I saw a rumor today that the Lakers are going to be giving Monta Ellis a workout for the team. I’m not sure how old he is these days, but Monta was a killer back with the Warriors in Steph’s early days. If he can still play and is motivated to go for a championship, that could be a great pickup. Hopefully he’s still got some in the tank.

Lol I wouldn't doubt it. I think they are trying to shatter the average player age record so that when they lose they will at least have that to hang their season on.  Imagine being a 20 year old rookie on that team?  Lol.

Yeah, Ellis was playing great with the Warriors, especially in the 9/10 season. The last team he played is Indiana Pacers if I'm not mistaken, and that was 4 years ago. And as per Ellis himself, he walk away from NBA because of some mental issues (perhaps he was really heartbroken after being traded from GSW).

Not sure though if Lakers if Lakers has still some roster to a veteran like Monta. Hopefully as NBA fans we always wanted to see players like him having a chance to play again and for sure Dubs nation will not forget him.

Kyrie is lucky KD has his back. Hopefully Kyrie understands now that he isn’t #1 or #2 on that team. He’s a step above role player and needs to start acting like it.

KD must have understood how useful Kyrie's talent was to the team. They were together in the playoffs and they dominated their opponents while Harden was resting due to injury, and probably he thinks that Simmons could only be a liability to the team, especially during the playoffs, however, in the end, it's still the management decision that will be followed.

He is inactive for 3 seasons, and his record on Indiana Pacers which his last team was not impressive. Well, if the Lakers will take chances then they can as Ellis would surely not demand a higher salary, and with this guy's experience, he can certainly help, I hope he still maintains playing basketball despite being out in the NBA for a while.

GSW is a scary team whenever they are healthy, we might see them pull out some big surprises next season, but let's hope Thompson will survive and will not be injured again, we badly need the splash brothers to play together and bring the GSW into a high success.

I don't know. I mean they are good, they are definitely good but are they still as good as they used to be? Curry will be great, there is no denying that and he was amazing after his return last year, dude played MVP levels very easily as well. However their SG-SF combo now is wiggins and Klay, which one will play at which position I do not know but doesn't really matter neither.

Wiggins was never a player that filled the expectations people had in him, a good 18-19 ppg player last year without Klay, he may drop that when Klay gets the ball a lot more than alternative, his defense seemed to improve though, so that is a good plus for them.

Klay has to be the same when he comes back, he really improved as a defender and we all see that, it's hard to tell, for now, we don't know if Klay is not anymore fragile because the last time he was out was only because of an injury he suffered during their practice game, and the who season was compromised and yet Warriors are still competitive that time.

Yes agree here that Klay Thompson is a good defender aside from producing good contributions on Warriors' offense. If he will be like that next season, not sure. I think Steve Kerr is already aware of that and someone from the team should adjust and take their performance to a higher level to fill what's lacking for the Warriors. Since Klay is mostly catch and shoot, his offense will still be the same with not much difference or worrying that the same injury will be triggered.

And Green's defensive mentality might come back now that his lucky charm, the Splash Brothers, will now come back. They are still a decent team to consider compared to other teams.

There is a reason why the Warriors thrived after getting rid of Monta.

He's definitely a talent but I think that it would just be a weird mix of oldheads from a bygone era all trying to mesh in a short period of time. I think that we've seen that in the early 2010s Nets - it's probably not going to work at the end of the day.

That's nice. He had been working out in different teams and I hope they can offer him something even just for a year. It will be a great help and could boost his name again. Who knows, maybe after this season he could find his new home again. He is just 35 years old and there is so much energy left in his body to offer his service.  
Correct me if I am wrong but I think Lakers still have 2 spots left and they are highly interested with Monta. Fingers crossed.

Well back then GSW did have a hard time deciding, but the decision was for the good of the team as they were able to trade him, retain Steph, and then next year got Klay and Green and the rest is history.

But since he is making a comeback, his still some game and maybe the Lakers will be a good fit for him even for a one year veteran salary.

They are all back! Steph, KLAY, Draymond and Andre' they are all part of the good era of warriors, now that they are reunited again the chemistry and that winning attitude will force everyone to work with them, they are now to be considered for the title contender, Coach Kerr just need to balance everyone.

The supporting cast are also better now, with Wiggins, Porter jr, lee, Bjelica, Toscano-Anderson they got fresh legs when the starters need some rest. Can't wait to see how they'll execute their offense to be their defense again. I love seeing all of them keep on moving until they find the right open man to take the shot.

I think this is the effect of NFT trend craze since lots of teams from various sports such as E-Sports, Football and many more are already entering crypto space just to launch there own NFT. He coached kids in Mississippi so I guess the stamina is still there.
We don't know about how dangerous he is now though, perhaps there could be some peeks on their workouts so we can decide.

It's huge but NBA is the most popular basketball league in the world, so the amount is just reasonable.

Regarding the salary, only one player could consume that $100 million for 5 years, actually Anthony Davis alone has a contract of $190 million for 5 years, and it's not enough to pay him.
