Hmm no luck . Is it normal to have to adjust the voltage screw to get it working at all? I have a voltmeter at home and should be able to test further tonight.

Simply unplug and replug the stick while cgminer is running.

Depending on windows ver, some times it might take a few installs - UN-installs to get zagdig to work. Also did you try running cgminer as administrator?

There was mention of zagdig missing a .dll or something, so may be some thing to look at.

Alright so I got to give it a try at home with my voltmeter.
It was set at 0.7V. I had the same error message on this PC. It looks like it did hash very briefly, but received an error before it could complete.
I tried changing the voltage in a few increments down to 0.55V and then back up to 0.8V, but had the same result regardless. I've set it back to 0.7v for now.

Did you download and add the missing zlib1.dll to the modified cgminer?

Well it should run fine at 150Mhs, but verify the Vcore.

Thanks, I don't have a multimeter here but I can try and get one. I took a photo of the vcore adjustment screw. According to the diagram I am thinking it is around 0.6-0.65V.

I ran cgminer with the benchmark flag, but am not getting anything new. It seems like it is trying to run it at 125mhz by default in the benchmark.

Anything else I could try without a voltmeter?

Also, your R47 chip has kind of a "melted" appearance.

Yes I had to do this to get the program running. Also i know what you mean about the R47 chip...it looks worse in that photo I have to say, but perhaps it is defective. Anyone have luck with returning to bit coin ware?

R47 is an inductor. Doesn't look damaged to me.

These 'beasties" are pretty resistant to damage.
My best half switched off the fan (not arctic) for a couple of sticks which were at 325mhz, so they overheated themselves to a stop.
Next morning, i simply replugged them with the fan "on" and they started hashing as if nothing happened.

.. in the cgminer commands, see if that allows it to start hashing, the 512 may be to much for the stick to work on within the 10 seconds

Thanks for the suggestion - I gave this a try but am getting the same result. I have also tried it in a powered USB hub, without any other devices plugged in. It has 3.5A available, which should be plenty.

Any other ideas?

Going to try the BFGminer option, as I do not have access to a Raspberry Pi. I'll let you know how it goes.

I also tried adding the device manually (it was mapping as COM16 port). Not sure if there are any special flags I need to detect the Gekko USB stick? It shows as supported on their newest version release notes.

Gave cgminer another try and got a different result this time, though.

did you try another address (not Burger) or at least, did you change it to have your unique worker name?
It won't work if you use just Burger address.
It seems that you are very close to make it work.
