Bitcoin is really a relief especially for people working abroad because instead of sending it through western union or other money exchange, we send it directly to our relatives and friends with just a minimal fee. There's no need to fall in line that is usually long when it's payday and we can instead use our time in doing things beneficial to us. We can send bitcoin anytime and anywhere unlike when we send it through western union, we can only send it if we have vacant time and it's usually after office hours wherein instead of resting after working, we use our time to queue and send money that is lesser than the intended amount because of expensive transaction fees. So in all aspects, bitcoin is really better than western union.

I heard from several friends about their very bad experience with WU. They was complaining because they had to wait to long i the post office, fees was to high, sometimes they had to resend money because of some problems on WU server etc. when you compare it with BTC payments, it's not hard to decide which payment option is better

It's the worlds most efficient value transmission system, and will become even more valuable when the rate of BTC-to-BTC transactions surpasses BTC-to-FIAT transactions.

According to me personally because the transfer fee is smaller than western union. bitcoin is more simple than western union, we can have wallet without registration or give id card document etc.

bitcoin is fat better than western union in terms of fee and speed for the one who send and who receives it. But the only problem arises due to untrackable transactions making government to ban bitcoin due to risk of money laundering. If every country allow to open bitcoin exchanger than bitcoin can replace traditional money transfer services .

Bitcoin fees are indeed much smaller, however, if you want to cash out your coins to fiat for example, then a larger fee is what you will face. If you compare that to Western Union, then things look completely different. The difference will be much smaller.

and bitcoin have lot lot more features than WU. Western Union is just a payment gateway. you can send and receive money with western union. but bitcoin is not only a way to send and receive money. bitcoin it self a free and decentralized currency. I don't think we can compare bitcoin to Western Union because both are very very different with each others.

People will think, why send money with a transaction fee that is way too high. I would rather send in bitcoin so that I can use that fee to send more.

Yes the transaction fee is small compared to western union and my receiver will receive it in instant. especially my relatives are quite far here in our location i can send without going outside and if they will cash out it our local wallet has a features that you can cash out it directly to your bank without charge so its a good thing.

I'm not sure you can send money legally through Bitcoin in any country, but I'd say yes, it's better than Western union excerpt the fact that you cannot withdraw it from anywhere you want: you need special ATMs that accept Bitcoin selling. Bitcoin is anonymous, I'd use it to send money to my family or friends whenever I need to, only if I had where to spend it at.

Bitcoin and Western Union are different bro , Western Union doesnt accept Bitcoin yet. I used Western Union to transact with other people using flat money or received flat money from people using Western Union. I could not compare them yet because i used them for different purpose .

You have to be sure that you can send money legally to any country of the world without any restriction. But with western union you will not be able to send money to every country of the world but to the restricted countries according to the law of your country and for western union you will have to go to outside of the home to send or receive the money so it is not convenient like bitcoin.

Yeah! Bitcoin can be said to be better than western union considering its ease of use and convinience coupled with its unbeatable low transaction charge. Western union is not that favourable.

Aside from being cheap and fast you dont have to travel that eats your time and money for your transport fee. with Bitcoin you save your time and money since as you have said at the comfort of their homes they can send money. To the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) it is very convenient since the sender with just one click on their mobile phones can send to any remittance centers anywhere in the Philippines so their families can easily claim it.

Bitcoin has, and always will be (until there are $0.20 fees for transactions that take at most 4 hours globally) better than western union. I have never used their services to do anything personal, but based on what I have heard from my peers, some of which send money intercontinentally, and for them they don't like it when they have to use it.

It's not fair for Western Union to be compared side by side to Bitcoin. I can log in to a site that accepts Bitcoin as payment and log out and wait for my purchased item to arrive in a few days. i can't do that with Western Union, while other online sellers are accepting payments through Western Union, sellers have to wait for the money to be transmitted and confirm before they start processing the order.
