UPDATE :
554,855 btc linked which will bring approx. : 34,678 gb
and we have 255,492gb in circulation which will bring : 51,098 gb more after airdrop
So
255,492+51,098+34,678= 341,268 Gb in total in circulation after give away.
Yes that's 1/3 of all gbytes.
Yes i think in this rate we will have at least 4 more airdrops.

As i understood, 7th dealing out will take place soon. I wonder how many in total will be made and if we joined once with an address already, can we participate again with the same address. Little information will be appreciated. And one last question... Is Blackbyte going to be in a market soon? After all, this would be the real progress for the developement of the project as being added on a market is the best marketing you can do.

Just make sure that you don't make the mistake of linking your bitcoin address to a different byteball address again. Then both byteball addresses won't receive the air drop. All linkages you made during previous rounds are valid.

I hope that there will be some time to gather enough funds for next airdrops, I have a bit of BTC now. After distribution will be over, the project will take off for sure!

All linkages you made during previous rounds are valid. Well, maybe. From what I understand.... If you link BTC addy to Byteball address A via Sig, and then link the same BTC addy to Byteball address B via Sig, it will be fine to address B. or If you link BTC addy to Byteball address A via TX, and then link the same BTC addy to Byteball address B via Sig, it will be fine to address B. The issue to get the BTC basically ignored is if you try to link the BTC addy via TX to two different Byteball addresses. Via SIG takes on the prior two above examples.

Not that bad. It’s nice to see the community getting involved with the holding of Bitcoin because that will allow us to see how many people are actually holding onto their coins. I am going to participate in the Byteball distribution as well because I have a few Bitcoin that is stored somewhere. I would like to see the price of Byteball hold its price even after the distribution period is over because it seems like it’s a good project.

The issue to get the BTC basically ignored is if you try to link the BTC addy via TX to two different Byteball addresses. Via SIG takes on the prior two above examples. OP's post mentions that if the same Bitcoin address is linked to multiple Byteball address, both links are ignored. It doesn't talk about whether the link is via Tx or via Signatures.... You have two options to prove your Bitcoin balance: a. By making a micropayment. The bot will see your address the payment came from, will know that it is your address, and will instruct you to move your Bitcoins to this address. By making several micropayments, you can link several Bitcoin addresses to the same Byteball address. b. By signing a message (if your Bitcoin wallet supports this function). You tell the bot your Bitcoin address and sign your Byteball address with the Bitcoin address. After you prove one address (a typical Bitcoin wallet has dozens of them), you can either move all your coins to this single proven address or prove all other addresses in the same way -- by signing a message.
If you try to link the same Bitcoin address to multiple Byteball addresses, both links are ignored. If you did this by mistake, link another Bitcoin address.

[reminder] Beware of change addresses in your BTC wallet AND in your byteball wallet for the next distribution round!Byteball distribution companion helps you. Is you address properly linked? Is your linked BTC balance what you expected? Are all your bytes on your byteball linked address? How much will you receive? +Bookmark. Once distribution has started you can follow in near real time when bytes arrive in your wallet. Enjoy!

.... Do I need to input some node or something? This is so slow This has been discussed many times: If it takes you too long, then use light wallet. The duration of the synchronization depends very much on the read / write performance of the device. With a ssd it takes 1 day to fully syncronize. With an HD it takes factor 5, mobile with SD card weeks.. So, if you has performanceproblems use simply light wallet

BTC linked are increasing fast, above 600K BTC now ! That's very good when you know that 2/3 of Bytes are still left for distribution.

Question about the OP:
"The linking phase will end on July 9, 2017 at 04:07 UTC, after which we'll do the distribution in proportion to BTC and bytes balances on this date."
Does this mean the entire linking phase will end on July 9, also for subsequent rounds? Or will there be new linking phases for new rounds? This is not fully clear from what is written....

Hey guys,
I am new to Byteball and really do like the concept behind it - incl. the airdrop. Anyway, I am currently not holding any Bytes myself, but would like to participate in the next airdrop round. Hence I would like to clarify one thing first:
Let's assume I have 1 BTC in my wallet (which can sign a message), I then can either link it and get 0.0625 GBytes / BTC or I sell those BTC now for Bytes and should then get additional 0.2 GB per GB I already own. So in order to maximize the airdrop, why shouldn't someone sell his BTCs now for Bytes and get roughly 3 times more Bytes compared to just linking his BTC?
If I now buy Bytes over an exchange or the trading bot (OTC), will my balance then automatically increase by 0.2 GB / GB owned or do I have to do anything to receive them?
Thx a lot guys!

It's a matter of the risk you're willing to take. By only linking your BTC balance you're not risking anything, simply collect the free Byteball coins and keep all your BTC. By exchanging BTC for GBytes you can gain much more for a higher risk (price of GBytes could go down, then you're sitting on a loss). There's more information about the effect of linking vs. buying in our wiki: https://wiki.byteball.org/airdrop

There's more information about the effect of linking vs. buying in our wiki: https://wiki.byteball.org/airdropAlso, you have to consider that about 30% of bytes will be added into circulation, diluting the existing 'shares'. Therefore, I expect the GByte price to take about a 20% hit straight after the airdrop, could be more, could be less. This expected price drop will likely completely offset your 20% of additional GBytes received, at least at the time of the drop. Of course one can speculate about the price increasing afterwards......
