Djokovic' on-grass win rate is at 85.83% and then from the active players who are going to play Wimbledon the next one is Bautista Agut with 69.59%. After that come Gasquet and Kyrgios and considering how strong Djokovic is right now, he is well set to increase his GS title count further this year. I guess only some kind of black out could stop him.
as it looks now, this season look as better chance for Djokovic to win all GS's than in 2021, when he lost final to Medvedev at US Open
and on Wimbledon, looking at form and participants, he is a main favorite, really can't see who can win over him in London

maybe there will be a surprise, but doesn't look were likely to be honest, it is just that he will probably not play any tournament on grass before Wimbledon, but he is experienced enough not to lose in first few rounds, no matter opponent

Novak Djokovic is on a good run right now. He is playing really well, and I think we can see that he does not think of himself as an old player. I really liked his idea when he said that 35 is the new 25  Grin. Anyway, I think he is performing really well right now. I also cannot see anyone who will actually be able to beat him.

I don’t think there will be any surprises. I understand it is not that easy to predict. Because things can go wrong easily at any moment. But the way he is playing right now it is going to be an educated guess to say that he is going to have a fairly good performance and he is also going to be consistent.

That is the thing, who is going to stop Djokovic? He is strong on grass and these days we can also see some of the better players struggle on grass like Tsitsipas. To stop Djokovic someone has to play above their normal level and Djokovic should only be able to play at 80% because even at 90% he would still be the superior player in the current participant field. Is he even preparing? Or is he just skipping all those "minor" grass tours and goes straight to Wimbledon? He isn't lacking confidence Tongue

The only thing that can mess up Djokovic is himself or an injury. He is so good on grass that he dosent even need tournaments before to get use to the grass. He isnt playing anything before Wimbledon and he always does this and dominates everyone. Tsitsipas is bad on grass this season and i dont think he will make it to the semis even.

Before we see Struff vs Zverev, we must first see them beat Bublik and Jarry, Struff vs Bublik are still pretty sure this German player can win if he stays consistent and what is doubtful is Zverev vs Jarry, Jarry was very good at beating Tsitsipas though Tsitsipas on grass isn't great but Zverev on grass isn't anything special either and he hasn't shown anything impressive so far, but if the two Germans met in the semis I would still go with Struff.

And the last remaining player from Germany in Halle is Zverev. Struff lost against Bublik in 3 sets. It was a good and close match from Struff. But in the end it was not enough. He will still have some opportunities this year.
Zverev is not good on grass. I already mentioned the reason above. But it seems he has developed and it will be a close match.

Can't be sure of the winning of Zverev. The quarter finals match is against Jarry. He's is in better form winning against Tsitsipas, and earlier he had won against Ruud in French Open. Won the Geneva Open title winning against Dimitrov. So, the match will be have good fight. In the remaining quarter finals it is Sinner, Rublev and Medvedev to reach the semifinals. Lets see if something happens as a surprise.

I didn't know that he also didn't play any prep tournaments for Wimbledon in the past. But I think that anyway he is taking care of his body and choosing tournaments wisely. I would even say that for him it is all about the four GS year round. He knows that if he "only" wins those GS tournaments and has just a few other tournaments with decent finishes, he will even stay at the top of the ranking. He wants his body to be as healthy as possible for the GS tournaments and I believe we will see him playing for maybe three or four years. I said two years before, but when I see him playing I couldn't come up with a reason why he should stop in 1.5 years from now.

Tsitsipas is not a grass player, he will probably left in first week
will be interesting to see who will see SF, maybe Zverev has some chances to make an upset, his form is getting better and better, and he has a good run on grass (as well as play-style)

last year I had early outright on Norrie, he reached SF, which was great, this season is harder to pick, odds on Djokovic are not worth it (@1.6 is better to wait for him to lose first set, maybe two, and play in-game)
Zverev @21 looks tempting, Norrie @34 is not even for consideration (last year with better form, he was @51), but Shapovalov @61 looks good to go into second week

Just my luck. Finally got time to go watch some tennis, and now Sinner appears to have retired from injury. Hope that doesn't mean he'll miss Wimbledon next month...

Interesting picks, casperBGD, and that's been my style for tennis, picking outrights with good value. Haven't done it recently though. I'm really missing out on good bets by staying on the sidelines but I just don't really feel comfortable without watching much tennis recently.

So Zverev looks like he has a clear way now to the final, with Sinner out. More surprises to come?

@Strongkored: Struff seems the better value for me against countryman, watched Zverev at RG when he bowed out and wasn't impressed, he does seem to benefit from his lanky figure and maybe an advantage on grass?

Aaand, Tsitsi does it again (or doesn't do it again). cryptofrka mentioned elsewhere that he isn't to be trusted on grass, but it's a meek, meek outing from him anyway. Actually had the gall to pick him for a finalist elsewhere on BSFL (you guys who're active here but not there keen on that?) but fortunately for me, him losing didn't matter for me. So much for trying to be smart.

Beginning to think it might be wise to put a few quid here and there against Alcaraz and Djoko now...

Tsitsipas - ah man are you still betting on him? he is waay too unpredictible.

Alcaraz is playing Lehecka shortly today, he is actually looking quite good on grass
so far at Queens and its mostly top seeded players left, Fritz, Rune, Norrie, Musetti
and de Minaur who has nearly beaten Schwartzman so there are still a few contenders
for the title.

Musetti plays Rune tomorrow, really hope he can beat the Dane.

Holger Rune's second round rival, Ryan Peniston, beat him at the grass court tournament in Eastbourne last year, but the young Dane avenged the defeat by tackling flats from the English left. Lorenzo Musetti took a three-set victory over American Next Gen star Ben Shelton. Rune and Musetti have not played each other on any level, which makes this matchup even more unpredictable. An encounter that is open to surprises awaits us.

Oh - I didnt realise neither player has competed against the other, this will be the first
meeting and an unpredictable one at that. The odds on Rollbit are: Musetti 2.31 v 1.57 Rune.

Not long to wait, thats up in about 15 minutes, I might stick a sneaky bet on Musetti...

The next Quarter final is Korda v Norrie, I'm going with Korda on this one, he is having
a great return to play tournament.

Anf the final Quarter is Alcaraz v Dimitrov, I dont think Dimitrov can beat Alcaraz here...

Medvedev is knocked out so that leaves Rublev the only one that can maybe make a threat to Zverev. But i dont like how Rublev plays on grass so i think he wont be able to win and will struggle probobly with Bautista in the semi final

Quarter finals outcomes were completely against the prediction. I haven't placed bets, but the results from my prediction were different. Zverev have made direct set win, which is an expected one. Medvedev losing to Bautista isn't expected. Sinner's walkover isn't an expected one. The winning of Rublev is an expected one, he had managed to win 3-6 6-3 6-4 which is really good. Now the semifinals will be more interesting as these are second level of players which means at a best rank and not in the top position.

I'm more sorry about Sinner's injury because I think he is a strong challenger for the title and the first set was very tight and it would be a shame if he doesn't recover at Wimbledon. Medvedev's loss to Bautista Augut isn't that surprising actually even though in terms of ranking Medvedev is better but Bautista Augut is a player that can't be underestimated when on grass.
And now the home player has the chance to win this tournament, even though in the semifinals later he cannot underestimate Bublik, who is quite consistent at the moment.

Carlos Alcaraz in ATP Queen's still going and now in the semi-finals going to face Sebastian Korda, that's pretty good because he's progressing pretty well on the grass and relatively only in the first round he's had a hard time but after that, he's pretty impressive beating his opponents, and in Wimbledon later he can again become a challenger for Djokovic who is the defending champion at that Grand Slam.

Korda is playing great currently abd I'm happy for him because I've won a few bets with him
but I'm going to skip this semi final battle with Alcaraz who himself seems very strong this
year on grass, he is favourite to win that.

The second semi final is de Minaur v Rune, this one Rune should win but the odds suggest it will
be close, de Minaur 2.0 - 1.83 Rune.

In the match against Musetti yesterday Rune did receive treatment for his wrist but obviously went
on to win that match, I wonder are others doubtful on his capabilities to beat de Minaur?

In the Halle Open, Rublev winning against Bautista is much expected. Same as that Rublev won the match in direct sets 6-3 6-4.
Match between Zverev and Bublik was in favour of Bublik from the beginning and he won it in direct sets 6-3 7-5. The finals going to be close fight, however it looks like Rublev have advantage. Bublik will never let it go out of his hands, because this is the first time in 2023 he had reached the finals.

So the finals are set:

ATP Halle Bublik v Rublev
ATP London De Minaur v Alcaraz (De Minaur defeated Rune in straight sets 6:3 7:6 while Alcaraz won his semi-final versus Korda 6:3 6:4)

Some surprising results from the qualis:

ATP Eastbourne Cerundolo lost to Mansouri 4:6, 4:6
ATP Mallorca Verdasco lost to Kotov 1:6, 6:7, Vesely lost to Harris in 3 sets.

But the biggest surprise was Zverev's defeat in semi-final of Halle of course. Proves Sascha is still not ready for the top level action yet.

The biggest problem with sasha's game is his serve. Never has been consistent and that has always come back to bite him. Although he's tall and should've probably focused more on it. Alcaraz vs De Minaur should be a good final but I expect Alcaraz to come out on top. Bublik vs Rublev should be interesting but I expect Rublev to win as I think he's of a slightly higher quality than Bublik.

agree here, and with odds given @1.65 for Rublev and @1.29 boosted for Alcaraz, that seems as a nice Sunday combo

Rublev is not a grass player, but he can play, and Bublik is far from top player, been lucky against Sinner, and defeated Zverev, but didn't show much overall

Alcaraz proved that first match was just adjustment to new surface, and won all other matches without set lost, Minaur is good, but odds are as it should be

I'm really surprised to see Bublik reach the final over at Halle, I'm surprised with the odds for Rublev, I
thought he would be more favoured to win this. At 1.65 it hard to pass up on this opportunity.

de Minaur did really well against Rune, I'm happy for him but as you say Alcaraz is rightly the favourite
he looks very strong on grass so far.

I'll be betting on Rublev and Alcaraz but seperately, not a combo bet.

@CasperBGD even I’m surprised that Rublev is not the ultimate favourite to win this finale because I feel that he’ll easily crush Bublik when the match starts. Furthermore Bublik did play well to reach the finals but I’m yet not confident on his ability to beat Rublev and if he yet manages to somehow beat Rublev then this will be a very big upset for all the gamblers as I’m sure many like me are wagering on Rublev to win this final’s.

Yes, the surprises continued and finally he was able to become the champion in this tournament, and throughout his journey here it was relatively only when he beat Struff and in the final against Rublev he got quite a tight resistance, Zverev in the semifinals was even difficult to break this player's serve, and this became Bublik's second ATP title, and extraordinary achievement for a player like him because he also often appears inconsistent and this is the first ATP 500 title.

And Alcaraz at ATP Queen's was very solid, even though he looked nervous on his last serve to kill the match but he was able to control the situation quickly and only two sets, so that proved he was experiencing rapid growth

I am positive for the next weeks for Alcaraz on grass. He seems to be fit again and he won the title in the Queen's Club championship without losing a single set after the first game against Rinderknech in the round of 16. It is a relief to see him play like that on grass as I have no idea why Wimbledon should become exciting when Djokovic is peaking in performance again and everyone else is crashing. I think Alcaraz is again our last hope to deliver some entertaining tennis and hopefully a serious fight should he encounter Djokovic there again.
