Drug free in the Philippines

I was one of in doubt when Pres. Duterte said, he will eliminate drugs in three to six months, but he hadn't said anything how he can do that, just a promise.

It's only just a propaganda to win an election. You would hear that same kind of promises from the politicians over and over again. Almost all past presidents made the promise that the country will have a better economy if you voted them but look the Philippines is still a poor country.

Pres. Duterte should clean the Customs first because this is where the majority of shipment of drugs from other countries came from. It's a common knowledge the Customs is the most corrupt agency in the Philippines and this is one of the reasons why drugs can easily be ship to the country

Is it safe to travel to Philipine in this time? As police seem very easy to kill anyone without a question ask now.
Before I booked Cebu tiket already but I finnal cancel it at the end due I'm not feel safe,

It's very safe to travel to the Philippines especially to Cebu, as long as you did not do anything wrong or illegal. Only some parts of Mindanao is not advisable to travel.
You don't have to be worry to travel, and if you are not familiar with the place it's much better if you have Filipino friend to accompany you

About the news you heard, the police killing some people are all drugs suspects or connected to illegal drugs because of Pres. Duterte's mission to stop illegal drugs.

The administration of the of Mr. President Duterte was quite doing well actually. And I noticed that most of the politicians that against with him are now in silence mode, because they can't do nothing as long as He is the President of the republic of the Philippines. And the His campaign was always in progress. Even for the economy is giving a good result as well.

I do believe in him. He can do it. The problem doesn't only focus on the president. People from Davao (the city he filled for decades) knows his capacity as a person and a president. For sure he can do it but the only thing that will block him from all of his plans are those people who are against him. We cannot control everyone to obey or like Duterte. He isn't forced to please everyone as well, he's a human being after all.

Well, they are definitely going underground more now. I also don't like what's happening. Such a shame that he's getting chummy with China which is where majority of the drugs going into the country is coming from. China saying it'll fund rehabilitation clinics here would be like the British taking opium addicts to wean them off.

I don't think that the Chinese government is deliberately trying to flood Philippines with drugs. Although many of the drug lords in the region are of Chinese origin, they don't have any direct connections with the Chinese government. Another point to note here is that a majority of the drugs flowing in to the Philippines are coming from the countries such as Myanmar, Thailand, and Cambodia.

Majority is still from China. As for the Chinese government, the perception of the public here is that it's not doing enough to catch those shipments before they get here out of spite of Filipinos. Let's just say... the Chinese are not particularly trusted here. Some even insist they be legally discriminated because of the danger they pose, citing examples of people of Japanese descent committing treason during WWII. Guess those people heard about Malaysia.

The philippines is a country where drugs are everywhere even in the prison cells here. there are a lot of crimes about drugs that needs to be solved but it looks like the people doesn’t want it to be solved because even thou our president is solving it, the people opposes it.

That is the main reson and will always be the reason why drugs will always be present here in our country. The president cannot handle it at all. Because big dogs involving big drug trades are acting like a chameleon. They just blend in everything. And some of our countrymen favored most of the suspect killed than those families killed because of illegal drugs. How hyprocritical isn't it?

You still believes that he doesn't care about it? I am not originally from the Philippines, but from what I have heard Duterte was the only leader who had the courage to take on the drug cartels. He has risked his career in order to eradicate drug menace from the Philippines, and I expect everyone among the normal thinking Filipinos to support him.

we cant say that philipines is a drug free. Yes.The president can do it but he cant solve this problem by just killing them. And innocent people are affected and even get killed about his campaign. Maybe he will have a alternative way to solve this problem.

For a free drug  country is possible but it is still a long time to get all druglords in the Philippines.  My very piont here is just focus to the drug lords all big bosses on drug than raiding a house of small time users, pushers etc.  ..

We should concentrate on the drug lords and the big fish. But that doesn't mean that the small time dealers and the street sellers should be allowed to operate freely. Even these lower ranking people are quite heavily armed and prone to violence. So we need to deal with both these types, although I would argue that violence should be the last resort.

" President Duterte's vision of drug-free Philippines is doable ", this is according to the lead agency implementing the government's anti-drug campaign. He always says that drug problem must be stopped by all means allowed by law.
I would say that he is trying his very best to make his vision materialize. He is being relentless. His government is using preventive education, rehabilitation, providing alternative development and livelihood programs for those who surrendered. He also taps the local leaders to implement awareness with the families of the surrenderies to be aware and be involve, for them to be productive again in the community. He obviously have so many plans for this to work. Why not give him a chance?

President Digong is very keen on making sure that his beloved Philippines be drug free. He certainly is doing all that he can. Even offering all the drug dependents rehabilitation and treatment. He also commanded the local government to give them livelihood programs. So as not go back to their previous ways. He is calling on to the whole nation to support him in every way.
But true enough there are so many forces that does'nt want him to succeed.
