That post was just written by anti-ETC troll such as yourself - but of course, no one in ETC community takes it seriously. Sapienti sat. But this doesn't in any way refer to you - please, carry on.

Ξpool - Updates

Bonus Balances - These are a floating % for pool fee paid back to dedicated miners. These are applied once a week if the miner is still mining at the time of distribution. If the miner is no longer present, the bonus is fortified. Keep a lookout for promos! This rate may increase as much 10% at some special times. It is mostly determined by pool luck.

ePools Tokens - These currently have no value and not exchangeable. The details are still being worked out. However, the plan is to allocate a % of pool profit to a fund. This fund will be placed in a smart contract to be claimed by the miner at a future date (likely months). This may even have continued distribution capabilities to token owners (not sure of the legality here, so can not say but would be pretty cool to do). But like mentioned before, details are still being worked out and It would be safe to assume they have no value at the current moment.

Thanks,

So guys&gals are we going to hard fork ETC and get rid of null accounts ?
What are pros & cons of this HF ?
Will this HF truly limit the current attack vector of ETC ?
Why is this potential HF viewed as not violating ETC chain immutability - the way I understand it is that it will mute/'edit' the chain (delete from chain?) to get rid of null accounts.

Is the monetary supply discussion already happening ? If so where ?

Why was diff bomb just delayed and not diffused once and for all -> I thought that there was majority community decision to stay 100% POW for ETC at least until someone comes up with better solution ? Or do devs believe that ETC has any future without POW ? Or are we all waiting for the devs to come up with some hybrid consensus implementation and that is why diff bomb was delayed and not diffused ?

Thanks for clarification and reply!

@Longsnowsm any chance on some feedback on the Ledger Nano S Cryptocurrency hardware wallet with using it for ETC?
https://www.ledgerwallet.com/products/12-ledger-nano-s Has it arrived?

@greenuser Sorry I vanished for a while.  Been off playing with other coins and not paying much attention here as of late.  I did get the Nano, but I have to be honest I haven't yet had a chance to play with it.  I was off on some other foolish errands! LOL  I will get a chance to take a look at it in a couple of weeks.  I will be off grid for a bit, but will check back in once I get back and give you that review on the wallet.

Here is a review that Lee posted that should give you an idea of how it works.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RccX3bUpSkI

Don't worry. Me too.  Don't you just love Burst?  I have not posted for over two weeks on this thread.  I have been getting into the US elections too.  It's brilliant entertainment, i love it, the best so far, much better than 2000 when Al Gore beat Bush by a handful of votes!  They went with Bush anyway because he was more pro war. If we get Hillary we can go to war with Iran and Russia. The British Pound needs it. Also, world population neeeds thining out.

Anyway, ledgerwallet yes. They do a Litecoin version for LTC 5th Birthday look https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvqulRoIYjA

I do love litecoin, well nearly as much as I love bitcoin. I want a litecoin one.  Cheesy

I was taking the Chandler Guo approach and waking up early each morning and looking which chain was most profitable to mine and pointing my miner where the best money is.  Also I have been cashing out daily to bitcoin so I hold no more than a days mining worth of either ETC or ETH.  You never know when you will not be able to access your wallet and solo just takes up too much memory. It is getting harder to make coin. I hope Burst goes to the moon, so little running costs.

We need a new GPU and a new CPU coin to mine now the Ethereums, Monero and Groestlcoin are looking sad. We need some Devs that want to be rich and famous to make us a new coin to mine.
Any of you lot planning to mine the chain the Ethereum Foundation are currenty planning to abandon?  If enough of us mine it, Poloniex will list it. I believe the attacker will be at a bit of a stretch to attack all three chains. Also, if ETC do a fork that could be another good money spinner, why not make it 4?  I will vote to fork ETC.

Looks like there is no other option now other than the fork to address the DDOS issues

I do not agree. I have mined shitcoins for over 12 months and have shapeshift them all to Bitcoin.  I have made more BTC from Ethash, NeoScrypt, Groestl and CryptoNight algos than i would have gotten from SHA-256 per Kwh this year.
Also, i have not had to upgrade my hardware to do it.  I love shitcoins, they grow my BTC.
But it is like musical chairs, when the music stops, you best not be holding if you want a chair.
Be a wise miner, cash out daily Wink

Hello guys

I made some changes on the https://ethc.coin-miners.info/ , i have changed the payments module from PROP to PPLNS=  Pay-Per-Last-1000-Shares and added the reward page on the miner stats that show how many coins you earned in the last 60 minutes , 12 hours , 24 hours , 7 days and 30 days.

So no more pool hopping thats because you will get paid just for the last 1000 shares submited

https://www.reddit.com/r/EthereumClassic/comments/57grtp/general_community_clarification_post/

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to put together a quick post in reference to the following:

Community discussion - Takes place in various channels
Community opinion - Large community with various opinions
Community proposals - 1 Place = https://github.com/ethereumproject/ECIPs (Ethereum Classic Improvement Proposals)

All of the above are an important part of the process that drives Ethereum Classic forward.
Discussion >> Opinions >> Proposal (ECIP) >> Debated >> Accepted/Rejected >> Implementation

Community Discussion

Community discussion takes place in many different channels across many different platforms. Slack, telegram, wechat, gitter, reddit, forums, in person, etc etc etc etc the list goes on. Now, I do agree that there is some discussion fragmentation that I am going to work on but I believe there is nothing malicious about community members having private discussions about the project. Are we to forbid people from discussing ETC in person without it being recorded and published? Many discussions are had and during those discussions opinions are formulated which brings me to my next bullet point.

Community Opinions

There are many opinions throughout the community. These opinions that are formed in various channels through discussion are often posted on forums for more in depth analysis. A community member such as igetgames posting his opinion about dropping into "maintenance mode" is important for thoughtful discussion. However, it is an important to remember that at this point "maintenance mode" is just an opinion of a particular community member/s. I have opinions as well but they remain opinions until an ECIP (Ethereum Classic Improvement Proposal) is submitted, debated, accepted and implemented.

Community Proposals

After discussions are had and opinions are formed ECIP's are proposed at the following link :

1 Place = https://github.com/ethereumproject/ECIPs (Ethereum Classic Improvement Proposals)

Many discussions and debates take place after an ECIP is proposed but the great thing is that the discussions are very focused and productive. Anyone is free to submit an ECIP, it will be judged on its merits by anyone that wishes to pass judgement. Not only will the ECIP be scrutinized but anyone taking a position for or against the ECIP will have their opinion scrutinized as well. The process is in fact a very daunting gauntlet but this ensures that only the strongest proposals make it through.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts on the above.

Cheers Carlo

If ethereum classic decides to fork, it won't survive very long. It is already wobbling, barely standing as it is.

Ethereum Classic Price Technical Analysis – New Low In ETC

Yesterday, I highlighted how Ethereum classic price is in a downtrend versus the Bitcoin, and may continue to decline. The ETC/BTC pair fell further and even managed to break an important support area of 0.00150BTC. However, the downside was limited, as the price traded as low as 0.00148BTC. The pair attempted to correct higher, but the same broken support at 0.00150BTC acted as a resistance...
