So its just a PVP tournament right? Last man standing? Or..

There are many kinds. Generally speaking we use two different terms to discern between events that are skill based (hit or dont hit, your gear wont matter) and ones where your gear and level and stats are important.

Wars run every hour at XX:30 and are all hit based. They will always give you the required weapons or skills or stats needed to compete equally with other players. There's a wide variety of events that it chooses from randomly. These are things like our freeze war, bomb war, team deathmatch, soccer, etc.

Tournaments run much less often, anywhere from daily to only happening once per month. Most of them are weekly events which grants each day of the week something unique to look forward to. The way these events work are each different from eachother but the one unifying factor is that your character's items and stats are important. This includes things like Guild War, Weekly PK Tournament, Capture the Flag, Class PK Tournament and much more.

The Class PK, Weekly PK and Monthly PK tournaments are very similar in terms of how they are played (broken into level groups, can use any items/skills you want, prizes based on your rank inside the event). The difference is when and how often they run, what their rewards are as well as some differences in gameplay. A good example is that the Class PK war separates people into groups based on their profession (trojans only fight trojans for example) where the weekly PK tournament puts all classes into the same event.

Tournaments generally focus their rewards on temporary boosts or bragging rights (titles and halos are very popular with players and dont cause any harm to the economy) where wars focus on giving experience or a special PVP currency which are accumulated over time and traded in for rewards.

So we can go in as a noob and partake in a hit based tournament and everyone will be given equal powerd weapons. A level 2 and a level 122 for example? And can you tell me more about the Freeze war, bomb war ect. Paint a picture for me to I understand what kind of game play that is. Obviously I understand team death match and soccer but the others I dont.

I invested in ETH and made money, WAVES, made money, JEWELS made money, NXT made money, BTC made a lot of money!

It is crazy how anonymous devs reach so much Bitcoin in their sales but I think we all know most of it is them investing themselves.

I will never invest in an anonymous dev from now because of the influx of shit lately that has made me lose money.

I am upgrading to only pay attention to projects like this that have potential and most of all a dev with big history and a name.

44btc is far away from the goal but I have faith it will reach its target.

I hope your right because I might lose all faith in crypto if this cant hit its goal and all the other ICO are getting 100's of BTC with nothing to show for it.
I guess I should keep in mind it's still has seven days left but the goal is getting further away very day that passes.

The only reason this has not hit the goal of 200 is because unlike all those shit ico's that raise 100's & 100's of btc this one isn't shoving it down peoples throats every turn you make. Sucks but the legit ico's seem to have a hard time raising capital more than shit scam ico's. but hey this project will continue on it looks regardless, they have done so much already, more than most coins do in there entire life time.

Obviously I understand team death match and soccer but the others I dont.

I had done some descriptions earlier in the thread but here's some basic details from our forum.

Quote
Vampire War

All players start with 10,000 life and lose 150 life per second. Hitting any other player with fb/ss STEALS 1,000 of their life. When your health reaches 0, you are eliminated. For thematic purposes, all players inside the events will be given a fancy vampire garment to get them into the mood.

Dragon War

The first person to score a kill becomes the dragon king. While you are the dragon king you will 1 shot all other players with fb/ss and will gain points per kill AND per second. All other players can only hit the dragon king (gaining points for each hit) and take 3 hits to kill him. The person who scores the final strike becomes the new dragon king. Ends when a player reaches the score limit.

Soccer

Work as a team to get the ball into the enemy net! The first person who hits the ball in the center becomes a soccer ball and can bounce towards the enemy net. You can still use fb/ss while you're transformed to pass the ball to allies. Allies can hit the enemy team to freeze them solid for a short while.

Note: The ball is quite slow. Protect whoever on your team has it so that your team can score!

Freeze War

Team based event where hitting players will freeze them solid in a block of ice! Hit your frozen allies to free them instantly. Once an entire team is frozen at once, they lose and are eliminated.

Bomb War

The first player to be hit becomes a bomb and after 10 seconds will be eliminated. If they hit another player, the bomb passes to them and its timer is reset to 10s. Hitting the player who is currently holding the bomb makes it count down 1 second faster. If the bomb reaches 0 while on your character, you will be eliminated. The event ends when only 1 player remains alive.

There are plenty more both on the server already and in development. Basically it's just taking the concept of hit based events where skills matter over gear and themeing them in different ways to keep them fresh for players.

Ah is windows client only

I think they said hero's is going to be on Mac.

Heroes has the potential for a mac client... that being said our client protection system involves a LOT of reverse engineering. I'm not sure how feasible those same changes will be on the mac version of the game. The fact that a client for that version of the game exists though does give us a higher likelihood of releasing something for mac users.

It will indeed be a knock back after seeing what rubbish makes massive amounts of Bitcoin but you just got to have faith and do your bit for the project.

If you have a twitter, tell the world. If you have friends in crypto why not show them what Gem you have found #JWL, invite them to the Jewels slack.

I would never say recommend and a crypto to friends but I will be to a couple of my closer friends because of the transparency of the dev.

Like you say 7days left but in crypto that is a long time lol

I think the devs should start doing that actually. I dont wanna see this fail.  Do you? Shove it down peoples throats, why not?

Its got legs and I want to see it grow. I want to see it run and become something big. If Pro 4 never can get 10k or 25k or 100k players then the sky can be the limit. People will need to buy jewels either from us or from chris for paypal at a crazy fee with restrictions. We could actually be buying the currency of gaming for the future and we investors control 90% of its supply.  Roll Eyes

Looks good, however no SSL on ICO website is very surprising. Hopefully, there will not be security incidents during distribution.

Sorry for any confusion. The website you're viewing the ICO information on actually is not the machine dealing with any of the crypto. www.ConquerHeroes.com is the machine running all of that and uses forced SSL for all pages. The apex site simply queries the info from the jewels API and outputs the results.

Because the heroes project is not out of beta yet and because there's very little done on the website (it works but doesn't have much content on it yet, has some formatting issues, etc). It would have looked very bad to people to use that as the landing page for the ICO. Better to include it on the site for the server that's online and active already.

I agree too. Everyone needs to know about this. But shoving it down their throat may not be the right way to go about this. Maybe the devs should extend the ico for another month. That can really help and will allow for more people to see it and give them a chance to think about investing over a long time and not being forced to invest with only 4 weeks notice although 4 weeks to vet this project almost seems like to long because its so easily vetable in a few minutes, maybe an hour tops.
