Maybe blackbytes later rounds only use bitcoins, so this round is larger as there'll be no distro of blackbytes based on bytes ...

Hi,

Early that day (25th. of december) I checked http://transition.byteball.org/ to be sure the my BTC are linked to my byteball address and everything was ok.

Now i checked it again and at http://transition.byteball.org/ it is indicated 0 BTC although I have linked my byteball address
with my btc address and I have a balance with 12 BTC.

What is wrong with that site http://transition.byteball.org/ ?

at https://blockchain.info my BTC balance is indicated properly

I got no bytes

1. check if you are running livenet version of the app
2. check if you are running 1.0 version of the livenet app. Before uprading make sure you backup seed words of the wallet and files of the wallet app

Explorer shows that your bb address contains 1012588898911 bytes:

Some clarification about blackbytes I found in the white paper:

1. Blackbytes are a separate currency within the byteball system.
2. Blackbyte cap is  2,111,100,000,000,000
3. The number of blackbytes is 2.1111 times the number of bytes therefore each of us received 2.1111 more blackbytes than bytes.
3. To pay with blackbyte you need to first pair your device with the recipient's device and establish secure communication. Then you pay via chat message.

interesting coin, but no blocks? need to understand

it is peer to peer chain..witness confirm..yu can learn more in white paper here : https://byteball.org/Byteball.pdf

Most people don't read the Whitepaper and most of those that read don't understand. It is better to explain it to him in a layman term

I have a question on the tech side: if there are no transactions for 10 mins, there will be no new DAG node being added or for the witnesses they will do periodic transactions among them regularly anyway?

Yes, witnesses do periodic transactions, so the order of transactions can be determined.

soembody wrote that the byteball folder is not in the normal appdate folder, so by me. Where can you find the folder with the "blockchain"?

Enter %localappdata% in windows explorer, and search for the folder named 'byteball'.

Ok guys, I didn't get my bytes yet, I'm sure it's because i haven't updated my wallet. I have written down my seed, but I have no idea what is meant when he says "back up the files to the byteball app". Which files?

What do I need to regain access to my wallet if I upgrade my bb app?

thank you

1. check if you are running livenet version of the app
2. check if you are running 1.0 version of the livenet app. Before uprading make sure you backup seed words of the wallet and files of the wallet app

what files? Do I need more than the seeds to regain access to my wallet?
