Last lap, and Bagnaia and Martin did exactly what they had to do, Bastinini has now just overtaken Martin on the last lap, but I don't think Martin wants to get second with a crowbar.

Martin did have a tough fight in the early laps when the Sprint started so Martin was a little annoyed by that although it's not bad for Martin to be third in the Sprint today because he only needs 9th position in the Race tomorrow to be sure of becoming world champion this season. And from what I saw today, it seems Bastianini was quite insistent on passing Martin which may have been an effort by him to help Bagnaia in the Sprint today because both are on the same team, namely the Ducati factory.

As I said before, Baganai and Martin did what they had to do, Bagnaia had to win and Martin had to get a good position at the front of the field.

With Bastianini it will not only be that he wants/needs to help Bagnaia, he will also try to reach third place in the World Championship, presumably he will also collect bonuses from Ducati, whichever position he achieves in the World Championship, so it is also about money and the prestige of staying ahead of Marquez in the World Championship.

Many people say that Monaco is a boring circuit, because the circuit model is narrow, lacks show, etc., but we can't separate Formula 1 and Monaco, the circuit holds historical, prestigious, and iconic value - every time there is a race, many billionaires from all over the world come to that place just to relax and watch the race, it is one of the important racing agendas for F1 and they don't want to lose a place as iconic as this.

Why can't we separate it? Because of these long extensions at all times. Believe me, if it didn't get extended like this every single time it ends, then we wouldn't even be remembering it now, but because it somehow keeps getting extensions, we keep seeing this. All in all, the only reason is money, F1 makes way too much money at Monaco, and that is why they are extending, has nothing to do with the race itself at all.

It's quite obvious that it's the most boring track in the whole season, and it has absolutely no possible overtaking chances, only a few of them happens, I remember one year, can't remember which, there was a total of 8 overtakes all race long, 8!, there are races where we see 8 overtakes in a single lap, consider how boring Monaco can be. This is why Monaco shouldn't be there, but I will give them one boring race, if it makes them enough money to keep this whole thing going, then we can just accept the way it is right now and move on.

As I said it's not just about money, there are historical factors and other factors that make Monaco an important circuit for F1 racing, and it's true that it's quite annoying because this season and next year we probably won't see many overtaking on that circuit, but in the upcoming regulations where the dimensions of the cars will be reduced, I'm sure Monaco will be quite good for F1 racing and we'll see more overtaking on it. So let's just hope that in the upcoming regulations Monaco can give us a good show - and moreover I don't expect that circuit to disappear from the calendar, even though it's boring but I like that circuit.

I am happy to see the result of the Sprint Race, at least we need to wait for the main race to know who will be taking the crown of the MotoGP world championship.
Tomorrow will be interesting to watch, Pecco will try hard to win the race while at the same time hoping for Martin to finish under 9th position.
Martin only need to get 7 point more to secure the world champion crown, it looks easy for Martin of course so he should race smarter in order to win his 1st motoGP title.
Although it looks hard to happen, I'm wondering how if both riders get the same point at the end of tomorrow race?
It may happen if Pecco win and Martin finish on 10th if my math is correct, in this scenario (if happen) who will be the world champion?

Bagnaia was able to win today.
he has now 19 points of advantage to Martin and 1 race to go.
It is still almost impossible to him winning the title.

He needs only 2 combinations, 1st or second spot and a DNF from Martin.

Currently Bastianini is already in third place in the standings although it is still not safe because he is only five points behind Marquez and today it seems that the Race will be more intense because Bastianini and Marquez will also take part in disturbing the front row which may be more difficult for Bagnaia. If the scenario you asked happens in today's race, of course it will be seen from which rider has won more main races this season and from what we have seen together for this season it is clear that Bagnaia has won more main races this season. I have also tried to find out about this and I read on tribunnews.com with the contents of their quote from SkySport Italia which said "if both of them collect the same number of points until the race on Sunday, then Bagnaia will be crowned the 2024 MotoGP champion".

So who do you guys think is driver number 1 for Ferrari next season...  Hamilton or Leclerc.  Lolol.  I think we'll start seeing something like Hamilton vs Rosberg in Mercedes back in the day.    Love to see it.

This is an interesting question to answer. Normally I would pick 7-time world champion Hamilton to be the number 1 driver here. They have offered him a historical contract you know. There must be much more meaning in why they made such move.

Yup...  For Leclerc to fight back, he has to make it gritty with Hamilton.  No fcks given and make it a fight for who really is 'the guy' in the team.  Both guys each have a case on who it should be.  Leclerc was there first and the current first driver of the team.  While Hamilton is a 7 time world champion who should be given some respect and getting his next championship in Ferrari would give the team more prestige and some sort of revival.

Can't wait!  I hope they have the best car on the grid.

Congratulations to Jorge Martin who has successfully become the 2024 MotoGP world champion after successfully finishing third in today's race at the Catalunya Barcelona circuit. And congratulations also to Bagnaia who has successfully won 11 major races this season even though he did not succeed in becoming world champion and only succeeded in occupying second place in the standings this season. Another congratulations also to Marquez who has successfully occupied third place in the standings because he managed to finish second in today's closing race.

as expected Martin is the world champion for 2024.
I think this driver has more talent than Bagnaia.
Basically who won the championship was the driver of the two who made the least mistakes.
Super championship for Marquez, next year there will be fun when he gets on the official Ducati.

Reality is that Ferrari is not really a team that does "first driver" logic all that much, they are going to just screw them both lol. I mean we have seen them change team principles and all that, but nothing really changed, they are still doing the same simple mistakes, thankfully they are doing better now but still not good enough to win.

Mclaren for example came from all the way back and won and Ferrari never really upgraded that well. I am not saying that the car is bad, sure car could be better too, but I believe whatever happens, happens during the race and with the pit team as well and that's the biggest problem. They trained those pit crew many times before, and they are still making mistakes, they changed some very bad ones to very good ones too and they are still making a mistake too. So long story short I believe that we are going to end up with Ferrari not really caring about either and both drivers will be mad that they are in Ferrari.

Having a driver line up of Leclerc and Hamilton and looking at Leclerc's history with the team and Hamilton's status in the sport...  What team could?  Lol.  There's gonna be a lot of friction between these two for sure next year.  But I think it will be Leclerc who's gonna give way and act as driver no. 2. 

But I don't think Leclerc is gonna allow it to happen at some point.  He'll prolly give Rosberg a call and try to get some tips on how to beat Hamilton.

They are really good these days. I wish they were as competitive as now at the beginning of the season too but anyways...    This makes me hopeful about Ferrari's car next season. If you are making a huge signing then you can't have any excuse with the car from now on. This is a move to be champion after more than a decade in the end.

We are finally in the race week! This is going to be the second time Las Vegas hosting Formula 1 so let's see.

I loved Verstappen's effort under rain. I'm curious about whether he will manage to win 2 times in a row no matter how the weather is like.

Zhou's move to become a reserve driver is his best option now - following in the footsteps of his teammate Bottas who is a reserve driver for Mercedes next season. Although this is just a rumor, the opportunity is likely to be realized since Zhou is a driver from the Ferrari academy and he still wants to stay in F1 even if only as a reserve driver.

Age plays a huge role though, isn't it? I mean even if Hamilton scores more points, which Sainz looks like he could have done if the team didn't really favour Leclerc but yeah like I said age plays a role.

Hamilton may get more points but he will be there for a few seasons at most, dude is getting closer to 40, and I doubt he will go like Alonso and race until 42-43 years old, which means that how many years could Ferrari even get from Hamilton? By comparison, if he does well enough then Charles could race for at least another ten seasons for Ferrari and that is the most important factor to consider when picking a first driver.

I mean obviously it's not only the age, if Charles was younger but terrible then we would see Hamilton be first, but Charles is not terrible neither, dude is third right now and that is why I believe that the best thing to do right now is making sure that things aren't looking that terrible at all, it has to be a different situation here.

Domenicali could end in Moto GP from F1, but the rumor is lickely to be denied.

Place of Canadian GP in calendar always looked strange for me in terms of logistics and logic in general. Between races in Europe they travel across the ocean just for one race. But there isn't many dates available where you can move Canadian GP because of weather conditions.
