A currency is meant to be a store of value so we can decide to use it right now or we wait for a rainy day and save it for later, so those that are storing bitcoin are not doing nothing wrong and are in fact following the purpose of all the currencies that have ever been created.

Well i had 2 bitcoins but sold them around 2 years ago when it was back at $250. I still regret it I sold them but i needed the money back then.
That would really be painful with the increase in price that bitcoin has witnessed in recent time. That could really have made something this time. For me, I havent gather much since I can only make from Signature campaigns and bounties coupled with the fact that increasing in rank is directly related to what can be earned. So in all I have saved about 0.07btc and still hoping to make more as time goes by. Ouch! That's a bit hard to take if you think about it by what's happening to bitcoin's price now. 2 btc would already be a very big earning and ripe for investment capital. Though who would've thought 2 years ago that btc's price would go this high. If I were you most likely I'd sell them as well. Right now I have around almost 1btc as since the seconds half of December last year, I decided to just hold on to my btc earnings with signatures and services. I would've panicked early this week when btc almost went down to below 900 but I think I made the right decision to just hold on to my btcs for the moment. You can make some profit if you sell them at the right time and buy them back later. Bit that's just the hardest part. No one knows what the price will do I made that 2btc back then almost only with trading. Back in the days at Mintpal with coins like BC and XC. Coins had 2000btc+ volume a day with great pump and dumps.

I guess you just have to be more patient in holding your bitcoins rather than trading with other assets.

Yep and I don't follow the altcoins anymore but is there nowadays also some coins with lots of volume, like 1000btc+ a day? I just seen Doge and that one is also very very low volume. The value of that one was few years early 4 times higher at least.

Well, it happened in the past so let it be, lessons learned. Usually, people will regret if they sold for small profit like $100-200. If you have big amount and sell it will give you more than $1000 than it so tempt to take. Personally, I won't sell any and prefer to save it for future planning.

I always get irritated when people say that saving/holding Bitcoin is against the "real" purpose of Bitcoin. It's bullshit. Bitcoin is a tool that you can use in many ways. We have the freedom to choose whatever feature we want to make use of. If one person wants to use it solely as a currency tool, then so be it. If another person just want to obtain as many coins as possible where the only purpose is saving, then so be it. If another person is only using Bitcoin as an investment tool, then again, so be it. Don't forget one thing, without people holding their coins, we would never be able to reach these price levels.

I think bitcoin will be a promising investment. I have a 2 BTC I keep in my wallet a few online and do not spend it, I will sell at a higher price and earn some profit.
if you want to aim to get rich from bitcoin, I think 2 BTC will be very less. at least you should store above 20 BTC in your wallet, so when prices go up you can sell it and be rich

Many people are thinking that only savings is the way to be rich in the future.. that honestly right now many ways that we can be rich and spend your bitcoin.. start a business with bitcoin and contribute and help bitcoin to spread the world more merchant can accept bitcoin more people will know that useful usage of bitcoin.. if you start your own business make sure its unique and i hope you can be rich in the future if you start a business instead of saving it and hold it for a long time.. it takes too much time to hold and if you are holding few bitcoins you will never be rich because the price of bitcoin is gradually increase.

Some people may disagree with me, but only with passive income as is the savings strategy nobody can be rich. Savings are money, fiat or bitcoin, someone will use in the future when has not any other funds. Anyone believes in bitcoin must transact with bitcoins. The best approach is anyone has the chance to be paid selling goods or offering services with bitcoins. Any amount of these payments can be saved and the rest for daily needs to be covered.

This is great to know but be careful, bitcoin value is getting high and low, just be alert of saving and spending or investing it, It is below 900 now. But for sure it will increase bigger than $1000 again as the New Year Comes, anyway, me I stored now less than one bitcoin, because I was alarmed of the price value was being roller coaster.

3 Bitcoins is not bad at all, I think if you stay holding it for a while you can make some big bucks by just holding it, another option is also to invest it in something.

I tend to invest all my bitcoin. I'd rather have my money work than lay in a wallet. Of course that just by purchasing a bitcoin you make an investment but I like to invest in businesses that I can closely work with and don't just rely on other people to buy, buy, buy bitcoin. But I always have a small bitcoin stack in case I need it,but I am keeping it in safe. lol

That's funny indeed. So I am now a Bitcoin Peasant. Let's make this at least a Bitcoin Knight before the end of 2017. Seems to be a nice goal to reach. I was that so I want to become that again.
