Did you do it on cool, clear, calm day? You know those hot days can really put the calculations off...

^^^ There aren't anything except cool days, except for the cold days. Absolute zero - the coldest you can get - is only a little more than 400 degrees cooler than we are. But even an arc in an arc welder approaches 10,000 degrees at some times. And that is to say nothing about the millions of degrees in an atomic reaction.

Of course I did do it on a cool day. There essentially isn't any other choice, or any other kind of a day.

^^^ Well, it IS both at the same time.

If you don't have any binoculars or other equipment, you can barely see the ship going over the horizon. Also, go to Kansas and look at how flat the land is.

But when you use sophisticated equipment, you find out the earth is a globe.

Funny that you would say that, you admitted several times that you didn't perform any of the experiments you constantly use in your arguments and yet you demand other people to do their experiments in certain ways, why don't you do yours first and then come back here, in fact why don't you study science for a few years, then perform the experiments and then come back here.

BADecker is lying or an idiot (choose one). Documented use of "sophisticated" equipment (the Nikon P900) proves the Earth is actually flat.

The current rendition of gravity is a theory based on relativity (1905) and it's been falsified by experiment (1939 D&P replication of Sagnac). The static aether and Coulomb's Law are the reality proven by experiment.

''and it's been falsified by experiment (1939 D&P replication of Sagnac)'' How do you know? Are you a science expert? How do you know that what Sagnac did falsifies gravity if you don't have the knowledge to judge that? Do you simply believe what you read?

^^^ It's because every time somebody goes to put this "flat earth nonsense" to rest and prove the globe a flat earther is born, you can't un-see the deception. Once the illusion is shattered it's broken forever.

You would have been silenced by now if your conspiracy was real and they had as much control as you claim they do, do you not realize that? Meanwhile you can see boats disappearing bottom first and you can never zoom in and see the bottom half. (MIRAGE CONVERGENCE MIRROR BAND ZONE, ETC ETC)

You're such a moron. When will you finally start learning 101. Look this footage - impossible on a spinning ball 24k km in circumference. I put a blue flat line in case you would still miss it.

Monte Viso from Lessinia - distance 300km

Do your math for homework. !!8inches per mile squared!!

^^^ But get your eye or camera down to 1 inch altitude, and there isn't any 8 inches per mile.

And everybody accepts that stuff flies off a spinning ball. But a slowly turning globe like the earth holds stuff on it by gravity.

Have you considered life 101?

Do your math for homework. !!8inches per mile squared!!

Elevation of the camera: 1500 m
Distance to Monte Viso: 300 km

According to this curvature calculator (https://dizzib.github.io/earth/curve-calc/), the amount hidden by the earth is 2052 m

Elevation of Monte Viso: 3800 m
Visible height: 1748m

Now, I'll admit there is a flaw in the calculation, but if you can't find it, you will just have to take the result as-is.

^^^ The interesting thing is that even a 2D picture isn't flat.

Generally, pictures are meant to be seen. Being seen has to do with the eye. We know that the lens of the eye flips a picture backward, so that the eye actually sees an inverted, backward picture on the retina. This is important, because the retina is curved, making the so-called flat picture into a concave image on the retina. But, since the eye shows things inverted and backward, we can tell that the reverse of reality regarding the concave is also true. This means that the earth is convex from where we can see it. But if our range of vision took in the whole earth, the earth would be seen as globular, as it is.
