yes they scammed me to. Order ID 1319, ordered 07/01/2014 nothing until today. May they go to hell. Do not buy from them, never, never.
As so many have realised, when we say surface mail takes 6-10 weeks (up to 13 weeks) from when it leaves the country we aren't kidding. You haven't been scammed, you just chose a really slow shipping method. What you can do is contact our support department and enquire about it so that they can ascertain when it left the country and when you can either expect it or receive a refund if it hasn't arrived (as micax1 did when his didn't arrive in time).

Shouldn't you have included another address for members to tip you for the time spent writing the IPO IPO?

Anyhow, this offer was funded months ago, worrying about the url at this point is a meaningless endeavor.
I'd like to reiterate this point: ABitInterested isn't looking for funding for this site any longer, it was funded months ago and he has been consistently paying dividends. The whole point of me being told about it was to speak to the accusations someone made about this being a long con. I have verified that, on the face of it and on the balance of probabilities, it is not and the site in question both exists and is making money. Fin.

Don't mean to drag this out, but: Are you saying that his site is so unique that thousands of users, over the time span of more than a year, didn't copy the idea a thousand times over if there was any value to the special snowflake bit? Users here don't even care about the name of the guy they send their coin to, or wonder whether the pr0nsite they "invest in" even exists -- forget stealing ideas.
If after more than a year on clearnet the site's still a mystery, I can only assume no one ever visits it.
As you and I are aware there are already an additional two (incompetent at first glance) operators seeking to do some magical camwh0ring sites for the-makings-of-the-moneys. Let us assume that, at a minimum, they would be interested in this and would possibly try to capitalise on the market. Now let's assume that our captive audience are all from one source, let's say it's a site that is made for and targets the people on the Fluffy Pony Forums (filled with lovers of fluffy ponies, of course). If the operator reveals his site here there is the consequence (already alluded to by him) in that the members of the Fluffy Pony Forums will be aghast with cries of "how dare he!" and "he's making money off of me? Unbelievable!" However, the consequence I am referring to is that our dear aforementioned incompetent operators will try duplicate the site (not entirely trivial, but not overly complex) and then will spam the Fluffy Pony Forums and be all like "ohaaaai guize, plz to come look at much bigger better largest best superior pr0n site with fluffy ponies here!" which will cause even more consternation in the hypothetical forum community. If a competitor were to develop and eat their lunch, it had best do so naturally as a course of a competent operator rising up in that space rather than a bunch of idiots targeting a specific community and trying to repeat a pattern "because they herd it wus profitibil". To reiterate: I'm only speaking from my observations - again, the operator's reasoning supersedes my observations in this matter.

|
|
I'm still a bit confused. Does one have to sign an NDA before rubbing one off? Or is ABitInterested's clientele fapping too rabidly to think of stealing his unique_and_disruptive_technology? In other words, what makes us any more likely to steal than teh pr0nz patrons?
*Just curious about the logic behind this, don't particularly care if scamming.
No no, you're misunderstanding. Copy-cats will and should come, but they should come as a natural order of business (eg. someone who uses the site thinks they can do better) not by being invited in (some idiot on btctalk thinks "thats making money, I should totally just do that instead of coming up with an original idea"). Regardless, the validity of his point outweighs mine: the captive audience in question would get all pissy if they find out they're making him money:-P
|
|
|
...and the reason for not giving the addy of the pr0nz site is?
He's replied with his reason already, which ties back in to the captive audience comment I made, but another one that occurred to me is that it's too easily duplicated from a basic functionality perspective. Just because a copy-cat won't easily be successful doesn't mean they should invite a string of copy-cats. If a string of copy-cats sprung up they'd be swimming up-stream against it, and I respect their decision to stay mum on it. If there ARE copy-cats, they should spring up as a natural part of a business growing, and not because one of the "I want to have my own pr0n sites!" crowd here ripped them off.

Had a long conversation with ABitInterested on Skype both about XXXProfit and about RecycledMoney.
Let me preface things by making something clear that should be obvious: he is not purporting to run a "Bitcoin business" and claiming to be able to make profits in Bitcoin. If you are long on Bitcoin and part of Team HODL and don't want to diversify your HODLings then why are you even here? Just hold your Bitcoins:) And on that topic, let's not pretend that any of the mining bonds (with VERY few exceptions) or pretty much any other business (real or imagined) in this part of the forums stand much of a chance of being Bitcoin-profitable.
Preface 2: Know what you're getting into, don't invest more than you can lose, do your own due diligence, I am not your personal due diligence-er, IANAL, I'm also not an engineer or mechanic, etc.
Now that we've got that out the way.
I think the porn website is in a very unique space, not by virtue of targeting some super-weird borderline-legal fetish, but by having gotten into a space early and having a very captive audience. They're up against some stiff (pun intended) competition, but it's unlikely someone coming into that space now would be able to make a move on their market without major capital investment and very significant community buy-in.
In addition, I have verified ownership of the site as well as the legitimacy of the business model and earnings/dividends to date. I see no reason, on the face of it, to doubt the validity of the operator or his ability to continue making USD profits.
With regards to the appliance repair business, I have discussed that business at length with the operator and confirmed that the business exists, has a listing on Google, someone answers the phone and knows who the boss is, etc. I do believe that they have an interesting business model, and I am sure their current plans will come to fruition.
Of course, this could all be some extremely elaborate scam 7 years in the making. However, I feel it prudent to approach this as I have when chairing disciplinary hearings, in that I am not looking for absolute proof beyond all shadow of a doubt (which would require an international trip and a great deal more effort for which I am not being paid). What I have looked for and I am confirming publicly is that, on the balance of probabilities, both of these are legitimate businesses with a seemingly competent operator that is using BTC-driven fundraising to expand the businesses.
Again: this does not equate to a recommendation to invest in either of these ventures, please invest responsibly and at your own peril. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1

fluffy: You think i wait time for fun ? I try stop him from next scam.
i do not think he scam, or i think he user twentyseventy. I KNOW he is user twentyseventy.
It would be nice if you provided some evidence instead of wild accusations. And PLEASE don't let the evidence be "language analysis" or some crap like that:) If he had accurate evidence that I was twentyseventy I would pay $10,000 to see it. Since he "KNOW" it I will wait for his PM. This all started when someone asked a question in my first thread and twentyseventy responded since he knew the answer. When I got back and replied that "it has been answered above" the haters took that as if I accidentally logged into the wrong account or something. The offer twentyseventy has on here, I couldn't write that shit up if I studied for a year. I've read it three times and still don't understand it completely. We are "friends" on Facebook though, since he is one of the few that has seen this website. One thing that really pissed off people like this is that they have tried to start successful websites and have failed miserably. They think themselves smart so if they can't do it then nobody else can either, right? Anyhow, fluffypony, if you will promise not to share the information I'll show you the site in question for this offer and you can verify that it exists. Cheers -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 This GPG-signed message proves to confirm the following: - - I'm happy to be shown the site, and if you're comfortable you can tell me a little more about the secret sauce - - I have no desire to enter that space and won't be sharing that information with anyone - - After a discussion and verification I will post an update here confirming the validity of the above and possibly a brief comment as to whether I believe there is enough secret sauce to justify him not revealing any information - - I will remain impartial and dispassionate throughout -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1 iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJTeNkWAAoJEFVDLfMczU/N1MYIAIapLsCTXIIJcnYc3cr39FGc Dp6/jYr8Q/87XTXSLuLh1XqcMTfrKZcV2NIFl9LTfwA70xZ7wmuZCrOXb190U/bd FhaciyLx9UMarJ+ZfrOq8tg4CnJaP9GfkwsFiUCmvXzgkKtZWdnlGDD42oW1pFJD 87gZraqvNYb/aCSLJ2T2k1At1KO03z3/Rs10+ia4z5t5TcfeLlfJ3oLDB48WWSZS KbNz26okU5avV50hGXkolX0S67FORj0/I4kYrbrYeqDpbQnep9A3nSjzWlw+ffLk hhr4cvhzIBIMcc2q/Utx5IOsoN++tLWOQ+fViXOZhoLtFMwpj6J50C8yo86ZFz0= =684g -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

long con just begin now!! He ready for next business venture. LOL he run porn site but no give URL ? Why not ? Maybe one or two of you user sign up to it.. is that not point to incease advertising ? Or he not interested in increasing the users by FREE advertising here. Or maybe he make porn site accept bitcoin... maybe porn site not exist. Any body who believe is going to be scammed in next venture. Why he wrap this up ? So he start next business. Any idiot can start fake investment, not give URL and pay measly dividend to investors if it mean they get good feedback. You need ask why ?? He lost measly amount of bitcoin to get good feedback. a) abitinterested is user twentyseventy b) he now continue long con I have user twentyseventy dox. I release when abitinterested run next business and finally scam investor twentyseventy you think so smart, unfortunately you make 1 major mistake very very early in game You're being silly. He's under no obligation to reveal the URL, and he stated his reason for not doing so before. His decision not to may have negatively impacted on his ability to gain an initial investment, and that is his choice to make, not yours. Just because you find it fishy does not mean he has to reveal it. He raised the funds regardless, and he has been paying dividends (or else his investors would be vocal about not receiving them). If you have an actual point to raise criticising his business model or something relevant, please do so. Else if you don't like what's on offer, shut up and move along to the next window. Note: just because I think Danglebee is being a reactive moron and jumping to conclusions doesn't imply a recommendation of XXXProfit. I do not own any shares in XXXProfit and do not know enough about the business to consider investing or recommending it. As always, invest carefully, and do not invest more than you're willing to lose.

How awesome would it be if you joined forces with Myriad?
Not possible, unfortunately. Remember, the Monero code shares little similarity with anything forked from Bitcoin (Myriadcoin is forked from Zetacoin which is forked from Bitcoin). The RPC APIs are incompatible, the blockchains share no similarity (Monero doesn't even use Berkley DB as a data store), and the way transactions are managed and transferred is equally different. That having been said, there are definitely features from both coins that the devs can learn from and reimplement, and I think a spirit of cooperation and not competition is important.

He's an idiot, ignore him. As someone who recently dealt with something similar, the best thing you can do is not engage and keep going. Fools like this will get louder despite mounting evidence of your legitimacy over time, ignore them and keep going.

I've sent 30 Bitcoins to that address, the transaction ID is eieiohellno. I look forward to making a steady 10% a year, turning my $13 500 into $14 850 in 12 months (or, as an alternate way of viewing it, turning my 30 Bitcoins into 2 Bitcoins or less if Bitcoin exceeds $7 425 per BTC in the same period. Which it will.)
What if the BTC price will raise to $1000 again ? Well that's kinda the point - if I hold the 30 Bitcoins for 12 months and Bitcoin goes up to $7 425 per BTC that means that my pile is worth $222 750. There is literally no way 10% a year can compare with that. Now if they were known in the community, had a credible WoT presence, had a business model with a reasonable chance of success, and were offering to increase one's BTC holdings...well...

What is the maximum amount? I'd invest that, all I got.
22,917,194 is the maximum investment amount (in BTC). You can send it in installments if you wish as well! Are you ok with me investing my left leg? Like my actual leg? I'm going to need some more details. What is the condition? Is it mechanically sound? Are there any cosmetic issues to be aware of? Are you the first owner, and do you have the title still? Can I test drive it first? In order: yes, lemon, only 4, depends on definitions, have you tried rebooting it. Those answers should make about as much sense as this investment. Sounds good, but I think we're going to need an arm as well. Shipping that thing is going to cost an arm and a leg... At this rate I'm never going to be profitable. But...MAGIC...ok ok, I'll chop my arm off too...here goes nothi

Thanks for the update - I think you can actually PM tomatocage and he'll remove the Neg Trust
Tried that already, no response. Post in the Scam Accusations section of the forum asking to have your negative trust removed given that you have since demonstrated the legitimacy of the IPO?
