I have yet to hear about a drug free country. Not even the big US of A is drug-free. Let alone a country such as the Philippines. However, I admire the Phil president for his dedication and hard work to eradicate drugs in his country. Never have i seen a man work so relentless to solve a dug problem. Who knows he might make history by making his country the first ever drug free. Nevertheless, the fight against illegal drugs doesn't rest in one mans hand only. It must be a collective effort from citizens of a country. Should they decide to be drug free they must do their part in the fight by not using/selling, passing helpful information to authorities, etc.
I've been spamming this quite heavily in this thread now, but that's mostly because nobody seems to be reading anything.

A drug free country does not exist and will never exist.

The use of drugs is a paramount aspect of human nature. Humans have been using drugs since long before any hint of modern civilization came into being. There is nothing wrong with taking drugs responsibly and there will always be people who will be compelled to try drugs, no matter how hard idiotic uninformed nonsense will try to demonize the use.
Nobody other than sheep and greedy warmongers and profiteers want "drug-free" countries. And most of the people I've just mentioned only pretend to fight for a drug-free world. Nobody who knows anything about drugs would ever propagate this war on drugs nonsense.

I am a supporter of drug legalization. But I really doubt whether it will work in the Philippines. Even for the legalization to happen in the future, the current bunch of drug kingpins needs to be taken out. But going by the public opinion, I don't think that the legalization will ever happen in that country.

I think our President Rodrigo Duterte can make the Philiplines free from drugs. I believe with the support from everyone, this dream can be achieve in no time. As i see today, people critizes our the negative side of the program but doesn't look atthe positive effects from it. I, as a student, i hope that this goal can be achieve as soon a possible to make our country better.

Your right, Especially to those people who related in drugs, they are looking for the bad consequences of the presidential duterte, to cover up what they are doing wrong. Hopefully the Philippines will be well equipped with the help of President duterte.

Yes, I also believe that President Rodrigo Duterte can do it. But our president can't to do it own by himself. Every citizens should act and do their role to help our country prevent from using and selling drugs. Government should act to this many of crimes are cause by drugs like rape, murder, terrorism and other illegal activities. Lot of people still believes that President Duterte can do it even others make it bad. Police should wear cameras on their vest to insure what is really happened during their buy bust opeation.

I'm not expecting anything. Europe and the US would have to make the first moves in that direction, the rest of the world would eventually follow. But even getting the US and Europe to move is pretty much impossible in the short term. At least research on currently "purely recreational" drugs is being legalized now.

I think it will not be perfectly drug free but right now we are on the right direction of  eliminating drugs in our community. We just have to trust our current President in his war against drugs. It may be bloody and deadly but after all we will be the one to benefit the result of it. Anyway we will not be afraid if we are not involve to any drug related activities. For the longest time, none of the past presidents even bother to fight drugs to their bone, maybe because those drug syndicates are their financiers in the elections and other endeavors of the government officials are funded by drug money. Let us cross our fingers and hope for the better Philippines.

Yes, It seems that it is also impossible to have a drug free country. Well we can see or hear so many rumors on having a drug free country but nah i think it is really impossible. I am also a supporter for the legalization of weed but there are so many risks involving this kind of legalization and doubts and fears about the people living in the community, yet we knew that people have different mentality and understanding on how drugs can be used.

It's not possible, do you remember during the campaign period of Mr. President? He said, it will just take 3 to 6 months to free drugs, then approximately after a year he said that it may take another year for his term to finish it but apparently, lately he said that it will never gonna happen ,he said 'yung ibang bansa nga hindi kaya tayo pa kaya?' "Other Countries cannot do it, do you think we can?".
For me, i think, Mr. President has never been true to his words, he should really resign because after 6 months from the start of his term, Philippines is not yet drug free, but over all i admire him for his guts to make this project but i really want him to stay true to his words.

It is not possible to eliminate 100% of the illegal drugs, due to the huge population and complex geography. But you need to appreciate the results. The crime rate has fallen and the drug users are no longer seen on the streets. When someone does something good, please learn to appreciate him. I am not a Filipino. I am not even from the ASEAN. Even then, I appreciate Duterte for his courage to take on the drug gangs.

In the Philippines, some people are using drugs. But the president have a program that aims to destroy drugs. War on drugs is the program that the president use. They kill or they jail the people who will catch with drugs. But now, we can not say that the Philippines is already drug free because there are still people that are using drugs.

Recently Kian delos santos died, a 17 year old grade 11 student.
Is this what Filipinos would like to have on the Drug war on the Philippines?
You could be the next kian, maybe your son, your daughter, your niece, your cousin.

Rich people who have been linked to drugs have already given DUE PROCESS, but with likes of kian, without investigation and due process have been killed because of allegations that he fought/fired the gun first to the police which may not be true because if the CCTV footage that they already hol.d kian. With this kind of situation probably, Philippines will never be a Drug Free country.

Examples and cases like that aren´t new it´s kinda hard to believe that a country will be free of drugs with a culture so deep ion it.

Can the president of the Philippines can do it. Well I like what his doing in his campaign. It is very amazing program and very work program in the country. Many were discipline now because of him.
He can do it for sure because he is hardworking or making effort on his campaign. I wish for the best of him. Even if he is rudeness or bull headness sometimes. Atleast he is sincere all the time.
Thanks to God that we were able to have a President like him who is sincere, goal-oriented and has a plan for the betterment of our country. Why is it President Duterte targeting Drugs? Because it is the origin of all crimes. Like they say, you can stop the tree from growing if you cut the roots. And that is president doing, he's cutting the roots of the crime. Drugs is prevalent nowadays even in the ancient times, but Im still hoping that Philippines will be a drug free country. In cooperation of his fellow Filipinos, we  can live in a country that is free from crimes and drugs! Im still hoping and counting for our President.

I'm not expecting anything. Europe and the US would have to make the first moves in that direction, the rest of the world would eventually follow. But even getting the US and Europe to move is pretty much impossible in the short term. At least research on currently "purely recreational" drugs is being legalized now.

I really doubted that there is a country that has a drug free economy, maybe we could find some countries that had lesser drug use cases but when we say totally vanished? it seems that it is really impossible, for me I am one of the supporters to legalized marijuana, as it been studied that it has good health benefits than other recreational drugs that destroys your health, but i don't see any possibilities that it would legalized it when there are tons of abusers throughout different countries.

If he will be supported by people, then will turn out then. However if people will not support to him it will be difficult to execute it. Even a death penalty will not stop with merchants drugs.

Yes, it should continue i'm not against it but i am against on killings specially to kian's case which the police officer said that kian, his dad and his uncle is not even part of the drug related suspects lists. For this reason i am really disappointed and i will not support this kind of killing.

That was so cruel. They just kill people even this is not caught on act. They just frame up that person.
This killings must be stop.
President Duterte has a good campaign against drugs but it comes that the police goes rampage for killings not arresting drug involve person.
