I did that and nothing happened. I'm starting to getting worried.
Woo! It finally connected! Now cgminer can't detect miner... slow and steady wins the race Did you try the Image on first page - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1257327.0 or just the Ehash image? It was made by BlockC to work with Avalon 6's, it's what they ship with on RPI kit. the image on the first page worked. just trying to find out how to make cgminer recognize it

I don't see any lights on the back of the avalon. I did set up the cgminer to a pool and this is what the api log says: [Firmware Version] => Avalon Firmware - 20151111 luci: b101100 cgminer: b9d9dd2 cgminer-packages: d33729e Socket connect failed: Connection refused

I don't know. It should have been tested before they sold it to me. I switched from static ip to DHCP and now it shows this: [Firmware Version] => Avalon Firmware - 20151111 luci: b101100 cgminer: b9d9dd2 cgminer-packages: d33729e

whats the miner do when you turn on the psu? It should go through an initialization where the fan runs and the lights on the back flash and change colors.

it actually doesn't do anything. I thought it would run as soon as the cgminer runs. I'll try re-plugging the psu.

EVGA 1300. I plugged it into the wall and switched to power on, but no fans spinning or anything.

there is a jumper plug in a clear bag. that goes on the other end and connects the green wire to ground, which tells the psu to turn on.

cool it takes a village but it now works. @ notlist you should add something in the thread title some FAQ's on av-6 or some support av-6 thread will get more hits like my old sp20 thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=872014.0

Bad news team - I've been in contact with BlocC who said that smart fan speed is integral to it's operation and I doubt we'll have control over it :/
