do KNC have a customer support or do reply always one of the founder?
they have some girl called Anna.) ahh thanks! hopefully she is not only working part time. They advertised for support staff some weeks back. It was on their site. I think the handing over of rigs was mentioned on day one, that being part of the job.

Does anyone know: 1) If the chips have been tested on production boards. 2) If (1), why no pics/vids/specs? Seems a bit cruel. 3) If the miners are being assembled in China or Sweden. 4) If in China, will they be tested there & be distributed to customers from China (improbable), or be shipped to Sweden first (transport & customs delays)?

no one knows and as you can see, customer service is now useless.
otherwise, KNC promised me to deliver Jupiter until end of September. once they failed, I will resend them their mails with promise and ask for full refund. If they will not refund me, I will start legal steps - within EU it is super easy and customer rights are here on another level (compared to China)

Have anyone made any calculations how much better or worse we are as a group of customers (1000s) if the hashrate of each device is increased by 30% or 50%?
A very rough example:
1000 Jupiters 500GH/s each vs 1000 Jupiters 600GH/s
Is each individual owner better with the 600GH/s or is the benefit cancelled out by the fact the each has it?

Huh? There would have to be no other miners but us for it to be better not to have more hashes.

Can you Xialla and everyone else stop WHINING LIKE CHILDREN, we're all getting really sick of it. There are still 3 and a bit more days left in September. On 1st October, if there is no update, cry all you want. Until then, stop WHINING. It's very tiresome and unmanly.

In a static environment (yeah right) it would be 1563TH (current network) +500TH (our miners) --------+ 2063TH (new world) our miners would have 500/2063*100=24.2% of the network same calculation for 600TH gives us 27.7% of the network

The benefit would only be canceled if the only gear hashing came from KNC. Since there are non-KNC miners out there, and you're competing against them for the slice of the coin caek, it's obviously an advantage to have more hashing power.

Possible scenarios:
1. Chips are done, packaged and already in their hands. Specs are great as estimated. They're working non stop at the moment to make the first rig happen.
2. Chips are not done (not done packaging) and still in China. They're praying for them to be done quickly and hopefully ship to them before 1st Oct so they can get a rig up and running.
3. Chips are done, packaged and already in their hands. Specs are lower than estimated. Power is off the charts and GH/s is underwhelming. They're trying to figure out a solution now.
4. Chips are done, packaged and not in their hands yet. Custom delays.
5. Everything is done. Specs are confirmed to be great. However datacenter is not 100% online yet. The mining pool/control panel is not operational yet. They're waiting to get that 100% up and running before shipping anything.
6. Chips turn out to be duds. They're shitting themselves right now.
7. Chips are done and on spec. However software side of thing still not 100% done. They're currently tweaking and working the code / playing around with the hardware.
8. Chips are done and on spec. However, it turns out they've made a mistake on the PCB or that the power required is way more than the components can support. So it needs to be reprinted/redone/components ordered. Delays delays delays.

Just trying to help out with all the panicking so far witnessed in here 9. A combination of a bit of every possible scenario listed. Speculaing does not help, it just generates more speculation and panic. Better to stick to the facts we have and wait for updates (from KNC directly, or from Bitcoinorama who says he is going to Sweden tomorrow and will report back with facts and pictures/videos). We all want to keep up with whats going on in this thread, but I don't think anyone wants to log in and have to read 20 pages of pure speculation and FUD like we saw yesterday. Thanks

Just trying to help out with all the panicking so far witnessed in here Not all of it is panic. Some people may feel a bit duped. KNC made some strong claims, "we underpromise/overdeliver," "margin upon margin upon margin" etc., etc. What are we expected to take away from these claims, if not "our commitments are the worst case scenarios, expect our product significantly sooner than projected, at a significantly higher spec"? Now KNC is paying for its braggadocio. Or not. If the product ships on time, KNC's choice of skipping the testing stage will be seen as bold & daring. If they fail, well...

I'm going to have to disagree. Speculating helps in the way that it can give you an idea of what may possibly be happening. But yes, for the weak people out there, they're going to panic more. I guess I'll stop then And yes, yesterday the amount of FUD was unbelievable. I've added so many people to my ignore (the ones who don't really add anything to the discussion). P.S Crumbs is alright. He trolls/FUDs about 90% of the time but he does add some useful stuff to the discussion... sometimes... in a full moon I don't add everyone to my ignore. Only the ones who don't really add anything. I like to listen to both positive/negatives. It's bad to just listen to the positive only.
