Well it is really hard to determine how many people are involved into this crypto currency because i think at the moment there is no authentic way to find the actual numbers of people who are using it on their daily basis, so many people predicting different numbers and maybe in near future we will find the way to let know about this.

It is hard to determine how many people are using bitcoin, simply because bitcoin is anonymous, and bitcoins are assigned to wallets,

not people. Because of this, you can only find the number of wallets exist to date (about). But people generate new wallets all the time,

so it is hard to say how many people use bitcoin.

I agree , We cant posibly know how many bitcoin user is using bitcoin until now. But Its true that every day a new bitcoin user is influenced by a bitcoin user today. As long as bitcoin grow people will slowly recognize it and many will be curiuos about it .

it's possible already to be over 1M users easily, but only a good group is sending bitcoin all the time every day, the other are doing nothing

i think no one can exactly know about it bitcoin technology is anonymous and there are several number of wallet on the internet right know and many people enrolled in different wallet so it is very difficult to find that how many exactly know it..... so we can only assume or imagine but we can't find exact number....

I don't think anybody can say about it. Everyone can use more than 1 wallet for transactions and lot of people do this, using a specific wallet for a specific use. Not long ago a guy promoting the scam Onecoin was bragging Bitcoin has only 300k users. I was near to fail from my chair, i found it very funny

The basis for this figure is the number of transactions processed by the Bitcoin network daily. It oscillates between 200k and 300k transactions, and it is assumed the number of active Bitcoin users is somewhere between 300k and 500k. What is considered as an active Bitcoin user everyone decides for themselves, but this of course doesn't make the coin that the dude has been promoting less scammy (if it really is, in the first place)

I don't think that estimation is necessarily bad either. 300,000 to 500,000 people all coming together to use this alternative currency with the help or guidance of no government or single corporation. It's pretty amazing to me when you really think about it.

yeah estimation is not necessarily bad. but it depends on the situation. when someone needs it badly or just want to know the users of bitcoin. maybe you really need to have a research if you want the good estimation of users of bitcoin. using statistics and some formulas of growing economy can lead you to an educated guess.

certainly nothing special methods that can be used to calculate total bitcoin users authentically. because of the bitcoin system itself is decentralized so no one can control the users of the center, so there will be no one who knows the total bitcoin users

for now there is no way for us to distinguised how much people are using the bitcoin. but maybe in the near future when the system of bitcoin is in place. we can actually calculate how many people are using bitcoin. Just think of the methods for security reason. if they allow people to own one wallet for each people. they can actually calculate it

Byuing bitcoin one time and hold it make them still an user. We can't define the number of people using bitcoin based only on the number of transaction.

You can assume the number if users in bitcointalk.org, its not accurate but you get to have the number to assume. Most users who are into crypto currency are also into bitcoin no matter how loyal they are to a coin. What is the purpose of this by the way?

Actually, no one can determine here of how many total numbers of bitcoin users in bitcoin world. I do agreed  that the community in crypto world and in bitcoin world are almost closed in terms of there users. The only thing recorded in the blockchain history was the total amount we send bitcoinBTC.

The information we found is just a pure estimate, it depends on us on how we evaluate the data we read, and of course we have to make a follow research as well, that information is vital if you are an investor because the number of users also affect the value of bitcoin from time to time.

Still no body don't know how many people are exactly using bitcoin, because many people from different countries have involved.  Calculation will not give an exact idea, there are many people who are using many bitcoin right now and exchanging their bitcoin daily in exchanges.

Assuming 300,000 to 500,000  using bitcoins is a good number but our focus should be  80% of the users using it.

Do you have any idea how many people the 80% would be? It is huge. Even if we reach 5 to 10% of the world's population that would also be a great achievement for bitcoin in such a small age. Bitcoin is not that much old, if it can reach even 5% of the world then it means it has progressed a lot in these years.

I am of the opinion too that getting to know the number of people using Bitcoin is of little or no importance and even the figures suggested above would be wild off the mark because if the Bitcoin address is the parameter in use, how does it take care of the fact that one person can have as many addresses as possible. I personally have more than 10 Bitcoin addresses, so would that mean the addresses belongs to 10 persons?
