I think we should pass the collection hat and raise some money to fund a small team of private bounty hunters to grab Paul and return him to the US. This happens everyday. It's called "extraordinary rendition". This could certainly be arranged privately.
Anybody interested in contributing? We can probably have him back in the US within a week if we mobilize quickly.
If I were Paul Vernon, that would be the least of my worries. Same true for having any concerns about authorities nailing my ass. Oh no, not of that would bother me. What should, and probably does cause Paul to lose sleep every night is knowing that there are sickos out in the world who honestly believe that he did it and has access to over ten million dollars that wasn't reported to any authorities and they may feel that Paul may voluntarily offer up the keys once shown a Monty Python tickling feather, if you get my drift. I'd say it sucks to be Paul Vernon right 'bout now. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me the least to learn in a day or two all the coins have been returned with no questions asked. Stranger things have happened in this space, albeit none come to mind as I stare at the sofa across the room. (and you guys honestly thought I didn't have a sofa - that's where I fuck the dog) If Paul is smart he should turn himself in. He will be much safer once he is in custody. Paul, just in case you don't know where to turn yourself in, try the US embassy in Beijing. Safer? I would love to see the Venn diagram of people with the resources to cause personal harm to him in China and the stupidity to lose money on his exchange. That'd be like so Vennonomous! ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) and call it the "Vern diagram" ....... pada boom pshhhhh Me see you no portmanteau much. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) my portmanteau better than yours... so there!! Imagine if we had Google, or the likes thereof, when we were kids back in the 70's (or 80's, age dependent). In general, kids today have no idea of the knowledge they have at their fingertips virtually always at the ready, whereas their parents had to frequent libraries during operating hours to scour encyclopedias for studies if they were unfortunate in not having their parents owning a set of Funk & Wagnalls, Encyclopædia Britannica if more well-off. Today, most the world's knowledge is at one disposal 24/7. That's fuckin' amazin'! Then again, nefarious activities are also manifested 24/7. When a Satoshi Nakamoto comes alone, soon thereafter outta the woodwork are scams to the nth degree to take advantage of the newfound knowledge initially designed to better mankind. And what type of folks makeup these nefarious folks? Dudes who once served in the military protecting the populace to only later fuck up the asses of those once protected - SANS LUBE!

...reduction in our safe/cold wallet balances of Bitcoin and Litecoin, as well as a couple other cryptocurrencies.
I will be posting transaction ID’s for other alt coins soon. Updates will be appended to this post.
Has Vern stopped updating his blog post? I was hoping he would confirm these other (stolen?) coins: $2.16M in Dash (456,501 @0.0081 BTC) http://explorer.dash.org/tx/ba798890d98936115001f69333956b558a4856c162516cb3ab46a6455de7a1eb$2.05M in DOGE (9.727B @0.00000036 BTC) https://bitinfocharts.com/dogecoin/address/DN27P1saQQ1fYesKP1LHT5MdSXBpgqka85

In re. DASH: Is 2014-07-29 16:58:12 GMT time? If so, it equates to 12:58:12 Florida time (EDT), negating what Paul Vernon said: http://blog.cryptsy.com/About a year and a half ago, we were alerted in the early AM of a reduction in our safe/cold wallet balances of Bitcoin and Litecoin, as well as a couple other smaller cryptocurrencies. Surely, the bright Paul Vernon upon learning about a breach in the early AM (EDT) would've locked everything down tighter than a gnat's arse, thus making it impossible for the event dude or dudette to further reduce Cryptsy's holdings ~4 hours later, eh? Bear in mind, by all accounts Cryptsy was virtually 100% wiped out on July 29, 2014, but Paul Vernon opted to notify nobody believing that he could easily replenish the missing funds over time if ONLY that damn article didn't come out a few months later putting a halt to his plans, but thereafter had no problem with spending millions not rightfully his if said moneys didn't stem from the Litecoin or Doge liquidations. At the end of the day, Paul Vernon's gonna have a microscope stuck so far up his ass that even Steven Hawking will have to rewrite a many of his papers due to soon-be-released discoveries.

Just like with the lady or gentleman who reduced Cryptsy's holdings during the event, Paul Vernon, too, is very picky as to what bitcoins he transfers from one wallet [address] to another wallet [address]. https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/0c07e0bec1002bd2![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FoKyUDQn.jpg&t=663&c=_BGHTxqb81GDVw) Why wasn't the 3.1983 BTC reduced at the time of the event? Who deposited 0.0001 BTC into Cryptsy's wallet augmenting the 3.1983 BTC to 3.1984 BTC less than two hours after the event? Why did Paul Vernon opt to leave that 0.0001 BTC unspent while transferring out the 3.1983 BTC? Did Paul consider that 0.0001 BTC taboo, perhaps of some unknown source in his mind that maybe some three-letter entity's in the process of tracking the booty, hence still sitting comfortably numb in 18 bitcoin wallet addresses with the Fearless Leader fearing the worst? Do the movement times of the other stolen altcoins coincide with movements of known Cryptsy bitcoins after the event? Another revelation forthcoming that'll make Paul Vernon toss and turn in bed tonight.
