Who do you guys think is going to win Miami's tournament ? I would love to hear what you guys think, so far I'm guessing it could be Alexander Zverev, the odds are pretty high @5, Medvedev the favorite is not doing well this year and I don't think he's going to win this, also Zverev did not win a big one in a long time, this could be his chance to do so, if his serve is on point it is hard for him to lose.
Not really confident but my money would go towards Kyrgios or Alcaraz, probably not gonna happen but both of them can take it and odds are really good. I never make bets on outright winners since there is much more money to be made if you back them in every single match. Those are the guys I am keeping my eye on and betting every round. I have Alcaraz to win 2:0 against Cilic today @1.75.
I can't say that I'm really confident but it's his time to shine, Alcaraz is still young he has to face a lot of good players before reaching Zverev, I just know that Medvedev is out of it, he's not as good as he was, so I am not counting the favorite to win it, and since we've seen fritz win a big atp win lately I don't expect to see another big surprise like kyrgios, Alcaraz can make it though I can't deny that, but I feel like Zverev won big tournaments before and he can do it again here for sure.

Zverev, Tsitsipas, Medvedev are my favs for the tournament and I think its highly likely that one of the 3 wins it. Alcaraz has been a beast so far and I can only imagine how strong of a contender and if he manages to stay injury free. He has the game to stay in the world top 10 for a decade at least. It is Alcaraz vs Tsitsipas next which is going to be a fun watch.

^^ It will be a great match vs Alcaraz and Tsitsipas. It could even go to 3 sets, Alcaraz though is the favorite at ML.

But I will be going for Alcaraz by handicap -2.5 (1.83). I think he can easily covered this score. Although Tsitsipas will make it close, but with the way Alcaraz is playing this year, it's hard to stop him at this point.

Medvedev the favorite is not doing well this year

I just know that Medvedev is out of it, he's not as good as he was

I'm not sure what makes you think that, I have the opposite opinion. I think Medvedev has been great this year. He got to the AO final and lost a 5-setter to an inspired Nadal, and got knocked out of another tournament by Nadal again after that. His only real surprise defeat was Indian Wells against Monfils, other than that he's been winning every match, and has been better than anyone in the world except Nadal.

Alcaraz ML @1.55 - medium stake
Kyrgios ML @1.50 - high stake
Fritz ML@ 1.6 - high stake
Combined @3.72 - low stake,  good enough for me

Kyrgios is down at the moment, 0:1, and break for Sinner in second set
have you watch Kecmanovic on this tournament, I know that Fritz won Indian Wells, haven't watch matches on both tournaments, but local press is saying that Kecmanovic is playing very well, not sure that Fritz will get that easily, especially since he is tired, not usual for him to play three weeks in a row, ten matches

Alcaraz should win, I can see him as no.1 prior to Medvedev, and speaking on him, he is also down by a break in first set

Kyrgios down....and out

After losing the tie break in the first set he totally lost his emotions,
and it was game over, I had him to win but didnt bother with the
handicap on sinner. I tried to cash out right after the first set but
the markets had closed on this rightly so

I just cannot believe he lost it after losing the tie break, its as if his
belief evaporated r as a commentator said before its as if thats his
saety net, blaming other factors, the court, the chair umpire or whatever,
he believes when he is losing the match is lost.

He received firstly a point penalty, then a game penalty and that was
enough for him to secure his loss without his actual tenis being called
into question.

I wont be betting on him again, waaay to risky.

So just an usual Kyrgios breakdown, when everybody is guilty after he looses a couple of 50:50 points, classic Smiley I lost my bet but I can't be mad at him, it is just what he is. Top player when things go his way and very prone to loosing his cool when the opposite happens.

have you watch Kecmanovic on this tournament, I know that Fritz won Indian Wells, haven't watch matches on both tournaments, but local press is saying that Kecmanovic is playing very well, not sure that Fritz will get that easily, especially since he is tired, not usual for him to play three weeks in a row, ten matches
Did not consider fatigue factor for Fritz. I watched him a lot in IW and he looked really good. Made my bet expecting he will keep that level of performance. Never liked Kecmanovic much, he is just one of those players that are sort of meh. Nothing to really set him apart, like some great shot or counter play. I think he is strong mentally though and that gets you a long way in tennis.

Alcaraz ML @1.55 - medium stake
Kyrgios ML @1.50 - high stake
Fritz ML@ 1.6 - high stake
Combined @3.72 - low stake,  good enough for me

Looks like Tsitsipas is doing good in the first set, having break Alcaraz already and it's going to be close but I think Tsitsipas will win the first set with at least a 2 point advantage.

And for Alcaraz to obviously win, he has to comeback and win the last 2 sets if he wanted to stay in the tournament and to cover the spread.

Edit: Alcaraz coming back and break Tsitsipas in the 9th game, he is serving now to try to even it out 5-5.

Edit2: Alcaraz comes back from a 5-3 down to win the first set 7-5.

Both of our original posts can be described as "comments that did not age well". Alcaraz the only one that won from my selection and he was the smallest bet unfortunately.

Looks like it was good battle against Tsitsipas, too bad match was during the night for me so I could not watch it.

it is pretty usual in tennis, have you watched Medvedev against Broonsky, it was 3:5 and 15:30 for Broonsky in first set, and he lost important point for 15:40, instead it was 30:30, and he was completely down
after that point, he won just one game, match finished 7:5, 6:1 for Medvedev, and he actually did not play any better in second set, compared to first

Alcaraz is a good pick against Kecmanovic

^^ It will be a great match vs Alcaraz and Tsitsipas. It could even go to 3 sets, Alcaraz though is the favorite at ML.

But I will be going for Alcaraz by handicap -2.5 (1.83). I think he can easily covered this score. Although Tsitsipas will make it close, but with the way Alcaraz is playing this year, it's hard to stop him at this point.
I was hoping Tsitsipas will be favorite and that I will be able to place bet on Alcaraz +2.5 at that odds. This way it is no bet for me in handicaps. I am keeping it simple with ML today.

Good win by Alcaraz, as expected, Tsitsipas is already fading, not surprised that his standing will go down this year.

I want to shift my attention on the ladies now:

Badosa vs Pegula - I will pick Badosa -2.5.

I think Badosa can have this one in the bag in 2 sets.

I also saw that Sinner is the underdog against Nick Kyrgios. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to bet on Jannik and it should be an easy W. But in any case, a lot of good matches, Sinner vs Cerundolo. The game might probably Under 20.5. And then Zverev vs Ruud, Zverev -3.5 in their match.

On the women's side, it's nice to see Osaka back where she belongs, winning matches.
New world number one Swiatek seems to be steamrollering everyone, and is deservedly the favourite, but Osaka hasn't dropped a set yet, either.
I'd fancy these two to meet in the final, with underdog Osaka to continue her comeback and win it.

Yes Swiatek I believe has become more aggressive in her play which is making a big

But really surprised how Sinner took this and didnt effect him at all he just was patient and waited. He might even win this tournament out of nowhere

Some major upsets today and retirements of two match which I started watching because I had placed bets on them but didn't get past game 5 of the first set.
Sinner & Badosa both retired after being down 4-1 in their matches first sets. Sinner was due to blisters on his feet so it was too uncomfortable for him to continue to go on and for Badosa, nobody really knows.
Some say it was due to illness others have said it was from soreness to he leg suffered in a previous match.
https://tennisuptodate.com/wta/paula-badosa-retires-against-pegula-in-miami-after-20-minutes-of-play

The biggest upset in the men's play today has got to be Casper Ruud taking down Zverev in three sets.
https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/badosa-sinner-retire-early-miami-open-action-cut-short-2022-03-30

Francisco Cerundolo who played against Jannik Sinner was playing in his debut to a Master 1000 series match so this was a huge accomplishment to him.

Honestly, I'm not used to betting in tennis, but I often watch tennis tournaments like Jessica and Swiatek, you could say they are both tennis players who have great abilities, but today I saw on one of the gambling sites their names were uploaded for tomorrow's match, Jessica Pegula vs. Iga Swiatek.

However, from several prediction sites between Jessica Pegula vs. Iga Swiatek in tomorrow's meeting is very difficult to determine who wins and loses, logically their duel in the tennis tournament tomorrow not many sites assume they lost, this makes me a little confused.

Of course, maybe there is someone here who is more familiar with the two of them, so my question is which one of them do you think is the strongest in tomorrow's duel, Jessica or Swiatek, maybe I'll consider making a bet for them tomorrow.

Yes Swiatek I believe has become more aggressive in her play which is making a big
difference. Osaka is still my favourite player on the womens side and is going
very well especially after what happened at Indian Wells not so very long ago, she has
bounced back hard.
I am very hesitant to place bets on WTA side of the tournament at this stage. For instance Swiatek is playing Kvitova today and should win comfortably but this match will probably end up being decided on Kvitova racquet. Osaka is playing great, but who knows when somebody in audience can trigger her breakdown again? I hope it will not happen but don't want to risk my money on it either.

I know what you mean about the WTA, its very open...But currently we seem to be
seeing consistent performances from Swiatek and Sakkari and maybe Osaka
if she can get over some of the mental issues she has can make her claim on the
top spot. I had Swiatek to win against Kvitova yesterday and she won handily enough.

The biggest upset in the men's play today has got to be Casper Ruud taking down Zverev in three sets.

Yea two upsets alright, am I right in saying Ruud has beaten Zverev twice before?
I thought I heard a commentator saying that yesterday....

I had Sinner to win yesterday and when he was broken the odds went to 1.5 so I went
again on him, then about 5 minutes later he retired. That Cerundolo guy looks really good.
