Thank you Toshi, your explanation was super easy. I have now got my wallet setup and have staked 5 times since your last message 7 watts ....I am amazed, I have mined with GPUs, I have had OK on my laptop, 293 watts less out of 300 to use the Pi love it! Can you make it easy to understand the difference between Client and full node and what are the benefits / shortfalls of running either ? Awesome, and yes IoT + OK rules, the most energy friendly device and fast and sustainable currency. About Clients, nodes, fullnodes in easy terms: The OK Nodes are (non graphical wallet) and Clients are (Graphical wallets) Both of this use the Full blockchain, meaning both of them are Fullnodes. The ones that are not fullnodes are the ones that use thin clients or electrum servers, like Coinomi and most android multiwallets. Some Web wallets do use electrum servers as well, as this ones does not parse and save the whole chain, this can not be fullnodes. Fullnodes help secure the network by keeping a full copy of the blockchain, while the electrum servers alike just make use of it. Hope it helps, feel free to ask any further doubt. Awesome, that did it, thanks Toshi. you're awesome got me near 100k of your coins and aiming to acquire more as I can afford them Great to hear!

Any other ways to earn OK other than to stake this coin. Any node rewards in place for this coin. Little new here and reading up on it?

Hey crazyearner! Absolutely. Everyone can earn little bits by retweeting, posting and supporting okcash. I am on slack alot and control some of the community funds, for small actions like this, its easy. But with your nickname and post, i think you mean some real good chunks of ok. Absolutely. We need proposals on how best to grow okcash, and what your project is to accomplish that, and what you are requesting in return as a bounty. We are doing a loose census among those who can support with their own okcash, but soon will move to POSV3 governance model, as well as i'm trying to corral a group similar to the Dash Whales. Reach out if you want to talk any details in private. Slack: okcash.herokuapp.com

is there somewhere I can reference the way in which the staking system works ? So far I have several things I wonder about like what's how much time will need to pass till coins mature, smaller amounts seem to mature faster than large chunk transfers I moved 10,000 coins it matures in a few hours, do it with 80,000 coins and 2 days later it didn't mature, ended up restacking my entire wallet. Another is I know from Diamond and noble coins POS they have worked out it's best to transfer certain number of coins per transactions and total number of coins for the best staking chances, has anyone looked into this ? Min stake percentage to be a useful node, that is, my wifes laptop with 1330 coins on it says stakes in 9 days or something, though I feel it chances of staking are so very low it may never even stake, is that the right way of thinking ? or will a wallet with almost no coins in it like hers actually stake at some stage and still reach its yearly target of return ? thanks again you made it super easy for me to follow how all this works, I am wanting to learn more

That is a bit strange, the wallet syncs fast, just yesterday made a test, it synced in around 7-10 hrs. (sometimes even bandwidth / system resources can affect this) Even so, there is an Instant OK-blockchain that you can download, uncompress and place it into your .okcash datafolder With the Instant OK-blockchain you will be synced in few minutes, feel free to download and give it a try it gets updated constantly: https://github.com/okcashpro/ok-blockchain/releases/tag/latestNew wallet is even faster as well, is getting shared in the next hours after it gets ready for release. Let us know if there's anything we can help with or join the OK slack for support over http://okcash.herokuapp.comCheers

It means that your Coins and OK Wallet are constantly participating and trying to get their stakes into the system, so only difference between having more staking power or less, is the time it will take it to stake, as more weight helps stake faster, (just like bigger miners gets PoW rewards faster) but in OK, even the ones staking with 1000 Ok will get their yearly returns, as you say, it might take them a bit longer to see their first stake coming in, but they WILL come in and get their proper yearly returns on those coins. So yeah, you can leave wife wallet on and check when the first stake hits, % of network staking affects it as well, as just like mining, difficulty to solve the blocks keeps changing, so with less % of network staking is easier to get more constant stakes accepted, in theory they should get their yearly returns even if they are staking 1 OK (might take few months depending on the % of network staking, but they will get their Stake reward) Hope it helps, there is a new board over the http://okcashtalk.org forums dedicated to staking, so we can start gathering all the info in there for new users as well. not officially released yet, but even so already functional and ready for everyone that would like to signup to become part of the community. Hope it helps, Kind Regards.
