Well I registered in early 2011 and generated some of the first bitcoins in 2009 after reading the whitepaper but I have yet to post! So I'd like to get active in the forums so I suppose I must start from scratch and post here now Doubt anyone really reads these posts in this huge thread but does anyone remember joining the IRC channel which was used for connecting to other nodes back in the day? There were only a few users there in 2009 so a few of us where there talking. Old days now... back then you could send from IP to IP with a message attached I think. So I remember sending a few coins to people and asking them to join! Welcome back to the world of bitcoin! It has grown pretty large since then!

Thanks!! I don't think it can last much longer.. I'm at 1.6Ghash at the moment otherwise it gets to be 85F and the A/C can't handle it Going to have to move 2 rigs to another location to distribute the load this weekend. But yea, I gotta try to do my part to secure the network and take part of one of the greatest experiments ever

7 ATI Radeon 5870s.. each clocked about 900Mhz. There is a script which cycles them down lower if they exceed 83C. A few have 120mm fans zip-tied to 'em as the stock cooling fans broke Used to have 8 cards but one melted before I had an autokill script ATI wouldn't RMA that one (I tried!) I hate not mining @ full capacity but hopefully once the rigs are divided up it will be ok. I am in NC and it is quite hot here so the A/C is the real issue.

Been a lurker of the forums and BitCoins for like a year now and just now registering. Also kicking myself for not start mining over a year ago like I was going to.

Hello, I recently learned about bitcoins, and have become interested in them. Due to the increasingly rising price I want to see if I can buy some better hardware and mine a couple of my own.

Lo'there! I'm kinda new to the whole scene, been only mining for roughly 2 months, but I plan to take this serious. I've been learning with this forum and community, so hopefully I will be able to re-pay (as in Donation) as soon as I get a stable rig(s) with my solar panels (which are very efficient) pumping energy. Obviously I will take into consideration the upcoming ASIC changes, and might even invest some chubby bucks if recent analysis demonstrate the effectiveness |VP-counter| difficulty.

Hi, new to the forum, but not to bitcoins! I'm a freelance programmer who discovered bitcoins a while ago and loved the idea at once. Looking forward to posting here more.
