Such controversy Poloniex listing ETHC, tough they said thats was a "keepsake" and would allow people only withdraw them... #moneyrules

By at least Poloniex gave everybody who had Eth when it hard fork equal etc! That is epic. You got to respect Poloniex. But yeah it's all about the money. Remember Poloniex made Eth trading what it is today...

the sweet smell of volatility... and the bloody trading fees.

20k BTC volume!!!!! https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_etc
120k ETH volume!!!! https://poloniex.com/exchange#eth_etc

Note that this is NOT Ethereum Classic on Yobit.
https://yobit.net/en/trade/ETC/BTC

People were posting that ETC has been added to Yobit, it has not.

So let me understand this correctly. ETC is in fact ETH but only 10% of the coins are still on that chain, and out of those 10% we have the stolen $50M, so basically this is a coin that holds the stolen ETH coins and a few people that didn't swap? Why is there so high volume on Poloniex if more then 80% of those 10% are in hands of the so-called 'thief'? Is that volume on Poloniex not just created by the thief? I will pass on this project. The only real project is ETH and this will never work.

Whether you want to follow ETH or ETC, here is a guide for splitting easily and secure:

Easy Money for Ethereum holders
59 minutes ago by volka in trading

Hey guys,

Almost everybody in Crypto knows there was a hardfork in Ethereum-land just a week ago.

Today something unbelievable happened. Poloniex added trading for the loosing chain, which is still alive.

Now the great thing for all holders of Ether at the point of the hardfork.
You have got 1 ETC (Ethereum classic) per Ether!!!

The main question burning a hole in every holders pocket: How can I simply and fast sell these ETC-coins without being in risk of loosing my regular Ether-tokens?

The simple and secure solution is sending the Ether to Poloniex. After depositing them you have automatically both coins separeted. Now you can sell your ETC coins.

For your regular ethers (ETH). You should send them back to a newly created address in Mist/Ethereum wallet.
That´s it. Secure and simple. I converted all my ether and send them back. No replay attack, nothing.

One last tip, hurry up. The majority of the holders haven´t figured it out yet or are to scared. But when they realise how easy it is, the price will decrease significant.

Congratulations for the free money and have a nice day

Greetinx Volka

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

If I have an old eth address created long ago, but I updated to the fork, can I use the same address to store fork and non-fork coins?

Don't do that. Separate your coins and make sure to do that safely to avoid replay attacks.

So let me understand this correctly. ETC is in fact ETH but only 10% of the coins are still on that chain, and out of those 10% we have the stolen $50M, so basically this is a coin that holds the stolen ETH coins and a few people that didn't swap? Not 10%. All pre-fork coins are in both chains, and both chains are being mined post-fork. There is no "swap", any pre-fork bagholder has both.

Any idea why pools don't work with nicehash?

nicehash means that they will have to rule everyone to use an own stratum protocol, why should poolholders implement infrastructur for them free ?
Nope, have a expanse nicehash stratum support ready but no response from nicehash for a bounty ... so that i will not implement and also not publish it...
This one could be easy addopted to eth and etc ...
