So, what is there? Ripple is not supported with Trezor One, only Trezor Model T. Is it because not implemented yet, or is not technically possible?
Maybe not yet. But this makes me think that they will support it in the future: Trezor One, firmware update 1.8.0 In order to fix the security vulnerability announced in December, we have updated the way that Trezor One stores data so that it follows the more advanced, secure procedure followed by Model T. We are also currently in the process of backporting the modern, flexible, and functional code architecture from Model T to Trezor One, to ensure that Trezor One will always remain fully up-to-date. https://blog.trezor.io/latest-updates-bring-new-architecture-to-trezor-one-and-ripple-support-to-model-t-3873ed3693c1I think, two weeks after I buy Trezor One, they introduced a new model T. good luck probably Now I have "old" hardware on my desk

I think, two weeks after I buy Trezor One, they introduced a new model T. good luck probably Now I have "old" hardware on my desk It's not a Trezor, but I bought a Ledger Nano S a few weeks before prices dropped by a bunch on my country. Then, they released the Nano X which is even a little bit cheaper than what I paid for my old Nano S. Thankfully I don't act like this is such a big deal. My Nano S works fine. This happens sometimes. :p

Trezor just released a new minor update (1.8.1). You can see the changelog here. Anyon have an idea where to Tether support after the OMNI transactions parsing fix? (I realize that the device can already store USDT).

I've just noticed that some people posted on Trezor's telegram about the T1 going for 39$ only on Amazon. I thought it was worth sharing. As for their legitimacy, here is their response in Telegram. Not sure about the second guy as there is no admin tag near his name, but his comment was never removed so I believe he's actually with the team.

Is it really worth buying from an unofficial source just to save $40? Especially if it's to be used for storing non-insignificant amounts of money.

I would say "probably not", but tbh if its in original packaging, passes a visual inspection (trezor site has some pages that help with this), and you create a new seed/password/pin - then you're very unlikely to have any problems. amazon has reputable sellers (but still be careful picking one) and are generally supported by trezor as a safe reseller.

Why take a chance to save a few days and dollars on shipping? Just buy direct from Trezor.

amazon has reputable sellers (but still be careful picking one) and are generally supported by trezor as a safe reseller. This is still a problem. They are trustworthy sellers - yes, but can they distinguish a fake or manipulated hardware wallet from a real one? Unless they are official re-sellers I would not trust them. It doesn't have to be that they are the ones who tampered with the device but the third party who sold it to them could have.

Even if they're official resellers, Amazon has or used to have a problem where even if you bought a product from an official re-seller, you can receive a counterfeit product.

That is an even bigger problem because if that is true one might ask himself where the re-sellers are getting their products from? If some of them are counterfeit, they weren't delivered by Trezor.

Resellers may have sourced their products from a legitimate source but all of that is for naught if Amazon decides to commingle the same product from different sellers to save money. I'd never take any chances with hardware wallets.

How much time do updates take to go from Beta to the official wallet? I've seen a blog article in December 2018 about supporting Ethereum without using MEW, and apparently, that's still not available?

There is no fixed time. I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to move all coins to their new wallet, which is currently used by XRP and ETH, before pushing changes to the normal branch. Later today I am going to update all my Trezors so I will report back the update time.
He asked about something different. Software updates don't take much time, especially on Trezor T which has a faster CPU than the previous model.

Feature suggestion: offer the sale of gift codes/vouchers redeemable for Trezors. Such codes could be given out in contests or raffles, removing the concern that a device may have been tampered with, especially if it's being sent by someone lacking a good reputation.

I reached out to their support on the official Telegram channel and it turned out that this feature was probably on their roadmap. Anyway, Trezor employee promised to forward your suggestion to the marketing department.

Does anyone have an idea about Trezor accepting new translation requests on their Crowdin? I've sent a request and emailed them as they requested but still no responses for a few months now.

The last update of the translation project from SatoshiLabs was almost 6 months ago. It looks like they have given up. Most of the translations were complete, but some users started to paste translations from Google Translate and some entries were erased (even the correct ones).

What makes a strong passphrase? How much does it cost to brute-force a passphrase? Should you use a passphrase for your Trezor? Is your passphrase strong enough?https://blog.trezor.io/is-your-passphrase-strong-enough-d687f44c63af-Option 1: A random sequence of words -Option 2: A random-character passphrase -Option 3: A valid English sentence -Passphrase length and security -Show me the math -Trezor Trusted Display
