Alex De Minaur as 11 seed was upset Nishioka of Japan. And Rune destroys Paire in 2 easy sets.

Another upset is Hurcacz, he is the number 2 seed but he was badly beaten by E. Ruusuvuori.

Lots of good matches to watch later, Kyrgios vs Opelka is one, Rublev vs Cressy.

In the ladies side, top seed Pegula was ousted by Gavrilova, 5-7, 4-6.

Match between Kyrgios and Opelka will be pretty intresting due to both players have an amazing serve,it might be boring until we see a tie break but it will be nice to see what can happen. Rune also finally wins and breaks his losing streak,he destroyed Paire and this might be the boost he needed.

Nick is leading Opelka, 7-6, 2-1 before the match has been suspended. Not the only one though, 2 other matches as well because of the lightning.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Rune losing streak, I think we have discussed it so finally he won a match and it's just unfortunate that it will be against Paire (although he is only on a bad form lately and very inconsistent)

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Kyrgios won the match against Paul. He was very focused in this match as well. Just like last year he wants to get to the final in Washington again. If he keeps playing like this, I think it is realistic. The first set was decided in a tiebreak as predicted from Kemarit. I will be curious to see when it starts again and if Kyrgios are still focused.

Kyrgios really picked up his form since Wimbledon and looks a lot more serious then before. If he continues to dominate like this against his opponents i dont see anyone stopping him. For me he is the main favorite to win Washington this year

Yea he seems to have carried his performance from Wimbledon. I havent seen
any of his matches or even the highlights. Has he been carrying on with his complaining
and giving out as well?

Up next for him is Tiafoe in the quarter finals, could be a tricky match.

I cant believe I have been betting on Nick, he is making Satoshi's for me! I dont
know how to bet on his quarter final.

Right, not sure what happen to Nick but it was a complete U-turn as he is really performing great that we have never seen from him in the last 2-3 years.

Well if he is making satoshis for us then why break it? I will probably go and continue to bet on him until his winning streak ends. And maybe he can go and continue into the finals because of the momentum from Wimbledon showing.

Paul Kyrgios won by leaving behind has won Kyrgios is expected to be very strong going into the finals as looking back over the past few days one can definitely see that his game has changed a lot. The game has changed so much that you can definitely predict the final because Paul has come forward and definitely the final match I think they will be in.

Nick kyrgios performance look really solid he has beating easily some good players in hard courts such as tommy paul and opelka, i think that if he manage to beat tiafoe he will win the tournament easily which i think will likely happen he has been really good recently first by reaching wimbeldon and now by make in it to the semi final easily.

I think we are seeing Kyrgios more because there is less competition for him, top 10 players aren't really playing that much tournaments, a lot of them are getting injured, taking rests, deciding to not play, so this is what made Kyrgios shine in my opinion, and he's a moody player so I expect him to not keep playing the same level for a long time.

Could be but you can't still discount that fact that he has a tremendous year, he reached the Wimbledon finals and face Djokovic, although he lost that is a top 10 players. We could have witnessed a great fight between him and Nadal, unfortunately, Rafa is injured. But he beat Tsitsipas along the way, another top player, but you can argue that he is more of a clay court player, but still. Could be tricky match against Tiafoe @aoluain said, but maybe, just maybe could go down in 3 sets for Nick.

And 3 sets it was! first two sets were very close, both tie breaks but it looks like Tiafoe
fell away in the third set.

Mikael Ymer us playing fantastic and after beating Korda! is into a semi final to face Nick.

The other semi is Rublev1 v Nishioka.

I would like to think it will be a Kyrgios v Rublev final.

Yeah, possible that it could be Rublev vs Kyrgios in the mens finals.

Another disappointing run for Emma Raducanu as she lost to No 60 Liudmilla Samsonova, 7-6, 6-1.

Somehow it is unfortunate that Kyrgios behaves very unprofessionally very often. I think that comes at the expense of his level. Okay, he recently made it to a Wimbledon final, but someone with his talent should have won a Grand Slam tournament at least once. But that's in his personality. He used to be seen as one of the greatest talents and the potential number 1 in the world but I don't think that will happen anymore. I wonder if he will ever win a Grand Slam again. There are a lot of people who don't like him but he is loved by the vast majority of the public because he always entertains the crowd during the matches.

Right, we have debated that here in this thread, there are a lot of what if on Nick. He has the talent indeed, but he wasted so many opportunities and could have won at least 1 Grand Slam already if not for his attitude inside and outside of the court.

Nevertheless that is his personality, maybe it is true that he doesn't care about this career. Or maybe it is now that he realized as he mature that he has to at least accept the fact that winning is achievable and that he can be a great player.

It seems that medvedev is going to win the los cobos tournament he is really looking in top shape that semi final win against kecmanovic was well deserved he dominated that game especially the second set, he had 12 aces and he only lost one serve all game long, he will face norrie in the final but since it is a hard court i think medvedev will win comfortably.

The match gonna start in few hours. I don't think this going to be an easy win for Medvedev. Norrie have reached the final winning against one of the young player Felix Augur. Reaching the finals Medvedev have once again confirmed his position. Medvedev leads the track on head to head, with a win in the Shanghai Masters 6-3 6-1

Citi Open between Kyrgios and Ymer, good that I was able to catch it right now, (just woke up).

Score is tie 6-6 and they are going into a tie break, both players are playing very well and this could be very well ended up in another dramatic 3 sets win.

So let's see how things goes, I'm still on the Kyrgios band wagon, Over 22.5.

Nick got the job done in 2 sets! he is playing really well. To answer my own questions
about him from earlier, yes he is still the same shouty and argumentative Kyrgios but
on the other hand he seems way more focussed. I watched the full highlights
of his match with Tiafoe. His service game is working fantastically.

In the other semi, Rublev lost to Nishioka. I dont think Nishioka is going to beat Kyrgios.

-snip

Medvedev leads the track on head to head, with a win in the Shanghai Masters 6-3 6-1

Norrie crashed in second set, after losing first 5:7, and it was an easy win for Medvedev in the end

now we have better tournaments to go, with Montreal, Cinncinaty and US Open to close-out north american tour
Kyrgios is also in great shape after Wimbledon final, and could see top10 position this year

Nick Kyrgios seems to be a changed man now. Hasn't really had a mental breakdown or loss of motivation and is a top 10 performer this year. Glad to see that he's getting things straight and is remaining focused. He is extremely talented and always puts on a show. Something similar to Monfils(whos the more athletic version of Kyrgios). If they can keep the winning mentality, the could beat literally anyone on their day.

Was out of the circulation for the last 24 hours or so, and we know that I supported Nick Kyrgios in this tournament, but damn, he really make me a believer of him right now.

He beat Ymer easy, while Rublev was crushed by Nishioka. Setting up a finals between him and Nishioka. And then winning in 2 straight sets, but I guess the best match is him against Tiafoe? what are your thoughts of his performance? is this for real moving forward?
