Hi,

I'd like to post on this thread: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=1721.700
My question regards the performance difference between the older versions of Catalyst (per the first post in that thread), and the latest (what I'm currently running.
I'm only getting 180MH on each of my 5770s...thought I would have been getting more.

I'd like to get out but I'm not going to humiliate myself by telling you a nice story about who I am where I come from and the name of my kids.

Not sure about immediate as I don't usually log in or post, but it would be nice if I could reply to things on the forum from time to time; I don't fancy hanging out in this subforum.

Requesting white listing per my post in the other thread: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=15477.msg208675#msg208675. (Not sure if the old requests got transferred here or not.)

I've been around in the realm of virtual currencies since the time of e-gold some 10+ years ago. I am also involved in the field equity derivatives and fx trading for a long while, and have been following up bitcoin for a year or so.
I am running mining rigs under linux, and investing regularly in Bitcoin.

I could have posted here way earlier and way more often, but I tend to start posting when I feel like I am advanced enough to bring something to the community. Sure I could have asked trivial questions instead of using my brain to anwer them myself or bragged pointlesly about my hashrate, but that is not the way I am wired. Any concern? Are all participants supposed to start as phony newbies to  be accepted as respectable members later on?

I have to say it is the first time I have received such a miserable treatment anywhere on the Internet since the time of BBSs.
For a community that pretends to promote freedom through technology there is nothing to be proud about.
This is lame, and shameful of yours, and shows how unconfident your are about your own way.

I am not begging for being whitelisted, do as you feel like.
I will get out of here sooner or later at any rate, but not with the same disposition.

That's your call.

Look, if you were here yesterday, you would see the alternative would be far more embarrassing. We don't want this either.

Hi!

I see that you've implemented a new policy. I can see that I'm already a Jr. Member and as far as posts are concerned, I am well aware that I am not trolling. My IP address is being banned for unknown reasons, (I did my research, it seems my ISP is using crap IP addresses), the reason that I'm using proxy servers just to participate in the forum.

I wouldn't want to create another account just for the sake of being able to post again. I am sending you a direct message since even a PM I cannot send. I would like to be able to participate still and I believe I have helped some members as well as contribute to the success of bitcoins especially now I'm planning on setting up a strategy to spread good news about bitcoin, as you can see from my profile website, (created a fan page with the help of my friend for our country).

I hope you'll reconsider my request of lifting the ban on my account. I have around 30+ posts and have been with the forum since February.

Sincerely
Huayra.Agera

I've become very interested in bitcoin and am in the process of setting up my own mining rig. I need to be able to ask technical questions somewhere that they will be seen in order to do this.

Please un-newbie me!

Try them here first, or better yet, search for the answer. This is the whole reason this forum exists.

Hello,

I'd like to participate in the FPGA bitmining thread

  http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=9047.0;all

My interest is more in helping the project with FPGA design, rather than the finer details of bitcoin; whitelisting could help me get there faster than posting five rather meaningless posts.

EDIT: Thanks for the quick whitelisting!

Thanks,
saar.

Hi, I'm head of a (very) small team working on a bitcoin project, which I would like to tell about and discuss (with the purpose of finding out whether something like that exists already, and if yes whether we can cooperate) in the "main" forum so I will be much obliged if you kindly let me in Smiley

Hey there,

I made my five posts, but somehow I still can't post elsewhere.

I only want to start one thread in the trading section. I'm interested in hearing other people's stories with investing/speculating in bitcoins. In particular I'd like to know:
- when they bought and sold
- what their reasoning for investing was (i.e., why they expected to make a profit)
- what their motivation was (i.e., fun or for money)
- what do they think about investing afterwards

I'm particularly interested in their reasoning, and their level of sophistication. I'm a finance student and a computer nerd, which is probably why I'm so curious.

New user here, and certainly not a bot, robot, or spammer.

I wanted to post a question in the Silk Road thread, but alas I had no ability to make a new post.

Please let me know if there is any way I can be allowed to make an introductory post in there.

Thanks for your time!

I'm in the middle of a discussion in the Marketplace about using bitcoin for transit fares (I searched and there was no relevant prior discussion).

But it looks like I just need 1 more post after this one and 15 more minutes of online time, so maybe I'll plead again in 20 minutes  Grin

UPDATE:

Actually, it looks like my replies in my original posting went through, although I got an error message when I posted the reply. Hmmm...

I would like to participate in http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=9982.0.  I guess by posting this message it will also let me finally PM the author.

Edit: or not.

Hi, I would like to request to be whitelisted please.

I have been reading this forum several months ago since BitcoinJ, and it's been very interesting to me to witness the growth of this project.

It is very interesting to watch the past 2 weeks for a sudden influx of newcomers, and I would like to be able to post to other boards if possible.

Thank you very much for your time and help.

Best regards.

I would appreciate being whitelisted, as I am having problems with the 3.22 version of the client requiring transaction fees inappropriately (0.01 btc transaction fee on 0.02 on up transactions), and I was under the impression that transaction fees were applied to larger transfers OR transfers at 0.01 btc or lower (to prevent spam).  I'd like to post this in one of the forums dealing with technical issues (unless you have an idea of what's going on).  Thanks for the help.

So before this board became restrictive, I was able to post a review regarding a transaction with Madhatter (good) and posted my RV for sale... SO I guess I am a noob, but I wanted to post that I want to buy a two handled beer jockey box with my bitcoin, and thus do my part to facilitate the spread of bitcoin, so please Bitcoin Forum moderators, allow me to truck, barter and trade!

Get me out of here. I don't want to have to spam 5 posts here.
