i installed this driver
Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Workloads-Aug23
but in device manager no drivers and when i tried start miner miner also saying no amd gpu
how to fix it?
and should i  install AMD ReLive also for mining

Did you run the pixel patcher, needed if gpu bios has been flashed (and maybe if using latest Blockchain drivers - I'm not sure).

https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-AMD-ATI-Pixel-Clock-Patcher

"1.4.4: Added patch for BIOS signature check."
thanks alot bro its working...

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I don't know if it is specific to me, but I also have issues installing drivers in win10 for vega.  I get one driver installation, after that something always goes wrong and I have to reinstall windows.

Awesome it's not just me. I have the same issue's that I get 1 installed fine anything after that it's a 50/50 chance that the driver installs correctly for the other 9 Vega gpu's. I haven't tried another driver yet besides the Aug23 blockchain driver. Have you? Trying to compare notes to see what else to test to try and get them hashing. I've spent WAY to much time on get more that 1 Vega GPU working...

I'm running 2x Vega FE.  The public drivers I've run are Vega FE release drivers, Vega FE beta(public) and the aug. 23 block chain drivers.

I got both cards up to 42.4Mh/s last night.  Windows updated and restarted the computer and I can't get them past 36mh/s now.  Very frustrating.

Windows update usually installs newest GPU drivers.  So just uninstall your drivers with DDU in safe mode, reinstall proper drivers, and disable windows update.

Windows update did not change the display drivers according to radeon control.

Just receive my RX VEGA 56 (Thanks LDLC.com and the discount Sapphire RX VEGA 56 (405€) )

Fresh install win 10 + last driver, after a few tests, I got 35 MH/s for something like 150W

What I can tell :
AfterBurner do not like Vega
WattMan is not really friendly
Voltage control seems not to work great

I'll try to improve that and test blockchain drivers etc ...

I tested it: was 205watts for 35.5mhs - at perfect share find times for 35.5mhs (-5% powertune and 930mhz HBM2, P6 and P7 states set 1030, fan 3600rpm)!

And -24% powertune was 31mhs at correct share found times for 31.5mhs at the pool - using 165watts.

PSU used is 90% efficiency, so actual power draw was 184.5watts for 35.5mhs and 148.5watts for 31mhs. I suppose, a more efficient PSU would help. LOL

May try Blockchain drivers, but apparently those are for RX 580s and RX 570s - so don't expect any improvement.

Over 950mhz and 980mhz HBM2 speed: correct shares were severely impaired from the pool (pretty crap) - unstable.

Not really good for mining, but excellent for PC gaming. Up to 18% faster than a GTX 1070 when PC gaming with the undervolt and overclock  Grin

Setting the GPU core clocks to low impairs share find times!

May make you feel good to see 36mhs, but you won't be getting hashing rewards at that rate!

I guess, you'll need to run it for week to see whether you are getting what the calculator says you should be getting for 36mhs (minus fees).

I reckon it will be something much lower.

Don't know why I brought these but don't know if it was the write choice.

Im getting 36.06 mh/s per card. I tried to overclock it,

Minimum fan speed: 70

I dont know if these setting are correct, but it has increased the haste from 34 to 36, can someone please help me with this. Also I'm always getting low shares,

I tried plugging pcie riser to pci slot and killed my rx 480 8gb Sad( /slitwrists

not sure I understand what you did...maybe you just killed the pcie slot on the motherboard ?  try your GPU in another computer !

No. I plugged a PCIE riser 1x to 16x, the 1x connector in to a PCI slot (different than pci express) they do fit in there the same. When I powered on the pc, smoke started coming out of the pci slot so I pulled it out quickly but it was too late. The damage was done. Ive tried connecting it to a pcie slot on to different pc's and both are unable to recognize the graphic card. Either in device manager or amd driver download. Error 175 or 182 on amd code.

burned card can be replaced.. i did it 2 times
Can it be fixed? What do I need to do? Thnx

AFAIK 36-37 is normal for 1080ti

Want know what is wrong? The coin. 1080 ti is amazing but not for Etherium or Dual mining. Don't put this shark to climb trees, mine a coin that it's good at like Zcash, Sigt, Lbry, Groestl or whatever

Hi all,

I have done quite a lot of research but haven't found a resolution to this problem - hopefully someone can help me on this.

Mining rig:
3 x MSI RX 580 8 GB cards (not Armor/Sapphire etc) - has single 8 pin power connector, single fan, no BIOS switch
Windows 10
SSD with 4 GB RAM
Installed Claymore version 10 Dual miner - Ethereum mining running well and stable but issue is that I cannot get Decred to authorize

Getting:
Socket was closed remotely (by pool)
DCR: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec...

Start.bat command:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0x31be6e3~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~98c6.miner2 -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal myloginname.miner1 -dpsw 2222 -allpools 1

Troubleshooting:
- I have changed the password for the worker to match Claymore (x, 2222, other) - unable to leave the password blank for the worker
- verified Suprnova login (though there is an "x" in the active column?)
- attempted both weblogin name as well as email address used for profile
- added port 3252 in Windows firewall for both incoming and outgoing connections
- added miner to router's DMZ
- tried with/without stratum+tcp
- attempted -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal suprnova.1 -dpsw x -allpools 1 as detailed on suprnova's website
- though I can't recall which other decred pools I used but all got the same error

Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Try to change "miner1" to your "worker name" and write "-dpsw x" command too.

Appreciations here (ETH) 0x57137Aecf8d11b60522d53eD2b0Baf0215FD0b61

Suprnova already has "miner1" as a worker name - and have tried -dpsw x and with specific password as well - no change

Take a GTX 1070 as an example: Run it without touching the GPU clock; plus 500mhz on the memory and 65% on power slider.

That will be your baseline for successful solutions sent back to the pool.

Run it with minus 125mhz on the GPU core and plus 500mhz on the memory and 65% on power slider.

It will be 3% less successful at pool doing work and you will get 3% less shares, which equates to 3% less coin rewards.

The only real difference I can see when comparing it to my bat file is that I have  -epsw x before -dpool.  Not sure if it matters since that is for the Ethereum part, but may be worth a try adding it.

Okay but your worker real name is miner1? Or another? You should put the real worker name on start.bat and in supernova, however try to "update worker" on dcr.suprnova.cc account settings and keep the "-dpsw x" command. Of course you must write the "-epsw x" command before "-dpool" command on start.bat

No dice.

Here is the updated start.bat:

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal 0x31be6e3~~~~~~~~~8998c6.miner2 -epsw x -dcoin dcr -dpool dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -dwal webloginname.worker1 -dpsw x -allpools 1

My "webloginname" of course matches the username I use for Suprnova and although I previously used Miner1 as my worker name, I changed to worker1/worker2 (intend to run both rigs) but still running into same error as in original post.

What's especially frustrating is that is says that I'm connected to Suprnova but then the pool disconnects me.  Is there anything within Suprnova I need to do other than register an account and create a worker? There is an "x" in the Active column when looking at my configured workers - or is this just a reflection that they're not connecting?

Note - I tried this on another rig - same issues.
