Just wondering if an S5 runs 60 chips for total 1150GH/s = 1150/60 = 19.16GH/s.

Whats the optimal settings to achieve this or higher because I'm struggling?

If an S5 can do it then we should be able to Smiley.
the s5 is default at 350..

keep in mind you need 2A or so on the 5v line to achieve this.

The S5 is also 12V/15 or 800mV, which is the highest voltage setting possible on an unmodified Compac. That said, I and others have run unmodified Compacs over 400MHz without issue.

Cool, quiet and up to 1TH pod miner, on sale now!

exactly...I am trying to gear up for using Y cables on a Superbpag hub, which by itself is already 2A/slot, so i got some 3A Y's (with a very thick cord)...holding one stick back until i finally setup Debian on a PC in a double boot mode, then it is a go time, hopefully tomorrow.
This stick would be "experimental". Other eight chug along at default (~11GH).
Question to stick gurus: would it be theoretically possible to combine two Y's into a super Y? Essentially combining four slots to power one stick?

Could you link the Y-cables? The ones I have all lower my voltage and amperage so it would be great to get something beefier. Thanks!

anyone running minepeon on a pi with this compac plugged in?

i cant get it to hash over 3ghs
it is in a powered usb hub 2.0 5v4a

if anyone has a step by step so i can see if i  missed anything.

or if you have a better idea on how to go about setting up the pi to work... im open to any ideas

best way to start is to check at what V the core chip is running.

So get your favorite multimeter and verify using ground + vcore pads at the back.

then force it to run at 150Mhs for a start.

and then take it from there depending on your usb hub W per port.

Check this for speed / W correspondence:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16epfBXVscFFZV1G3_Gn8SHDzB46bq93CUnH8cHoyoxQ/edit#gid=0

hey, are you planning to put that spreadsheet back online?
Or, In particular, do you have a table of mv/mhz correlation, like if, say, I move the wiper to 12am (~700mv), then what the mhz setting in bfgminer should be (275?)? Such table would be quite handy.
thanks

This chart from Bitmain actually contains everything you need to know, if you know how to use what you know.

but you also have to get couplers for those, otherwise they won't fit (maybe there are male to female Ys, but I did not find them initially):

Thanks! I have been looking at these as well: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/USB-3-0-Super-Speed-Male-A-USB-2-0-Plug-to-Female-A-Extension-Y/32428283920.html?spm=2114.01020208.3.209.wMikPP&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_4,searchweb201644_3_79_78_77_82_80_62_81,searchweb201560_3 and they seem to be the same (except for the need for the coupler). I guess testing is the only way to really tell which are going to be the best. Thanks again.

yeah, those should work, but it is up to 39 days shipping to US
here is similar from ebay (unless you are closer to China), although it is usb 2.0:

You can go even cheaper.  I can't find exact one I bought quickly but was like - http://www.ebay.com/itm/39cm-USB-2-0-A-Female-to-2-Dual-USB-male-Hub-Power-Adapter-Y-Splitter-cable-Cord-/141745213314 .   For less then 2 bucks you can get one that works, only thing is shipping is slow so takes advance planning.

But you can go pretty cheap and it works just fine.

If you're seeing the flat at about 9 o'clock, you're probably running more like 750mV. That's more than you need for 240MHz, so the 7W reading is starting to make sense. For 240MHz you probably want the flat at more like 6 o'clock. 200MHz I see about 4W draw, and 300MHz is about 6.5, so 240MHz you'll probably see around 5W when it's set for stable and efficient running.

you were right and my memory was flawed.

I just measured Vcore at 750mA.

Anyway.

I'll start again on monday as I now have the USB doctors.
Hopefully I'll have some quiet time so I can figure the relation between the figures in the BM1384 datasheet (I understand they're for the chip only, so I'll have to add 10% for the rest of the stick components)

0.75VCore = 1.4Amp on the display => 5Vx1.4A=7W

well, they're not stable over 280Mhs at 0.75Vcore...

I have to investigate further

750mV should see you past 300MHz or so, though it could be a slow chip. Or your hub is starting to bottom out the voltage because it doesn't like pushing 1.2 amps through one port and the stick's buck is having trouble.

I'm using Y cables.

4 sticks on 1x 60W USB3 hub + 2 sticks on 1 30W USB3 hub.

I'll fine tune the thing tomorrow.... or later :p

I'm building a proper "stand" for the sticks with push/pull cooling.

I've buy Pi 2 in order to mine with my new Compac's, but I've got a problem that Pi2 don't recognize ASIC's connected with USB v3 hub Orico. I've red lately that the Pi2 has a problems with this. BUT it;s strange that the Wifi that is connected on the same USB v.3 hub was recognized... Only the ASICs not .
After that I've try to run the same configuration on my old Cubieboard 2 and everything went fine.
Now if someone can help me to sort it out my Pi 2 problems?
