why is nheqminer garbage and hashes HALF the speed of zcashgpuclient miner?
why does zcashgpuclient miner ONLY fucking work for scam pool coinsforall.io Huh

is this whole coin just a scam? where only select miners have real working software???

genoil does work.  You have to run it with single cards first.

In my case my R9 280x is GPU 2 so what I did was run it first.

1. delete all .bin files in the cache directory
2. Launch an elevated command prompt with run as administrator
3. run the command inside the quotes not the batch file. 'genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u miner.name -p password -P 0 -g 2'
4. crash. repeat several times until it runs successfully.
5. repeat steps for the other cards.
6. now you can run batch file which mine shows.

Code:
genoil.exe -c zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u miner.name -p password -P 0 -g 0 1 2
pause

Now for good measure I also mine another 12 Sol/s on my cpu using 4 of my 8 threads available.

Code:
nheqminer_suprnova.exe -u miner.name -p password -t 4

I really hope Claymore releases his soon as I am getting very strange hash rate my RX 480 is not what it should be.

So my R9 280x is almost getting as much as my R9 480x?  My R9 380x is getting less than the 280x.  Why is my RX 480 getting suck poor results?

I hope windows because all zec miners on linux are not stable
Don't you think that's the reason to make Linux version? Smiley

Seriously, it is not a ZEC issue, but miner writers. Xtremal's one is more or less stable on Linux but tied to one only pool which is not stable, and miner often loses connection and can't recover. Genoil's one crashes for me. Etc, etc. But Windows version is also limited to actually Nicehash's one. It is stable for me but again tied to couple pools only, and no latest sources published to patch and rebuild without tricks.

There's a Nicehash varient (originated from flypool I think but Nicehash seems to have turned around and re-released it or did the same thing) that supports stratum, seems to work on pretty much any pool BUT that propriatary one with the MAJOR payout issues.

Been stable on all of my NVidia Win7 based rigs except the one that's not stable on ETH (it's tossup on ETH or ZCash for stability on THAT rig, which seems to be having some sort of hardware issue I've not yet had the time to dig into and fix).

It IS picky about driver version - do NOT use the latest 375.70 driver version or the one before that, makes the entire system VERY unstable on both 950/960 based systems AND 1070 based systems. I've had to revert those to 372.70 which has proven to be VERY stable for all mining type work *AND* gets along with my AMD APU/GPU drivers.

The coin itself doesn't seem to be a scam, it's just early days and not a lot of time was given to write good miner software - YET - and the pools are still having issues, likely in part due to the BROKEN WALLET issues.
On the other hand, that one "propriatary" pool DOES seem to be somewhat scammy - no clue why they decided to support a non-standard protocal for interfacing to their pool if they're NOT trying to scam folks.

Genoil, in particular, is using "solver" code from other folks and hasn't taken the time to "roll his own miner" yet (I wish he would, it would probably work a lot better and be a lot more reliable).

I'd really like to see that, and a miner out of wolf0, so Claymore has some competition when he releases something. 8-)

Nice part all of the "swing" of hashrate into ZCoin has made my OTHER rigs noticeably more profitable too. 8-)

Isn't ZCASH ASICS and GPU resistant? My old 1st gen i7 does as well as an RX470, I think it's normal.

It's ASIC resistant, and while it uses a completely different algorythm it seems to be about as GPU resistant as XMR (Monero) - I suspect that a lot of the current reason CPUs are being fairly competative is that the code for them is more mature than the code available for GPUs, though both are still pretty new and raw and probably not well optimised.

Claymore seems to be working as he doesn't write anything here. So we should stay tuned ;> but if he wil end miner before price dump below 0.1btc?;>

Yeah I got working miner today but I don't want to release it until I get at least 100h/s on 390, it will take some more time.
You are correct, with such drop in price it seems everyone will mine ETH again when I release ZEC miner Smiley

Claymore,

100 sol/s per 1 x 390 GPU???

a 5x390 rig which can do 150MHs of ETH mining, can do 500 sol/s ZEC mining?

Per card of AMD 390.. how much zcash we can earn?

It's highly volatile, but you can work it out with simple math:
1) look up the total network hash rate.
2) look up the current block reward.
https://explorer.zcha.in/
So 100 Sols/s / 3.4 Million Sols/s *  1.5 Zec/block * 576 blocks / day = 0.025 Zec/day

but be aware, if Claymore releases a miner capable 100 zec from a single 390, the network hashrate will probably tipple overnight.

Nope, not yet. But we are going to see on pretty soon! Wink

@Claymore, do you have any dual ETH + ZEC miner in plan? I guess that'd be more profitable... a little drop in both of alt's hash rate but it'd be worth it.

IMO it is possible.. But the thing can take time, because of the AMD drivers versions... as Claymore Dual miner is optemised for 15.12 (older) drivers

That's not exactly true. Not anymore...

15.12 drivers won't support the new RX 4xx, so Claymore had to update the miner to work efficiently with the new generation drivers.

Right?

I think you are right.. Then I hope we are about to see ETH+ZEC Dual Miner.. really hope for the Dual miner

ETH difficulty on the rise again:

Miners leaving ZEC already??

me thinks... no stable ZEC miner out there so thats why those who were adventurous went back to ETH... but when Claymore releases the ZEC miner from Planet Mars.... maybe an exodus of ZEC miners will flood the market.

if I was Claymore..... the current CDM 7.3 dual mines ZEC.... wow that will be a marriage made in heaven for miners!

If I provided you good and useful info or just a smile to your day, consider sending me merit points to further validate this Bitcointalk account ~ useful for future account recovery...

Firstly I'm going to release fast ZEC miner, not dual.
Please don't spam my PM, I don't send/sell pre-release version. As soon as it is ready, I'll make it public.
It's a lot of work to create a good miner, I think I will release first version in 2-3 days.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.
