It was when he was blabbering on about how he knew some guys that could see chicago from 50 miles away and could not detect that the earth was round over a big lake even after all their calculations.

The only thing that annoyed me was near the end when he started rattling off observations made by other people and expected her to accept them. I enjoyed the placement of the clip the Big Short.

Anyway, here are some of the ridiculous assertions:

22:19 — Gravity is strong enough to hold the moon in orbit but astronauts can float about.

29:05 - There’s a problem with it because the earth is too small.

30:20 - The moon was photographed at the same time in Australia and Florida. How is that possible? … One of these locations shouldn’t be able to see it.

33:12 - This is the only phenomenon in our experience here in this reality where the shade is smaller than the object casting it. So you can do a million experiments  with shadows. The shadow is never smaller than the object casting it.

50:35 - I’m not claiming anything … I'm just asking questions (which was not true) ...

While he may not have directly asserted that the earth is flat, he certainly was presenting evidence that it is flat.

Clearly Twitchy was just talking shit to dissuade anybody from clicking on the video and seeing one of his high priestesses dragged through the mud. But hey, good work standing up for your little buddy and finding those timestamps skipper!

That interview was a beautiful example IMO of an astrophysicist getting called out on their absolute nonsense; it showed how they can't defend against even modest criticism. If she wasn't totally full of horse pucky then she could have just answered the questions instead of rage-quitting and demanding that nobody ever see the interview.

This shows nothing. She might have been having an off day. Astrophysicist aren't necessarily expert debaters. She might be a plant. Much of every field of physics isn't known. So, saying something is proven because other things aren't known is simply foolish.

Why do you constantly use political science to try to proof other science? Political science says that you should lie as cleverly as you can... but anything to outtalk your opponent. That's about all you do regarding FE. You don't have any FE proof of FE.

Assuming that you are simply making a mistake, and not being a troll or deceptive in some way, your quoted post^^ is exactly why you are wrong. People long ago saw anomalies in the simple tests. So they developed complex ones. The complex tests prove emphatically that the earth is a globe, or nearly such.

Forget the simple tests. They are misleading you.
