Interesting - what is your intensity which you are using for ETH mining?
I have it on standard values but i am not sure if this is ideal. my blue statistics (current effective hashrate) is pretty wild going up and down.
is this generally normal or should i consider raising the intensity? i am not dual mining....
thanks!
"Effective hashrate" will always go up and down and be inconsistent, because it is affected by luck (i.e. how quickly you solve problems, as opposed to the current around 51 second expectation). The reported hashrate is the only one you can truly adjust by working with your overclock settings. Memory clock doesn't help true hashrate that much, but the other clock is pretty much directly tied to the best hashrate you can get. My 1060 6GB got 18.8MH/sec out of the box, but I have it up to 23MH/sec after playing with the overclocking settings until I was truly weary. Over 20% of much better than most cards are going to see even with the best overclock adjustment settings, so I am lucky or as some say "won the silicon lottery", since I use a generic HP card. Fortunately for me, they are built by Samsung and have Samsung memory - it makes a difference, if only a little. Memory clocks don't make that big a difference, but it does let you make other adjustments you just can't get with Hynix or Micron or Elpida DDR5. My Asus 1080 has Samsung DDR5X memory, so I expect it to be a great performer, even though I am told that - in general - 1080's don't do as well as others relative to hashrate performance. We'll see...

When v10.2 added " now miner supports up to #299 epoch.", what's the highest DAG supported by previous versions? Does anyone know? I've got a stable setup with v10.1, I'd rather not update until absolutely necessary.

If your setup is stable, the new miner wont make it unstable, update to 10.6

I thought this problem with claymore's eth miner and ethermine.org was solved but again today (( eu server constant dag regeneration (( Anyone with the same problem? No, but I do find your stats interesting in the following way ... I've tuned my 580 to give me an average DAG creation time of 4200ms, and my hash rate is ~ 30.7MH. If I detune my cards, my DAG creation takes longer and my hash rate goes down. In other words, they move in sync with the assumption being that a higher memory bandwidth from tuning gives me faster DAG creation and a high hash rate. Your DAG creation is at about 6500ms, yet your hash rate is is exceptionally high. Are you running 580's as well? Just a curiosity. No, it is 2 gtx1070 (nvidia) from a friend of mine. He asked for help, I looked and discovered this old bug to come again ((

Hi all, I use param "-tt -65" to set static fanspeed 65% but my vga start fan only when temperature's over 60 degrees, and idling 55 degrees, I think it's not good... So how to config static fanspeed and don't need to care about temperature?? thank you

For those mining using: - Linux Ubuntu Server 16.04
- GPU RX580
If you are using proprietary AMD's driver amdgpu-pro driver you might have noticed the hash rate is not stable and dropped. This is due to that Security Issue found on Intel chips recently. I know the solution is to disable automatic updates of the kernel and to "roll back" to previously "good working" (for mining) Linux Kernel Version. What I would like to know is what version of the Linux Kernel (4.4.xx or 4.10.xx or 4.13.xx) you found to be more stable and optimized for mining? Is it the normal version or the HWE version? P.S.: if your rig is still stable you can get this info by typing: uname -a

Hello
i recently switched all my GTX 1070/1070ti to ETH due to ZEC price drops etc. I find some rigs work ok (stable) and on some the hashrate is fluctuating.
may this be realted to drivers? are there drivers ok ?
385.41 for 6x1070 rigs
and 388.59 fo 6x1070ti rigs? or claymore requires the newest nvidia drivers?
i use v10.5 version.... the HASHRATE is ok at the start, but then after some time fluctuates. I check on nanopool for 6hr average and find some rigs only have 170 MH/s avg.
settings differ cause i try...
1070: power 75 (high but i want stability, not really low power), core -200 (some -190 now), mem +680 (some +690). the rigs are very cool temps around 38-42 deg.
i put -r 120 so the client restarts (i find this give better hash?)
MY RX580 rigs are 100% stable there is no fluctiation but nvidia with ETH gives me headache plz help ;-)

You are cross posting to many threads which is considered spam. Your account should be banned. It is not relevant. It is spam when you post to so many threads.
I simply posted to the relevant threads. My software simply supports a lot of stuff making a lot of threads relevant. Didn't mean to spam, I'm sorry if it looked like it. When I see the same post over and over in many of the threads I subscribe to it is spam by definition. You should not have posted to other people's threads. This is considered bad forum manners. You should have created your own new thread in the mining sub forum and described your software and what it does. Then people can discuss your software instead of being annoyed seeing your post over and over in other software's forum. I suggest you delete all the posts and create your own thread. That is how the forum should operate.

Woke up this morning (at 11:30 ) with a non-functioning rig. Weirdly, Claymore's was running with no error, no watchdog shenanigans. But if you look at the last timestamps from Claymore's and the system time, you see there's quite a mismatch: https://image.ibb.co/ejVyb6/Screenshot_20180203_113017.pngWhat do you reckon? How can I prevent that?

RX 580 8G, Hynix memory (2225 MHz IIRC). I'm pretty happy with the speed, yeah. I reach 31.6 MH/s per card with a clock of 2250 MHz but shit happens from time to time (although my memory errors appear to be very very very low). Thanks a lot.

hi folks, i'm wondering if sombody could help me out with my MSI rx 480 4gb gaming x hynix memory rig. i'm only getting max. 21mh/s with a modded bios timing strap from 1500 to 2000, core clock gives me no difference, memclock 1900 gives me 19-20 mh/s and memclock to 2000 gives me 21.3 mh/s. other timing straps gives me even more less.. at the wall i'm getting +- 140 watt each card. since yesterday my computer even refuse to instal my cards. i already have multiple times deleted the drivers with ddu. i'm using windows 10 and have try driver 16.9.2, 16.10.3 15.12, 18.2 all off the drivers only work with one card but when i plug them in all togheter they dont work, only the first time that i installed everything they all worked and where able to mine but only with 20.7 mh/s. my risers are all fine and already have try new risers and a new clean windows 10 also. but nothing works :s when i plug everything in ,the fans are blowing normal but when i log in the drivers keep repeating to install my screen keeps flickering, like the cards are keep trying to install but it always fail. hope sombody can give me some other suggestions that i can try. trying to flash the original bios to see if that works is going to be difficult because i lost it.. i have found a rom the rom that i have flashed on techpowerup

Care to share your config file (memory and core speeds and voltages) ? What's your per gpu consumption?

Did you try mclocks around 2050, 2080 or 2100? And cclock 1100, 1125 or 1150? And mvddc 900 or 950? If you already tried Blockchain drivers Aug 23, probably you need to put more clock to achive better rates. To he configured stick in the GPUs, open the claymore miner, waits until the last setting dag file, close the miner and repeat 2-3 times this process.

Are you using different configs for each card? Probably one of them need to have a lower clock. Checking the memory error will provide a clue.., use HWINFO to do that.
