What exactly is the byteball trading confirmation time? Some people say it's seconds, but my deal pending for 5 hours In the byteball unreliable? Time spent is slower than other coin!!!!!
Byteball transaction gets confirmed as soon as another transaction comes on top of yours. In your case, there likely is a problem with connection between your device and a hub. what is a hub? |

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

hope price will recover, it's a nice coin and I am going to hold it for longer term.
I think the byteball is a good coin as it has good community support. Many are bitcoin holders. Richer get richer.  So you have to buy bitcoin first to get rich. |

I think the byteball is a good coin as it has good community support. Many are bitcoin holders. Richer get richer. So you have to buy bitcoin first to get rich. If you buy GBYTE you will benefit more from the airdrops.... |

I didn't receive any blackbytes in the last round, only gbytes. Any clue on what I did wrong?
Did you link your Byteball address to a Bitcoin address? It needs to be linked to get Blackbytes. |

Much much more, 1 linked BTC gives you 62.5MB, 1 GB ( costs 5x less than a BTC now) gives you 200MB, so you get 3.2x more for 5x less investment, especially now that BTC pumps very hard, it's a lot cheaper to buy GB directly. |

Did you link your Byteball address to a Bitcoin address? It needs to be linked to get Blackbytes. Not sure I'm understanding: I linked all my addresses holding btc, via chat bot, and received the corresponding gbyte correctly, but not the blackbytes. |

In case your wondering, those who shat their pants in the last btc dump, are selling Byteball (and all others alts) for BTC and cashing out to fiat. That's why the price decreased and after BTC locks in segwit, they will buy it back higher, you know, buy high sell low tactic.

i think everyone is selling his alts into btc. because segwit will bring the btc price higher than ever and btc cash is also a nice incentive.
however i will keep on accumulating byteball which will rise back up right before the next airdrop and after the segwit/cash move is over.

Well there is pretty big inflation on a monthly basis here, so the market cap hasn't fallen as much as the price. It is also the middle of the month lull, people want to hold Byteball before the airdrop, but that is 2.5 weeks away, so they don't need to worry about it. Alts generally are down too. I know everyone says this all the time about every coin, but I actually think that now is a good time to buy here. But to make a short term profit, you probably want to dump before the airdrop, sell when others are buying. |

I would guess price stays depressed for a few months until airdrops are over because it is clear from the last airdrop that many people linked BTC solely to dump their airdropped GBYTE. Those same people will likely dump the next 2 (or 3? ) airdrops. Byteball has already seen amazing growth this year, but I think (i'm guessing and i'm usually wrong) it will find its last local bottom in late 2017 before skyrocketing in 2018 and getting some media attention. I'm torn between talking about Byteball vs following Byte Club Rules (you do not talk about Byteball). |

Since Byteball is so technically awesome it would be great to actively look for major players who would have a convenience to adopt it for their businesses. Parterships and PR, they could benefit the value perhaps.

Look--yes! But don't act on it until airdrops are done in a few months because partnerships and PR will pump it, and we don't wanna do that too much right now Since Byteball is being airdropped on a lot of big players in bitcoin, I would imagine some serious pumping is on the horizon in 3-6 months time. |

Ive read the whitepaper over.. couple things come to mind.
1. I cant help but get over the fact the "witness" nodes to me feel like "centralization", as-is mentioned ... trusted institutions, banks etc can becomes these nodes. Whats preventing a majority collection of "witness" nodes from rewriting history or manipulating stuff as they see fit? Seems like a huge shortcoming to a otherwise amazing cryptocoin =)
2. The analogy of "value/stability" in the upper portion of the whitepaper is completely incorrect. The document references bitcoin's volatility in fiat currency exchange and then turns right around and states something along the lines that "bytes" are required to pay for storage used in the DAG ... hence inherent value. Those are 2 completely different and unrelated value measurements.
If you are going to use the "fee of bytes" then you have to relate that to bitcoin's inherent tx cost in fees, btc is required to guarantee miners actually include your transaction in the blockchain. This has nothing to do w/ fiat exchange price.
When it comes to both crypto's(all cryptocoins for that matter) the fiat exchange price is derived from the same thing - If people see a use for it, they will buy it, causing rising prices... period end of story.
3. Does anyone find it ironic that obtaining the entire supply is FREE??? To me, that means theres no effort / competition in obtaining the supply, therefore its inherently not worth much. I realize it all comes down to if enough folks find it useful enough to justify the cost of purchasing more from an exchange ... but still. The advantages of this coin will have to blow away Bitcoin in nearly every aspect AND people will have to want to use it more.... for this coin to be successful, otherwise it will just end up being another 1 out of hundreds of alts that dont mean anything. Just my 2c
In the end, #1 is my most concerning question, if someone could answer it in a way that instills more confidence in the network, Ill stand behind this alt like none other. But if its easily compromised through the "witnesses" then there really is no point to this coin.

As regards point 3: you should not confuse value with cost. Cost is what you pay. Value is what you get. Sometimes those are unrelated. |
