Hello,

just got my device, BIG thanks for developers, I really love it, very reasonable price for such a thing.
Waiting for new versions.
Keep it up!

How technical with Bitcoin do you need to be to operate it safely?

It's really hard to screw up security-wise.

One mistake I've seen a newbie make is to take a photo of the seed words he had written down with his phone (out of fear to lose them). It dawned on him he had made a potentially fatal (for his coins) mistake. He reinitialized the device after I confirmed this was a really bad idea.

I would think that with the competition the price would start coming down on these but not os.

You can find a presentation on TREZOR 2 here, on our blog. https://blog.trezor.io/trezor-security-beyond-bitcoin-c99f27b18b6b#.yn4jjv71a

Technical specifications? There is this one slide from the TREZOR 2 hackathon. On the picture, that's just the prototype

No release date yet, but aiming for Q2/2017

So, after long time reading those wonderful reviews about TREZOR device, i have ordered a 3 unit bundle package last week, can't wait  to put my hands on one.

from my understanding, Trezor is basically another layer of protection to your wallet  and you kinda forced  to open a wallet in Trezor's website right?

Can i use other wallets with Trezor and if so, what is the most reliable  wallet? been hurt already by many exit scam's.

So the new TREZOR will definitely be bigger in size!

It is really for security.

If you have your wallet on your computer, and the hard drive fails, you will lose your wallet. If you have a wallet online, and someone hacks it, you will lose your funds (if you don't control your private keys, you do not control your coins).

Hardware wallet mitigates those two shortcomings: you control the private keys and you have a backup, in form of a mnemonic seed (chain of random words in a non-random order), written on a paper.

Then you might ask, why not use a paper wallet instead? Well, spending out of a paper wallet is unsafe, as you will have to enter the entire private key somewhere whenever you want to spend your coins. On the other hand, spending out of a hardware wallet is very safe, as it isolates your keys from everything. Keys never leak and therefore your funds are safe. Hardware wallets also increase physical security; they are protected against unauthorized use by PIN+Passphrase. Paper wallets cannot do that.

Tl;dr: Hardware wallet like TREZOR combines the convenience of a computer/software wallet and the safety of a paper wallet.

Ughhhh the prototype designs are so gorgeous. I hope I can justify the purchase of a few of these, I adore my v.1 Trezors.

Hello beautiful!

Quite the quantum leap when compared to the current TREZOR.
Almost like the differential between NES and SNES.

Trezor with a color display is the new accessory for anyone that is seriously considering having more than 1 bitcoin in their wallet. I think I am in love at first sight! Cool
But before I get to ahead of myself what is the MSRP on it?

I have a few Trezor 1 wallets, gave them away as Christmas presents one year, love them, promote them, best wallet on the market, etc.

When can I buy the Trezor 2?

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Trezor 2 hasn't been released yet and is still in production. As far as I know, they haven't posted any ETAs or release dates yet.

I've been debating getting a hardware wallet but might hold off to see when Trezor2 gets released.
