Hello,

Did anyone modded BIOS of R9 380 to rise the hashrate for ZEC? At his moment I use this modded BIOS: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1620733.0 , which is good for ETH ( I get 23.8 MHS stable ), but on ZEC I just get about 125 H/s from 118 H/s with standart BIOS. I did not find any thread where someone did hack R9 380 BIOS to get high hashrate on ZEC. If anyone know, please point me. Thank You!

I think using V2.0 or something I had one fetch a nice 15% increase but after managing my layouts and trying stuff out i reverted to the original bios, can't hurt to try if you don't mind the downtime.

i meet the trouble:
intel h61 no problem
amd 770t,p55 will be crashed with xfx 470 cards, the driver is 16.9.2 or 16.11.4
the same rig, with amd 270 ,is no problem.
see below:

ZEC: 1 pool is specified
Main ZCash pool is zec.f2pool.com:3357

Catalyst 15.12 is REQUIRED for best performance and compatibility
At least 16 GB of Virtual Memory is required for multi-GPU systems
Make sure you defined GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
Be careful with overclocking, use default clocks for first tests
Press "s" for current statistics, "0".."9" to turn on/off cards, "r" to reload pools
NOTE: miner uses 3000 rounds to calculate average speed, so it may take about a minute to get correct speed.
OpenCL initializing...

AMD Cards available: 1
GPU #0: Ellesmere, 3072 MB available, 32 compute units
POOL version
GPU #0 intensity 4
Total cards: 1

then the window tip: '........ stop working' and exit

Can someone explain why this is happening. V7 works flawless however I have noticed my speeds on one card drop a fair wack.

GPU0 167.471 H/s, GPU1 84.808 H/s for some reason my 2nd 280x card is only doing half hash rate. Any ideas as to what the cause of this is. Thanks in advance.

Dont overclock keep everything stock. Including bios.

They are on stock settings and stock bios on my MSI 280x cards other than the default bios from site to fix heating problem that resolved years ago. No OC done and all factory default so got no idea what going on with the 2nd card think gone into limp mode lol.
k
Try plugging in a monitor or display emulator to it.

I have since reinstalled drivers rebooted seems to done the trick not sure what went on their also had another problem with the miner crashing my system last night so not sure what going on. bugs in matrix I guess. Going to have to keep eye on me system.

I had same problem. 4 cards of 6 were working at 80 sol, other two at 170. Drivers ( tried the newest ) SDK platform etc etc caused this problem ( check claymore log ). Reinstalled windows with 15.12 drivers and all works like a charm.

Also a good one mainly for the USA much faster for his shipments than the other one sometimes can last 15-30 days

My 480 rig loses ~170 sol/s at the pool, but my 470 rig reports very accurately without fluctuation. The Pitcairn cards are definitely very efficient for zcash, but I cannot explain the pool flucuations.

Is ZEC more profitable than ETH?

not anymore, it's way lower, assuming a rig of 1000(6 x 480)sol versus the same rig that do 180MH it's 0.002 worst, conusmption is also higher i guess or on par

What bios/settings r u using to get 180MH from your rig? I have low power bios and have 170mh, on this 180mh was unstable. Is all fine on your rig?

The question you should be asking is, what is his hash per watt. You can crank up the speed but you exponentially use more power.

I have free electricity, so for me more important is MH/S Smiley

How free? Solar panel?

if you use risers here is what i have discovered they are crap Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I haven't had an issue with them, maybe with another miner or the first few versions of claymore, but I see no difference. at least with powered USB risers.

I think latest v7 is pulling more thru the risers also we saw the user with fried mobo.  This can't be no coincidence. Maybe someone could run a ammeter on the 12 v supplying the riser?  Looks like the cards are exceeding the pcie limit.  I too in the last week have fried a riser after mining many months on eth

Rx 480 rig. Burnt riser was on xfx Reference card with +10% powlimit

@Claymore, in the share rejected display, can you also display which GPU's share is rejected? So that we can adjust the GPU accordingly.

I have a rig with 6 x sapphire nitro+ oc rx 480 8gb cards and using a modded bios from eth I am getting:
- 1000h/s for about 910w at the wall
Can we get more h/s from this gpu and less power draw?

I have the exact same cards, 7 of them in 1 rig.
1050H/s 780 Watts at the wall.

You need to underclock and undervolt.

I have now with modded bios from eth gpuclk 1150 memclk 2150, gpu core voltage -100mv
6 x rx480 - 930h/s - power draw at the wall 700w
If I try to lower gpu or mem clock I get hashrate drop
