There are several matches that will soon start in ATP Singles.
I was interested in one match between Lorenzo Sonego against Aslan Karatsev and I decided to bet on Lorenzo Sonego because so far I noticed he was playing quite well even if he got this far.
I kind of assume that Aslan Karatsev will struggle a bit later to fight Lorenzo Sonego.

Djokovic' on-grass win rate is at 85.83% and then from the active players who are going to play Wimbledon the next one is Bautista Agut with 69.59%. After that come Gasquet and Kyrgios and considering how strong Djokovic is right now, he is well set to increase his GS title count further this year. I guess only some kind of black out could stop him.
as it looks now, this season look as better chance for Djokovic to win all GS's than in 2021, when he lost final to Medvedev at US Open
and on Wimbledon, looking at form and participants, he is a main favorite, really can't see who can win over him in London

maybe there will be a surprise, but doesn't look were likely to be honest, it is just that he will probably not play any tournament on grass before Wimbledon, but he is experienced enough not to lose in first few rounds, no matter opponent

Novak Djokovic is on a good run right now. He is playing really well, and I think we can see that he does not think of himself as an old player. I really liked his idea when he said that 35 is the new 25  Grin. Anyway, I think he is performing really well right now. I also cannot see anyone who will actually be able to beat him.

I don’t think there will be any surprises. I understand it is not that easy to predict. Because things can go wrong easily at any moment. But the way he is playing right now it is going to be an educated guess to say that he is going to have a fairly good performance and he is also going to be consistent.

berrettini retired from Queen's Club Championship! The former winner of Wimbledon has not been able to play this tournament.
Bad news for him and all supporters. It seems the player has hit a loong streak of defeat and retirements.
Now he is at 34 place in ATP (last place was 21th). I think this an interesting data for all gamblers.
First of all, he is now in bad shape so it's could be interested bet against him.
Secondly, when he will come back to play as usual, this can be a bargain chance...
But... we don't know "when"... so let's wait.
Interesting fact Roll Eyes (like we have seen with Tsitsi)... he starts to play bad after he has get officially linked to "Melissa Satta" a famous italian starlet.

over at Queens - Murray will be playing de Minaur today, thats a tough draw for him but
I think the markets really dont know, the odds are even really, 1.86 to 1.88... I think I will
make a bet on Murray, he is playing in good form ATM.

Tiafoe also plays today in an easy enough draw against Van de Zandschulp, he
should win this one at 1.45.
Both were disappointing. Andy Murray who had been with his consecutive wins have lost to de Minaur 6-3 6-1 in a much easier way, kind of one sided game. The young player of Australia have defeated Andy Murray during the Monte Carlo Masters in the same way.

Tiafoe have made it a winning match against Van de Zandschulp 6-2 6-4. Tiafoe to play against his home country player Korda in the group of 16. Winning the match makes him reach the quarter finals where the competence will be at its best.

Wu looks to be an interesting player this year. He lost to Rublev in Halle, but he did not make it so easy for him. Let see how he develops.

Zverev - Thiem. Clear victory for Zverev. The next match is against Shapovalov. I am curious to see how Zverev performs. He is a bit too big for the grass court matches. At almost two metres he has to do all the movevents a bit lower because the ball does not bounce so high.

Yea Queens is a big step up from Challenger level, which is where Murray is currently
at, luckily I didnt bet on him today.

I did bet on Tiafoe though, it was an easy enough win today for him, van de Zandschulp
is really not performing well this year.

Tiafoe should beat Korda tomorrow even though Korda is building his performance but
I think he still has a bit more to go.

Alcaraz v Rinderknech was a very entertaining match today. Alcaraz lost the first set 4:6 but then managed to win 7:5 and finally won the deciding set on a tie-break 7:6. The Frenchman was using his nice and powerful serve a lot, he also played serve and volley and lots of net play in general. This tactics was genius and Alcaraz mostly couldn't come up with any successful response. In the tie-breaker, Alcaraz proved he's world's #2 for a reason getting into the lead 6:1 and eventually winning 7:3.

Meanhile in Birmingham, 43yo(!!!) Venus Williams won her first round match against Camilla Giorgi. It's unbelievable how Venus can be competitive at this age! I've heard somewhere it's her first 1st round win in 2 years time! Impressive. Cool Unfortunately, there was a nasty incident during the match, when Venus fell down and Giorgi yelled "come on".  Shocked

That's an incredible comeback and it proves the ability of Alcaraz. The young man tries to understand well about the court in the first set and makes his moves accordingly. This time Alcaraz had struggled hard to beat Rinderknech, and I'm sure the competence from Rinderknech will keep him prepared to face other players.

After a long break she gave her entry in the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships. Here she lost the match to Celine Naef after winning the first set. She is really great to play at this age, and how her fitness is supporting. In the next match she is to play against Ostapenko. This is going to be really though for Venus as the contender is one among the strongest and young player.

I thought Alcaraz would lose after early in the third set his opponent managed to break serve to lead 2-0 immediately. Alcaraz is improving quite good on this surface but I'm not sure he will make it to the final or even the championship, next he will face Jiří Lehečka, and it seems the two have never met each other because I can't find history from H2H but if Alcaraz does better he will win this match.

ATP Halle, Struff is back doing quite impressive things, the public will really support him to go further or to get his first ATP title but he has to go through some tough matches and he is same draw with another German Zverev.

It was a great match. And the finish of this match was even greater. There was a genuine chance for Alcaraz Garfia to actually lose this match. But I have to say he did really well. Of course, this also shows the potential that he has. Sometimes coming back into a match like this where your opponent is actually performing well is often a little tricky. But once again this performance shows why he is one of the worlds best. And the last set was absolutely incredible from Alcatraz. There were a lot of moments when I thought he was actually going to lose, but he was able to overcome all the problems.

ATP Halle, Struff is back doing quite impressive things, the public will really support him to go further or to get his first ATP title but he has to go through some tough matches and he is same draw with another German Zverev.

Those were good games from Struff and Zverev and both are deserved to be one round further. It is just a pity that the two could meet in the semi-final. Zverev will play against Jarry. Jarry won surprisingly against Tsitsipas.
In the other group Medvedev and Bautista will play against each other. Medvedev is the favourite here and will probably reach the next round.

Aaand, Tsitsi does it again (or doesn't do it again). cryptofrka mentioned elsewhere that he isn't to be trusted on grass, but it's a meek, meek outing from him anyway. Actually had the gall to pick him for a finalist elsewhere on BSFL (you guys who're active here but not there keen on that?) but fortunately for me, him losing didn't matter for me. So much for trying to be smart.

Beginning to think it might be wise to put a few quid here and there against Alcaraz and Djoko now...

Struff on grass is a new player. He plays really well and so far going really far in all of the tournaments. The intresting match will be between him and Bublik ,both players serve really well and i think we might see a few tie breaks in this match. Also Tsitsipas is so far really bad on grass

Before we see Struff vs Zverev, we must first see them beat Bublik and Jarry, Struff vs Bublik are still pretty sure this German player can win if he stays consistent and what is doubtful is Zverev vs Jarry, Jarry was very good at beating Tsitsipas though Tsitsipas on grass isn't great but Zverev on grass isn't anything special either and he hasn't shown anything impressive so far, but if the two Germans met in the semis I would still go with Struff.

Alcaraz is playing Lehecka shortly today, he is actually looking quite good on grass

and de Minaur who has nearly beaten Schwartzman so there are still a few contenders
for the title.

Musetti plays Rune tomorrow, really hope he can beat the Dane.

Zverev breezed past Shapovalov 6:2, 6:4. Does it mean Sascha is regaining form or just Shapovalov was that bad? His results this season are abysmal so far. Sinner had a tough encounter with Sonego, barely making it in 3 hours time 6:7, 6:4, 6:4.

Bublik v Struff under way now 2:2 no breaks so far.

WTA Berlin Sabalenka v Koudermetova, the Russian was ahead 4:0 in the first set with 2 breaks.

Matches to watch out for:

Rublev v Hanfmann Easy win predicted for a Russian against a German wildcard.
Griekspoor v Hurkacz  Same here, easy bet on an in-form Pole.

Tsitsipas is indeed too unpredictable to consistently place bets on. He is a great talent and will probably win one or more grandslams but you never know with him. A bit similar with Kyrgios allthough he has even more talent (in my eyes) but it is a more a mental challenge for him; it will be interesting to see how far Kyrgios can reach this year. Last year, for the first time ever in his career, he reached the final on a grandslam so why not do even better this year.

BIG WINNER!

Shapovalov is really bad this year and continues to play bad. He should be good on grass with his serve but just cannot play st a good level. Everyone expected from him to already be in top 10 but he is miles away from it. Bublik with an impresive win over Struff and like i said before in the thread we might see a tie break and it happened.

Sinner scraped past but oo did Struff give himself a hard time in bowing out. Fritz also bombed at Queen's. Not sure why I'm still idling by and not pulling any underdog triggers heh. Alcaraz through easy.

Tsitsipas - ah man are you still betting on him? he is waay too unpredictible.

Only if he's the underdog and odds are of value -- have learnt my lesson for sure about putting money on him but still hard to ignore his rating when considering how far he might go in a draw where he does seem far superior on paper.

Holger Rune's second round rival, Ryan Peniston, beat him at the grass court tournament in Eastbourne last year, but the young Dane avenged the defeat by tackling flats from the English left. Lorenzo Musetti took a three-set victory over American Next Gen star Ben Shelton. Rune and Musetti have not played each other on any level, which makes this matchup even more unpredictable. An encounter that is open to surprises awaits us.

~snip

That is the thing, who is going to stop Djokovic? He is strong on grass and these days we can also see some of the better players struggle on grass like Tsitsipas. To stop Djokovic someone has to play above their normal level and Djokovic should only be able to play at 80% because even at 90% he would still be the superior player in the current participant field. Is he even preparing? Or is he just skipping all those "minor" grass tours and goes straight to Wimbledon? He isn't lacking confidence Tongue
