Sinner vs. Altmaier. Difficult match for Sinner. Altmaier demands everything from him and could cause a small sensation with a little more power.
Some matches have unexpected results. In many matches the supposedly weaker opponent manages to win at least one set. Or Bautista for example. Lost in 5 sets against Varillas (ATP Rank 94). The odds were not so bad and one should have bet on Varillas early in set 3.

The match was interesting and took more than 5 hours, quite impressed with what was shown by the two players especially Daniel Altmaier, when finally he was able to take the 4th set, and the fifth set became so very wild for both players but Altmaier was able to take this final set even though he had looked nervous so that several match points failed to be completed, this was a very emotional victory for the non-seeded players.
When we see the seeded players being defeated by the non-seeded players through a very tight match, it's a fun thing because the match went very interesting, so this competition does not always have seeded players even though in the end it is still the seed who will become the champion.

But it was a really hard-fought victory by Altmaier. He took his opponent into deep water. This was a test of temperament and character for both of them.

In the end, it was really great to see Altmaier come away with a win from this match. Even though he was certainly a little nervous, he did not let the nervousness get to him. Unexpected result but these are the type of matches that I am actually happy to be on the wrong end of the prediction.

Sinner have done the best, but it wasn't his day. I haven't watched the match and it could've been very interesting and increased the pressure. Three tie breaker sets and the match have went till the 5^th set. Both the young players would've been very tired. Anyhow the progress of Altmaier is applicable, other than the third set every set is a close fight 7⁷-6⁰ 6⁷-7⁹ 6-1 6⁴-7⁷ 5-7.

Today Karen Khachanov vs Thanasi Kokkinakis will be an exciting match because the two players have something in common which is that they are often inconsistent, Karen is the favorite in this match but Thanasi will try to make this match his own.
Also the Djokovic vs Fokina match might not be easy for Novak, Fokina has a chance to stop Djokovic's move, considering he has quite good experience when he beat the 3rd seed in this tournament in Monte Carlo last year, but Novak was quite consistent when he was in the Grand Slam so that Fokina's chances of beating her opponent are not that big.

That was a close match. After set 3 I thought that was it. But then Altmaier came back with a great performance. I cant remember ever betting on Davidovic Fokina, he is very talented and has a lot
of skills but his mental strength is not as good as many others and especially over

Got some insider info yesterday that Djokovic had some issues with his neck so I didn't bet on him v Davidovich Fokina. Anyway, Djokovic is known to be an arrogant pr*ck and a real arsehole in the tennis world. Despite winning lots of tournaments, including GS titles he failed to win the hearts of tennis fans. He is lagging behind in popularity behind Rafa and Roger and all his efforts to match them are in vain. He looks so artificial in whatever he's doing to increase his popularity. Shy Rafa and well-mannered majestic Roger leave him no chance.

I wouldn't even be too harsh with him myself about the COVID vaccine story although I never really fully understood him, but that was his choice and he had to bear the consequences. A problem is when he touches upon highly controversial political topics. When he says that everyone is entitled to their opinion, he is right, but he can share it "privately" on one of his own social media channels and not get a shitstorm going intentionally. But by now I think I have learned that he is this kind of guy who needs it. Even to that is some truth when people say that hate makes them stronger. But Federer and Nadal are the 180°s opposite. Which I think is good as you don't want too many Djokovic-like characters and this is not by any means meant to discredit his achievements as a tennis player. I want to see him against Alcaraz. Alcaraz has a 4-0 head to head lead against Tsitsipas, who would be his opponent next, and a 1-0 lead agains Djokovic who would be his opponent in the semifinal. That would finally be one of those tennis thrillers again that would keep me watching for five hours straight.
