world have heard or read Bitcoin one time or another?

We are in present but I think many people have already read or read any articles that related to bitcoin. I think in the future the population who knows bitcoin will increase and those who are newbies right now will become knowledgeable in the future. Bitcoin will be spread more and will accepted in all over the world and become one of the currency that will be used.
449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrency soon be an alternate payment option? on: October 09, 2019, 04:07:30 AM
Just a month ago, giants like Starbucks, Nordstrom, Whole Foods, and AT&T announced that they accept cryptocurrency as a payment option.
With the  popularity that cryptocurrency is growing there is no doubt that it will soon be among other payment methods. Especially for the international payments, with its ridiculously low fee and time taken for inter-border transfers it is surely the favorite among the traders.
Also, with giants accepting it as a payment option there is no other need to prove its authenticity.

Do you own any cryptocurrency yet?

Cryptocurrency now is already alternate mode of payment, though there countries that are still refuses to use the crypto currency even though they know how authentic and valid and important the crypto is. I have some crypto but I need to convert it to fiat because I don't know what are the companies here that uses crypto as mode of payment.
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Fully Decentralized World is Possible? on: October 09, 2019, 02:30:13 AM
Can we truly have a fully decentralized system? For example, we control our own money, properties, internet etc. If we can, how can we achieve this and what obstacles can we face? I want to control my money and I don't want my government to control what I see on the internet. There are ways of overcoming some of these but the whole internet is coming from the ISPs. We may have a satellite(Elon Musk) for internet which makes the decentralization easier for us.

The world will be ruined if we have the fully decentralized system all over the world. No one can control you which means you can do everything. Yes, people wants to have a privacy but we need to be controlled because every people will not be responsible to what happens to your transactions. We have different mindset and different ways of thinking.
451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the future ?? on: October 08, 2019, 02:26:41 PM
This year; ieo unfolded.

It was supposed to surpass ico and be a better crowdfunding method; but it has gone cold faster than ico did.

If you compare Your experiences too; between altcoin and bitcoin; you would notice that

1. Altcoins are so many; that they replace one another.
If an old altcoin dies
New altcoins will replace them and old one will be forgotten... It goes on and on

2. Bitcoin has maintained its class and importance;

Is it that bitcoin is the only hope for the future ??

For me bitcoin is not the only hope for future. Since there are many altcoins like ethereum, litecoin, ripple in which they are in line and are under the top 10 in the whole crypto currency. So, I think this altcoins in the future can match the price of the bitcoin. So, let's add our hopes in the future for the altcoins and not just for the bitcoin.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Founder of bitcoin??? on: October 08, 2019, 12:12:24 PM
Strangely James Bilal Caan claims that he was the founder of bitcoin.. But lost his hard drive.. Is this possible??

What you guys think about James? Why he use this type of statement.. Specially his explanation about his hard drive?

Anyone can pretend to be Satoshi Nakamoto but have you ever wonder why he claims that he is satoshi nakamoto yet he is not cautious in his things and he lost important to him. So, I think he is just one of the stupid people who wants to get attention and be fame.
453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should move to BTC? on: October 08, 2019, 10:11:19 AM
Hi guys ! Thats a question i do to myself very often , and it always looks like the right answer. My main coin for now its XRP (like 3000) and a very few BTC (0.005).

I hold XRP from long time but i see BTC price raise a lot and XRP don't do much. They have a consolidated project but no matters what BTC price its still mandatory.

So the question is , should i sold like 2500XRP and buy BTC when this one have a price drop?

I know its something i had to decide myself , just looking for what you guys think.
Thanks!

For me, I think you should start buying bitcoin because bitcoin's price is now starting to increase. I think it's better to start selling your xrp to bitcoin because xrp is less stable than bitcoin. Of course bitcoin is the number one in the market so you should start buying bitcoin with your xrp. Though the decision will be up to yours.
454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen after cryptocurrency on: October 08, 2019, 08:31:50 AM
Money changed its shape through the history. As from non-monetary exchange to the need of having money. Fast forward to our current banknotes which are in my opinion slowly dying with bitcoin taking over. Many discussions are being held if bitcoin can be the primary currency in the world. Let's assume it can be. Everything has an end so what do you think will come after bitcoin? What will money look like hundreds of years from now? I predict its gonna be digital of course but I'm interested if its going to be a cryptocurrency or something else.

If there is something that will occur after the bitcoin, I think it's just only an altcoins. I think bitcoin is not slowly dying but rather its knowledge are being spread and now there are many people who are currently using cryptocurrency. So, I think after many years bitcoin will be widely accepted and will not be banned in other country.

Or is it very little profit and not worth reinvesting? Help me understand this mathematics of reinvesting to multiply profits... I'm very confusing about it, and I want reinvest and multiply...

Sorry for the silly questions, but that's how you start  Undecided

PS:. I have already prepared my mindset, and I am only investing a money that if I lose it will not hurt me.

First I think, you need to be patient because the price of bitcoin is volatile. Many other people suggest that you buy bitcoin while it is in lowest price, so that when the price of bitcoin start to increase then you will not have any problem with that. Investing in bitcoin is like a gamble of patience, if you lose your patience then you will not get the result that you really want.
456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dealing with cryptocurrency (in my country) isn't easy as I thought on: October 06, 2019, 03:13:05 AM
Today, while I was surfing through the forum, I came across a post in which someone complained about bitcointalk.org not loading in Turkey. Under his post were several replies that explained that the site happens to be blocked by some internet service providers (which is sad).
A few days ago, I made a post in which I asked "What have you done to promote the Blockchain technology & cryptocurrencies?".
I went through several replies which were pleasing and supportive to the Blockchain technology. Amongst them, someone said that he wore bitcoin shirts around (an ideology I really admire). Another said that he created a facebook page (also interesting).
Just recently, I saw a complain from someone in my country. According to the screenshot which contained a mail from his bank, it said that his bank account has been frozen because they found out that it has something to do with virtual trading (cryptocurrency). Not only was I surprised, I was provoked. You know, one of my plans was to buy numerous Bitcoin and Ethereum polo shirt and wear them (to help promote). However, as it stands right now, I'm afraid I can't do that because I could be held as a user of cryptocurrency. Though this isn't any easy, I'll still keep trying what I can to spread the word. The Blockchain technology gospel must be heard!!!

There are still many countries that didn't accept any crypto in their country maybe because of the flaws and abusing the use of crypto just to do an illegal act. But I think in the near future they will accept the bitcoin because even though it has flaws there are still people who supports to the run of the bitcoin and/or crypto.
457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware!! Bitcoin can be the future but a lot of work is to be done on: October 06, 2019, 02:13:29 AM
Bitcoin is a p2p system of transaction. Bitcoin has shown alot of signs so far that it is here to stay and even over Shadow the normal system of transaction.

Bitcoin which was created in 2009 by sir satoshi Nakamoto it growth level is quite OK and the value is still volatile and prone to changes of the market

Bitcoin has some advantages over other transactions process like it does not have and fee or charges attached to it and it is decentralized meaning it is not regulated.
Well as a cryptocurrency enthusiast my wish obviously is to see a rapid growth of bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large but truth be told there is a lot of work needed

Well limitations like lack of transaction protection on like make payment that is under a body regulations which you have protection for it. Making transactions with bitcoin does not guarantee you any security so it totally at your own risk

Also with bitcoin transaction can not be reversed like it is with other system of transaction

If you lose your bank account number or pass word you can go to the bank and fill certain forms and probably get it back but not with bitcoin wallet one you lose your wallet and it's detail it is gone forever all your earning blown away

Also lesser transaction opportunities. Although the cryptocurrency world is growing using it to make transactions might not be generally accepted as of now.  Not every one accepts it

PS. Cryptocurrency is no joking ground and it is still developing when you are in it either you gain or you lose. It is very important to know how to navigate it personal security should be of optimal level. Go through educational books and videos. Protect you personal details like your private keys and so on.

We all want cryptocurrency to grow but work needs to be done

Of course we need to work and work and work. Because you cannot get any profit without doing anything. Even the simplest thing like joining this forum and cooperating can be consider as a work. Making bitcoin the future needs to take more time, it needs to interpret to the other people how good does bitcoin even though it has many flaws.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the difference between staking and mining??? on: October 06, 2019, 12:32:51 AM
is there any difference, are they one and the same? Huh

I do not have any idea about staking but I have a little knowledge about mining. If I'm not mistaken mining consumes a large amount of electricity because you need to open your personal computer for maybe almost 24 hrs. I think that staking is the opposite of mining but I'm not quite sure.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: October 05, 2019, 03:06:55 PM
You know this question is unavoidable...

DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN?

A lot of people have heard of the benefits achievable with BTC investments and decided to invest.
The recent market setbacks have brewed a very big question in the minds of new investors...

What will be your response to this question?

For me, you didn't make any mistake. When investing in bitcoin it is like your patience are being tested. When you want to invest you just need to know that bitcoin is very volatile and it is not a quick way to become rich. Just learn everything on how it works and you will realize that you are not making any mistake.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are we really investing in bitcoin? on: October 05, 2019, 02:34:18 PM
Is the service and profitability, even if bitcoin is highly volatile, are the only two reasons why bitcoin is attractive to investors? Any good opinions or answers? Thanks

Different people have different interpretation when it comes to bitcoin. I think those two reasons that you have said is not the only reason why bitcoin is attractive to the investors. Though being profitable is one of the biggest reason why they are supporting the crypto currency.
