So how about we get a killer app and mobile wallet and get going with this. XBC seriously needs its foot on the gas. I don't mean to sound like a prick but the time is now...not 10 years from now. Every single day there should be movement forward. I spend 16 hours a day growing what I have planted...that same amount of effort should be spent on XBC on a daily basis. Let's get going with this.

Here is the thing, and I don't mean to sound like a prick...  no dev is going to put 100% of his heart and soul into this without funding... and I'm not talking a few hundred dollars, Im talking about a few hundred btc...  Also, I'm afraid that even IF you were to get the funding to be able to pay the annual salary of just one full time dev, it would take a LONG time to develop something from the ground up.  That's just the development, not testing, r&d, pr, sites, or post production needs...

My 2 cents... try to look at humanitarian options.  I think that the masses would be more willing to donate their time and money to such a project...

Y am I still here?Huh

The difference is you maybe get paid or rewarded in some financial sense for your 16 hours per day where xbc team do it for nothing? Why would they work everyday for nothing? They have lives too. They are keeping coin alive and running but community does very little or is not very active maybe?

There are good developers out there but not interested in working with a coin with bad distribution on the blockchain.Yes if the funds are available for team anything can be done by them as money talks in the end.The humanitarian stuff may be a good cause and maybe journalists in despotic countries could be a niche user base or something like this.XBC needs to have a niche market in order to compete. If you cannot mass produce a product like large industry you must concentrate on quality high end.

This is easier said than done TBH.We have been back and forth with over a dozen developers and countless pm's sent with conflicting points of view regarding the application of what was proposed.Issues range from compatability and scalability over time where we would need to add parts to make a whole package.

We just dont have the budget right now to start work on something that may be overkill even though it would be a very impressive piece of work if it was doable.

We were looking at just doing a basic version that bits can be added to later but finding the right platform to build on is also and issue. Many hours have been spent on research and discussions on xbc behalf so its not like nobody is doing anything but we have real lives too to deal with.

I forgot to thank you for that referral to landomata about his nxtty app and if there was some way we could work on something with him but he is busy with some projects at the moment but I will hit him up at a later stage again.I am not sure it is exacly like what xbc was looking for but it seems innovative.

I think someone is figuring out that XBC is by far the #1 most undervalued crypto on the market.

Considering the markets going berserk, who knows what will happen to XBC - could do a 400% easily

If anyone has any ideas where they would like to see them become reality remember the forum or here is the place to discuss it.I agree apps are all the rage but we need something original that appeals to all.

Some of the issues we have regarding ideas that were suggested by team members cannot be overcome easily unless we do a wallet in stages over time and that requires a scalable foundation.XBC it is a POS and POW coin.

It is possible with a fork of the Peercoin Wallet for android and a specially modified Abe based block explorer that the wallet uses. Many have asked, but none provided a working peercoin based block explorer.

Getting Bitcoin and XBC in the same wallet will be very hard - It can't be done it using the above peercoin based application.  Coinomi could be used, but requires an electrum server for XBC.

Messaging in the forms including group chat etc is too hard unless some open source applications that are already out there are imported into it.

Online address book idea is also a hard one. Verification of address ownership is best done by message signing and message verify.  That is how the cryptocoinexplorer.com site allows people to claim their address.

Sending to a handle is also very difficult.

The ones we partially get done to date require someone to have an electrum server running and magic is currently providing a server for the community for the site and some tor nodes etc already.

I've been reading the original XBC thread of 100+ pages from 2014/2015 and it's a miracle that XBC even survived all of that. I see a lot of coins that are coming and going but there are coins that are here to stay that are gaining traction and XBC is not only one of those but I think is one of the top/best.

Once XBC is listed on poloniex it will be fine.Poloniex have been very good to XBC over the years and it also has a very old following among the seasoned members of the trollbox but it has been the mother of all dramas alright.

Hint...there is going to be a major press release to introduce XBC to the general public including investors who do not know about it yet. That's a big deal.

More later.

Look forward to hearing more about this  Smiley Keep us posted?
