Reading all this, I see mostly vague promises, empty boasting and vaporware. And, the most important take-out for 2017 is this:

Quote
Vitalik and company will continue to move fast and break things…

This, I truly believe in, and this is also why more and more people will turn to ETC. Wink

The eth was not so complicated I am now using Ethereum version Classic Mist Wallet - 0.8.1 (1.4.10 go-ethereum)

Could you explain me a way to sync the network efficiently

Version 0.8.1 is obsolete. Current version is:

Happy Holidays everyone!

A blockchain winter school is being organized Shanghai, China, during January 15th-17th 2017.

Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have proven to be a phenomenal success. The underlying blockchain techniques hold a huge promise to change the future of financial transactions, and even our way of computation and collaboration. Both the development community and research community have recently made significant progress but at the same time, we are facing many challenges.

A winter school is being organized on Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Technologies in Shanghai, China, Jan 15t -17, 2017. This winter school aims to bring together the communities working on cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies. The target audience is anyone (students, researchers, developers, professionals) with an interest in cryptography and security. The lectures in the school will be given by world-leading researchers in this area. All lectures will be self-contained, and we don’t assume the participants to have cryptography background.

In this winter school, we will study a comprehensive set of topics about blockchain technology, including: Bitcoin basics; Analysis of blockchain consensus; ETC and smart contracts; Alternative approaches to mining and consensus; Scalability; Anonymity. The winter school will include a panel — many important problems and hot topics will be discussed by leading researchers. We will also include a student presentation session, a demo session and a poster session so that students, developers, and junior researchers, can share their latest results.

More details can be found at the winter school website http://blockchain.sjtu.edu.cn/en/index.php

Hope today ETC ETH and lisk will cease to exist. To my delight and admiration, dumb bagcarriers will devastate the very essence of all senior alts and turn whats left after the slumpish massacre into black ashes of despair, decay and bitterness.

This high of ETC is hype or does it come from some good information? The curious thing is that ETH has had a similar high percentage!  Shocked
No news that I've heard. It took a massive hit because BTC price surging but that has equaled out and the market makers are correcting shit, all good.

I just realized I have a sizeable amount of ETC in my Eth fork wallet.  What do I need to do to get access to that?  Is it as simple as installing the ETC wallet and importing my Eth seed?
