I believe that USA is actually one of the first ones to adopt bitcoin assuming that bitcoin goes mainstream. With the digital divide, the people from third world countries can't totally adopt to it, thus, their local currency will remain strong As it seems to me, in that very case these currencies would have to chance to remain strong. In fact, I could even go as far as to claim that they might not have a single chance to survive at all. Obviously, I'm talking about the case when the US itself adopts Bitcoin after and when it goes mainstream. The logic is pretty simple. The population of all these poor countries would eagerly dump their heavily depreciating currencies in favor of the US dollar if they only could. And Bitcoin, with its global payment system existing completely outside the control of banks, would be that US dollar totally free of all limitations, prohibitions and hurdles that a local government could impose on the circulation of the real dollar In other words, Bitcoin going mainstream for real would quickly run over weak local currencies |

It will not happen so bitcoin can replace the existing dollar in fact bitcoin will be the same position as the dollar because the value of other coins should be exchanged into bitcoin as well as the currency of all countries increase in price following the movement of the dollar.
It's not going to happen as dollar is in the world a lot of years already. People will choose to use dollar instead of bitcoin. No matter what happens, bitcoin will be used digitally and when it comes to fiat, that's the place where dollar will dominate almost all countries from their foreign exchange rates. we have so many example from our daily life, in very beginning where there was no LCD and LED people were buying simple monitor, but after that LCD introduced which reduce the use of monitor and after that people are now using LED which also reduce the use of LCD so if bitcoin will introduce in the world and almost all the people of the world start using bitcoin I am sure that the use of USD will automatically decrease. |

15 Years is a long time space... But like someone told: "Nothing is impossible!!" So we will know the answer until "15 years" comes  But I really want Bitcoin defeats Dollar currency  Yes, this is right. 15 years is too long to be predicted. 5 years ago people didn't know that the price of bitcoin will skyrocket up to 2000 dollars. But it will still depend on the decision of the government if they will shut down dollar. And if everyone adopts bitcoin, replacing dollar is not impossible. Bitcoin's price is still volatile, we can't know, and all we know is it has a future. |

Nope. I very doubt government will want to relinquish control... As a sub currency it could gain mainstream use but i think there will be much blood before BTC replace the Dollar. Dollar has a very great influence in the global market really. Bitcoin on the other hand is unstable so most people and companies would prefer dollar. Let's just say that dollar and bitcoin has its own respective uses. In real life uses, dollar or other fiats will be used dominantly especially in making transactions since what you pay is the actual price unlike Bitcoin which the price set to the deal would change its value at the time of the payment. In digital world, bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are suitable for transactions in this world since it is the most convenient thing to do. Also it is much suitable to use in paying services offered online. |

Bitcoin is limited in supply and there will be a big problem when the demand is increasing while the supply is getting lowered, it is not fit for the entire people to use in this of technology, the government knows what is right for the people. |

That is because the bitcoin spreading is not good enough and the number of bitcoin trader is more than bitcoin user so the volility of bitcoin is high enough. But when most of people in the world are use bitcoin I am sure that bitcoin price will more stable, but for replacing dollar, it will need a long time. |

That is because the bitcoin spreading is not good enough and the number of bitcoin trader is more than bitcoin user so the volility of bitcoin is high enough. But when most of people in the world are use bitcoin I am sure that bitcoin price will more stable, but for replacing dollar, it will need a long time. replacing it may not happen since dollar were already made a mark on world. As btc have a long way to made. |

No, For now and for next some decades it is impossible for bitcoin to replace Dollar, as almost everyone is using and every country knows about Dollar, but in case of Bitcoin only some people(country) are familiar with this. But we can expect in future to lead in Currency

The government will never allow that since everyone knows about the dollar, while not that much people know about bitcoin and it's also limited and can fluctuate way to quickly, the government wouldn't like their dollar going up or down by hundreds every day, that's way too insecure.

It cannot be happen never.. dollar is a main money each of every country so its impossible.. bitcoin is just a digital currency that has no stable price is just like other mineral like gold..
yes its true it cannot be happen that bitcoin will replace dollar because everyone measure every thing with dollar. not measure with gold because gold has more valuable than dollar. and bitcoin are just digital currency there price has more fluctuating in every month and more people not know about bitcoin especially elders. i think its will never be replace with dollar. |

I don't think Bitcoin will be replacing dollar anyday because dollars are worldwidely accepted. On the other hand, acceptance of Bitcoin is not that much and it would take years to increase it's acceptance to that level

The dollar (the American dollar) as we know it today has been around only for a little over 45 years. After it had been divorced with gold in 1971, it essentially turned into another currency. If you refer to fiat money in general, then gold had been used as money for many millennia but it still was superseded and replaced by fiat money eventually. So there is no reason to think that just because fiat money has been around for 400 years, it can't be replaced as well |

I don't think so, dollars is dollars and bitcoin is bitcoin. Maybe in the future the bitcoin will be boom or will put on top but never replace the dollar. It will surely replace dollar but in 15 years time,it will take a long while for bitcoin to replace dollar,many people still uses dollar on the daily basis. Since it’s an opinion but the chances to used bitcoin in all level of our society is impossible. Even bitcoin become popular or become top one currency, they are more people want to use a fiat (dollar also a fiat) because not all store want to accept the digital currency especially small business. In fact, bitcoin will be the option of civilization such as payment transaction (like credit/debit card), online shopping (like dollars) and other business. Additionally it depends on the supply of bitcoin. |
