The thing about all these positive tests is that it is getting too close. I mean sure it could happen but not at this moment. I do not understand players who are so careless and just do not care about the virus, even if the league didn't started back up, they should still be careful just for themselves and people around them. It looks like this is going to be a period where the team that has the most healthy team that took care of themselves and were staying away from everyone will eventually end up champions.
If one superstar from the contenders goes out because of corona, I think league may rethink about postponing the league, I do not know how long they can or will they even cancel, but these players are acting too irresponsible to actually realize whats at stake right now for NBA as a whole.

I feel like its a self-sufficient way for the teams basically. I mean they are going to get to play the games anyway, and for example heat will play in the playoffs for sure. Of course they are sacrificing on the championship hopes but lets be honest Heat was never a contender. What this means is, they will both not pay the player their salary because they are not coming (in any other situation an injured player still gets paid, not this time though) and they are also making a profit on both the tv rights and other stuff like commercials and all that. So if your highest paid player decides not to come or just gets sick or even a regular injury before it restarts, you are not suppose to pay him, that could be even more profitable than having him unless you are contending for a title.

Another day another bad news again, Third Miami Heat player tests positive for coronavirus - report3 players were positive with covid-19 so far for the Miami heat. 1st- Derrick Jones Jr. 2nd-Not identified 3rd- Not identified But there's a good news about Derrick Jones Jr. Jones is looking to rejoin the team when the NBA restarts its season at Disney Resort in Orlando, but the other two players will not make the trip, according to reports. This is bad news for the Miami Heat, the game hasn't been resume yet and they faced this new problem. I mean, how will the other players in the team adjust with this? I think without those two players the games will not be the same as usual. They haven't named them yet they might be from the starters. I hope they can still play with all their best despite of this new problem. Derrick Jones Jr. will definitely play, he might have recovered before the season resume but these two players that were tested positive might not be able to play, or maybe their best chance is to play in the playoffs because Heat is already guaranteed with a playoff spot and their standing now is currently at number 4, and even if they will drop at number 5, it still doesn't matter as in this playoffs, there will be no home court advantage. STANDINGS - https://www.espn.com/nba/standingsActually the competition in the number 8 spot was more crucial in the West than in the East.

Exactly, because the Wizards in the East is 6 wins behind the top 8 and top 7 in the East, so they need to be perfect to get that spot, which is unlikely to happen, so I believe they will fail and there chances is only 5% or even less. In the west, it's more exciting as we have 6 teams which will compete to get or maintain its playoff spot. Dallas is already secured IMO but Memphis might fall.

I'm not aware about this, is this like a preseason before the NBA opens up their regular season? Scrimmages are like friendly games, serve as practice. So yeah, it is somewhat similar to summer league that NBA has every year. While in summer league teams mostly use bench or G league players, in these scrimmage games teams will most likely use their main players, and each team will play 3 games. Yeah, something like that. Games to heat up the players. I don't think anything will be put on record. As expected, numbers are going up. But better to get it now, then in a couple of weeks, or even worse, when playoff starts. Correct. They should put this test and results on haste. There will be a healing process and then clearance which is 14 days. It will take a lot of time. The very least they could do is speed things up so that infected players can still make it in playoffs.

Another news though, posted 4 hours ago. Report: Kings Close Facility After Positive COVID-19 Test in Traveling Party
The Sacramento Kings have reportedly closed their practice facility after a member of their traveling party tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, according to Sam Amick of The Athletic.
Per that report, the practice facility "is not expected to reopen before the team departs for Orlando on Wednesday."
Maybe these teams will just resume their practice in Orlando, expecting more news related to the covid-19 testing of the teams.

Yes, it's hard for them to get that straight winnings, their appearance to the next round needs to a lots of luck. In the west, it's more exciting as we have 6 teams which will compete to get or maintain its playoff spot. Dallas is already secured IMO but Memphis might fall.
It's interesting to watch out if who's team will complete the final 8. there are many possibilities.

It's not about the good teams but their ranking are very close compared to the East, so West is more exciting to watch once the season resumes. As you can see in the ranking, Wizards though not eliminated but they need some miracle to beat the teams in the upper position of standing and IMO it's not likely to happen. I'm expecting in the NBA Finals, the west will be the favorites, but if Lebron will face Giannis, then I think we will see a good and competitive odds.

KNICKS maybe, but Lakers, NO!, who would the Lakers trade for him, LEBRON? lol.

More like a tough spot for the remaining teams on the West, remember there were only 8 games remained to get that spot for the playoffs and I think those 6 with low wins will really have difficulty to clinch it. With teams who have few players especially there stars not to be able to play it will be tougher for them. It's exciting to watch now even on just the start of the scrimmage, I can't really wait to see it.

Yeah, not a good news as everyone is really getting exciting to see NBA again, this kind of reports will have a impact to the game again. And it seems more cases have been reported, I would say that it's really hard to see some games in this new norm. We just hope that everyone will be ok for the Bucks. It will have a big dent if it will be Giannis (hope not).

KNICKS maybe, but Lakers, NO!, who would the Lakers trade for him, LEBRON? lol. Time for CJ McCollum to shine, as long as there's Lillard, he will keep living in the shadow of Lillard. If Lilllard really want to be traded, then we can expect the Blazers to be the new team. (either an improved team or a shitty team, which I doubt) It says, he liked to be traded to the Lakers or the Knicks, I guess it's possible either of these teams, for the Lakers they definitely don't want to trade both Lebron and Davis, but maybe a bunch of bench warmers and some role players in return, who knows, but only if Blazers would agree knowing how valuable Lillard is based on his salary. Currently number 21 in the list for the highest paid players this season. http://www.espn.com/nba/salaries

KNICKS maybe, but Lakers, NO!, who would the Lakers trade for him, LEBRON? lol. It will be Green, KCP, and Kuzma which could give them a salary match according to the article. I also prefer Knicks if it will be possible. Time for CJ McCollum to shine, as long as there's Lillard, he will keep living in the shadow of Lillard.
Or worse. He will be a shadow of a new star that will be built by Portland or they could trade for someone else. That's a huge chunk of cap space for the Blazers which could be offered to a star. Someone will bite it.

Last season's CJ's performance was still fresh to me, he helped the Blazers beat the Nuggets in game 7 by dropping 37 points, that says a lot to me that he is a clutch player and the team can rely on him. Just the calculation of missed games of Zion vs games played of Ja Morant could easily tell which is the winner. We will see next year if Zion deserves that respect and praise from Lebron. Better, make the impossible. Win the games in this last 8 games then fight for the 8th seed of the playoffs. That will be something to watch. A head to head between two big expectation rookies.

The comparison is so far since Zion didn't start the season so I conclude JA will win on the ROY award, maybe on next year it's time for Zion to shine since he can prove he's worth since I'm sure he's healthy at that time. But I'm also doubting since this year rookies are promising so I conclude that they Zion will get a hard time for next year season to catch that award although there's a high expectation that he will get it by the next season.

They are not really the number 2 guys. More like the other half of the number 1. Without them, Dame and Steph will not be known as stars. Consistency, defensive and offensive awareness. Both, almost have an equal kind of game. It's just that the hype was given to the other players who showcase more entertainment rather than the silent one.
