At the Monaco Historic Grand Prix, LecLerc had a very embarrassing mishap, he lost control of Lauda's 1976 Formula 1 Ferrari and slid his rear end into the tyres. The mechanics won't be very happy if the parts are still available or have to be specially made again for the repair, presumably.
That is an unfortunate event but why were they even there? I mean the next GP is Spain right? That shouldn't be too close, why are they there? I get that sometimes they do these type of things but usually they do that before that GP, for example if they are going to do an historic one, then they are going to end up with Spanish historic one, or if they have monaco up next then monaco gp historic one. No idea why we have monaco historic gp during Spanish one week. This is why I believe that we shouldn't have these type of historic stuff. I really hope that Charles is great and he has nothing, I know he continued and seemed fine but sometimes it gets out a bit later.

Ferrari will have big upgrades in this car, it is rumored to be 4/10 faster with the updates!
I hope this is true otherwise Verstappen will win the title, they have the best car for the moment.

Repsol Honda Team Manager, Alberto Puig, has analyzed the difficulties that Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro experienced during the French MotoGP weekend. "In terms of results, it was not what he (Marquez) expected," he said, quoting the official Honda Racing Corporation website. “Of course, this race is not a total disaster. But we have to look at the situation as a whole and this is not our real position and definitely not Marc's position. "We know where we have to improve (performance). We need more time to test what we believe can help us fix the problem we're having "For now we have to keep working and wait for this solution to arrive in Europe as soon as possible. We're checking it out." Source: Motorsport/xfuera.id

If that is true then Ferrari will win the title,Redbull does not have the fastest car, well except in the main straights which is a big advantage as we have a really huge straight in Spain but I also want to have competition. Leclerc should be more focused and drive more aggressively rather than keep complaining in the radio messages, you don't win races complaining but by driving at the best of your possibilities. They are different characters and I think Verstappen is more mature in this aspect as he has suffered much more than Leclerc in F1 (had more retires during his F1 career than Leclerc).

You are sure that the RedBull is better than the Ferrari? I think the cars are equally fast but Ferrari has more potential to go up. Four tenths? That would be a bit much and the updates have to work first... But for the sake of suspense alone, I hope that neither of the two drives away, a title fight until the last race would be desirable again.

I am sure about that, I do not know about him but I am 100% sure that it is going to be a clear difference from here on out as well. Red Bull is a team that ended up with the champion this year, Max won last year and even though Charles is great, he is not a champion material just yet, he needs to have a lot of fighting for the championship, that's what Max did for so many years. Charles can't just have one year where he is a good car and then suddenly becomes a champion on his first year. This is why I believe that Max and Red Bull will have an easy win for sure, there is no doubt about that and the best thing is that we just have fun time and the league goes close at least.

I miss the sounds of the screaming V8, V10 and the V12 engines. Those are the real engine sounds of F1. They're high pitch, very loud and screaming like banshees. Here's a vid comparing thhe three engines. Formula 1 Engine Sound Comparisonhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V6y1bz-D-IHaving the V6 turbo run beside those cars wouldn't make it look too good imho. But yeah, I hope the new engines on 2026 would get some of the classic, 'real' F1 sound back. Anyway who you guys got winning the Spanish GP? I'm thinking Leclerc gets quali but Verstappen finds a way to win the race from behind once more. What do you guys think? The best sound in my opinion is simply the V10 sound, a V12 is a V12 but the V10 just sounds even better but that's a matter of taste. The results of the Historic Ground Prix in Monaco can be found under the following link. It is differentiated there under different classes by year of manufacture. https://europe-cities.com/2022/05/19/monaco-historic-grand-prix-2022-race-results/

Yes, Ferrari got a pole position in the latest GP only when Max did a Mistake. Also on races, Redbull was faster in the latest GPS.

That's true again, Max has learned the last few seasons with Hamilton as an opponent (Hamilton is up to all the tricks), Leclerc will probably make too many mistakes as you write, Ferrari is also not yet mistake-free like RedBull from the pit. Yes, Ferrari got a pole position in the latest GP only when Max did a Mistake. Also on races, Redbull was faster in the latest GPS.
Ferrari still has the advantage that it seems to be more reliable, but it also seems that RedBull has found the mistake from the first races in the drive unit, but can these units still be used?

It seems Barcelona is a full circuit for Ferrai as Charles has the lower odd with Max having almost 4... . Now , we know that Ferrari looked amazing here in pre-season and testing period and if they had something new to bring up here, well...I think they just did it.
Another great news for racing in general is that Mercedes finally having some big updates to bring to the car and I'm curious if these update will reflect on the sunday grid.

I think we will get our answers even before Sunday, during today free practices,I don't think the drivers will save a lot or hide a lot from their car potential,I know in Friday practices drivers just want to find the perfect setup and balance for the car but they also keep pushing to the max trying to find that. I am also curious about the Mercedes upgrades as I remember Totto Wolf saying to Hamilton in preseason that we would fight for winning races near the start of the second half of the Championship,I hope these upgrades can be brought before as it is thought now. That big straight surely favors Redbull for now but let's see what the ugprades of both Ferrari and Mercedes bring to the table.

The first practice session was uneventful for the most part. No crashes or near crashes. Just cars going about their business. And Verstappen could've been the fastest if not for the traffic at sector three during his fastest run of the session. Overall, everything looked ok and it looks like Mercedes has finally solved their bouncing issue... We'll see at FP2 later. We'll prolly see Mercedes start pushing a lot more.
Here are the results.

Yes, Ferrari got a pole position in the latest GP only when Max did a Mistake. Also on races, Redbull was faster in the latest GPS. I also think that the car of Red Bull is slightly faster than the one of Ferrari at the moment. In the qualifying it seems like Ferrari is still ahead by a very small margin but in the race the Red Bull is just a little bit faster it seems. The reason for that is probably that Ferrari is creating more downforce than the Red Bull which means that Ferrar can get the tyres on the right temperature faster which is great for the qualifying but of course this also menas that in the race the tyres of the Ferrari also get hot earlier which is a bad thing in the race of course. For this reason, Verstappen could always catch up in the course of the race and then finally also overtake LeClerc.

Rossi had already hung up his helmet at the end of the 2021 MotoGP. However, the record for the number of races in the premier class (MotoGP/500cc) that is held seems difficult to break. Among the 10 riders with the most number of races in MotoGP, only Dovi and Aleix Espargaro are still actively participating. Even so, considering the number of races that were inscribed by the two drivers, it seems difficult for Dovi and Aleix Espargaro to surpass Rossi's record. Here are the 10 racers with the most number of races in the MotoGP/500cc class: 1. Valentino Rossi (372 races) Win : 89 Podium : 199 Pole Position : 55 2. Alex Barros (245 races) Win : 7 Podium : 32 Pole Position : 5 3. Andrea Dovizioso (241 races) Win: 15 Podium : 62 Pole Position : 7 4. Nicky Hayden (219 races) Win : 3 Podium : 28 Pole Position : 5 5. Dani Pedrosa (218 races) Win : 31 Podium : 112 Pole Position : 31 6. Loris Capirossi (217 races) Win : 9 Podium : 42 Pole Position : 13 7. Aleix Espargaro (204 races) Win : 1 Podium : 6 Pole Position : 3 8. Jorge Lorenzo (203 races) Win : 47 Podium : 114 Pole Position : 43 9. Colin Edwards (196 races) Win : 0 Podium : 12 Pole Position : 3 10. Carlos Checa (194 races) Win : 2 Podium : 24 Pole Position : 3 Source: gpnews.ig

I remain skeptical. It looked like they'd made a huge step forward in Miami, but that proved to be a false dawn and when it was time for qualifying and the race itself, they looked just as ordinary as usual. Perhaps they will fix it during this season, but it seems to be a fundamental issue with the structure of the car, and I'm not convinced it's something that can quickly be engineered out (or cheaply, given the cost cap). But maybe I'm wrong, who knows? I hope I'm wrong - it would be incredible to see three teams genuinely in with a chance of winning races.

Still Leclerc and no excuses for Verstappen for not being the leader this time. And you know what, as coinlocket$ said, Mercedes now really looks like they have solved their porpoising issue and are ready to challenge the leaders. Can't wait for FP3. I feel like Merc was sand bagging FP1 and not showing their real pace. FP2 kinda showed where they're at and tomorrow would be the confirmation.
If Mercedes really did improve, it just made life harder for Verstappen to gain some championship points.

Okay, second practice builds more of a case for Merc. But I'm still not convinced; I don't think I'll start to believe it until they do the same in qualifying, and then fully believe it when they do the same in the race itself. And even then I'd suspect that maybe it was a one-track-wonder specific to Barcelona. If they are improving, is it coincidence that it happens at the same track where pre-season testing took place? One thing I like though is the fact that Alonso is so close. Would love to see him at the front again!

I do not get how you can say that Mercedes is doing better, I mean look at the results, we have 2 Ferraris at the top, and Max is right behind them, we have VIPs not doing great obviously but he wasn't given that order, he just did some testing and that's all. This should be something that shows you that we are talking about Mercedes still being third team in the race right now. Sure, VIPs could have been low, but Hamilton was 6th in the tests as well.
We also need to remember that this was a test run, it is a practice and it means nothing. Even qualifying is not that important anymore, the fastest team last race was Ferrari and they lost very quickly.
