Some of today's matches that I predict will be quite tight, Rune vs Cerundolo and Jarry vs Ruud, even I think for the Jarry vs Ruud match there will be a seeded chance to lose because Jarry as an unseeded player has had quite an impressive appearance in several clay tournaments this year, Ruud who those who haven't shown their best performance will face enough difficulties against Jarry's big serve, and the Rune vs Cerundolo match will be a balanced match if Cerundolo plays at his best level like when he beat Fritz.

Yes - of the 4 matches yesterday Tsitsipas and Djokovic had what seemed easy draws
against Of er and Varillas which is reflected on the scores.

The other two Alcaraz and Khachanov had tougher draws but it was Alcaraz who made
it look easy against Musetti who is a very very good player.

Today Rune and Ruud should progress but Nishioka v Etcheverry I wouldnt know which
way to bet on that and Dimitrov v Zverev is the same - difficult choices...

Rune and Ruud actually have really though opponents and while I expect them to pass I also expect it to be really hard, maybe even 5 setters. Those 2 matches are quite difficult for me to call and find value to place a bet on. Went with over games on both. Rune - Cerundolo will be one hell of the match, if you can watch just one today try to make it that one.

Dimitrov should take at least one set against Zverev so that is easy bet for me. Same goes for Etcheverry. I am thinking he could even 3:0 against Nishioka but I took more save -1.5 sets handicap.

right now Nadal is also injured and get a surgery. I don't think he will be able to play in 5-6 months at least.
However he is a strong player but "an old one"... and not "fit" to compete in some big tournaments.

Alcaraz is performing very well in this RG. Today against Musetti he has been superlative. Another player that I like a lot is Tsitsipas.
Against Ofner today has offered a great performance (7-5 6-3 6-0). Well Ofner is not a top player but he was enough "insidious" during the match (likewise in first set were he was in advantage for 1 breakpoint from the first game...)

Rafael Nadal is a good player. He is still a very decent player and far above average. But as we all agree that he is just old and not one of the best anymore, to be honest. I wouldn't have said that but the injuries are making him more and more obsolete.

Alcaraz is in good form right now. He is beating almost anyone. If he can continue in this way I don't think you will have any problem trying to beat any opponent. Of course, the matches against Tsitsipas and some others are going to be a lot harder.

Rune vs Cerundolo is going to start a few minutes from now. I personally believe that in this match Rune should be able to win.

Ruud should be able to win in the other match. But of course, prediction is not something that is 100% accurate. I actually agree that Jarry might have some chance to win. But of course, for that to happen Jarry will have to be on the absolute top of his game. The same goes for Cerundolo. Both of them know what they are up against and they cannot make any mistake at all.

The quarter-finals match I am most looking forward to seeing is on the women's side of the French Open tomorrow.
This is the Svitolina vs Sabalenka match since I think Elina said in a post match interview over the weekend she won't shake hands at the end of the match.
That would be putting the WTA in an awkward situation because that is sportsmanship and customary to do so after every match at Rolland Garros.

It was not like a walk in the park for Ruud, but he won in 3 sets.
I do not see Cerundolo as someone who will manage to play over 5 sets against Rune. Rune is the favourite in this match. It will not be an easy match for him, but 5 sets? I do not think so.

Etcheverry has more experience on clay. Nishioka has only won 3 times on clay since 2014. So I see more advantages for Nishioka here, although Nishioka are more talented.

Winning day for you. Ruud @3.5 is good odd and he have already won the match, 7⁷-6³ 7-5 7-5. Much comfortable win for Ruud. Maybe if the opening set have been won by Jarry, then the match could've gone much closer. The previous encounter between the two took place in the Geneva Open, and Jarry won the match, 3-6 7⁷-6² 7-5. Maybe based on the previous match the odds could've been kept high.

Casper Ruud won easily against jarry which was expected and now we have a total war going on between Rune and cerundolo the score is currently 2 2 and the last set seem to be going in Rune favor since he only need to win his serve so he can make it to the quarter finals but with this performance i doubt he can beat alcaraz or djokovic.

Thats really a big match and the liveliness of the match could've lasted till the last moment of the match. First and the final set of the match have reached the tie breaker. Both the tie breaker sets were won by Rune. Cerundolo is no down in any means, once after the first set he made a good comeback and once again unable to win the tie breaker to win the match, 7⁷-6³ 3-6 6-4 1-6 7¹⁰-6⁷. Two more matches in the fourth round is left, one is between Dimitrov vs Zverev and the other is between Etcheverry and Nishioka.

I don't know how confident you picked both the odds. Both Ruud and Etcheverry have won the match. The match between Ruud and Jarry had some close fight. In the match between Etcheverry and Nishioka it is completely one sided, only the first set of the match reached the tie breaker. Finally Etcheverry have reached the quarter finals after the 7¹⁰-6⁸ 6-0 6-1 against Nishioka.

Meanwhile the match between Dimitrov and Zverev was completely dominated by Zverev from the beginning and he have reached the quarter finals. Straight sets win from Zverev, 6-1 6-4 6-3. Many predicted this to be a tough match as both were equally strong in performance.

Zverev is the winner of this match and he was able to win quite easily in the end. He took all three steps very easily and convincingly 6-1, 6-4, 6-3. This was a very good performance from Zverev. Dimitrov tried to actually get something out of the match. But he was not able to actually get even one set. There was a slight hiccup for Zverev from time to time but that was nothing major.

I do not see Cerundolo as someone who will manage to play over 5 sets against Rune. Rune is the favourite in this match. It will not be an easy match for him, but 5 sets? I do not think so.

Cerendulo was able to makes this match into 5 sets after set 4 could take it relatively easily, the fifth set was a very tight match and Cerendulo almost made it his win but the last two point tie break that Rune got due to a mistake by Cerendulo, so the quarterfinals will be pitted against two Danish tennis player Rune vs Ruud.

These two matches ended quite quickly with only needing 3 sets and Zverev and Etcheverry will be in the quarterfinals, and all the players who make it to the quarterfinals are only Etcheverry who is unseeded and Zverev will face him in Wednesday's match.

In the women's section, one of the quarterfinals that really caught my attention was Svitolina vs Sabalekna, this was Svitolina's first Grand Slam quarterfinal after a long break from her tennis career. I know it's not easy to stop Sabalenka because she's quite a complete player but anything can happen.

Rafael Nadal has certainly become too old. I know this is going to sound really bad and hateful but I honestly think that Rafael Nadal should retire from his professional career. He is not going to achieve much at this stage and also after so many injuries. It will be a good decision for him to retire because he still has a long life to live after his career. And remember he will have to endure the pain that he is going through for the rest of his life because of these injuries. These surgeries are going to have some effect on his body in the latter stages of his life.
Djokovic certainly has the chance in my opinion. But he does have some good competition as well.

Always hard for anyone to retire from something you love, but when you take Federer or Nadal as examples, these guys also have built decades of relationship with their fans. They weren't just playing, winning and then walking off court and that was it for the day or night. They deeply know that they will miss all these people who carried them through their entire career and that part of their emotions I think is really hard to overcome when you decide to make the final step and say goodbye.

But I agree that most likely any tournament that Nadal will play from now on is not going to end well for him and in this year's French Open he might have even get destroyed by Djokovic, which would have been bad. If it had been against Alcaraz, he could have said that he is forwarding the torch to him to defend their era on clay. Amazing what Alcaraz is playing on clay.

I understand that it is hard for any athlete or player to retire. Especially after a career like this. It's like they are home when they are playing. All good things must come to an end. He will have to retire eventually. It will be better for him if he starts thinking about his health from now on and retires early. At this stage, it is not going to be an early retirement. But I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

I also agree that there is a high chance that he is going to get destroyed by other players who are actually better than him in the current situation. Maybe he needs a final go at things to say goodbye to his fans.

Nadal has been thinking about his health for many years now or otherwise he wouldn't have made it so far in the first place. He started by reducing the number of tournament per year significantly over the years. But I acknowledge that I didn't expect him to win the French Open so often even after being injured all the time. That is when he proved a lot of people and experts wrong all the time, but this time feels different I think. But saying that he missed the golden opportunity to retire is also wrong. He gave himself the time to figure out whether there is still energy left for a few tournaments. That is normal and he didn't rush anything recently. As hard as it was for his fans to see him pulling out of the French Open, it was at least as hard for himself. But still he didn't take the risk and that is a sign that he thoroughly checks his options. It wouldn't be a shocker anymore if a Tweet comes very soon stating that his career is over.

Thats was an unbelievable result, I know Trofo mentioned that neither Rune or Ruud
would have an easy day but Rune in particular had a tough 5 setter. I really thought
Rune would have made it easier but well done to Cerundolo for taking the match
to the limit, losing in the tie break.

Now again we see Rune v Ruud, lets see if Ruud can get payback for his loss to
Rune at the Rome semi Final? he is slight favourite and thats where my bet is going.

I'm doing really well on RG this season, so I have some budget available for crazy stuff
I'll go with Khachanov today, the odds are almost 8 and Đoković does look solid, but not nearly as good as he used to.

Khachanov can make this difficult for Novak and the odds make sense to give it a try.

On a more serious ticket I'll go with +6,5 on Tsitsipas vs Alcaraz.
